View 9 RepliesI have recently setup PPA and already use WHMCS.I can provision accounts without any issues, however i need to be able to send a good looking welcome letter like the regular plesk panel integration.As i don't know which server the account is provisioned to, i can't really send any IP informations to the customer.
Should the welcome e-mail be sent from PPA..Also, i noticed that FTP username and password does not follow the WHMCS login.username is like sub2_ 87 or similar with a password i don't know.Last, the configuration options was not created as the documentation states.Is there an easy way to add them?
i would like to customize the content of the customer panel (home tab)

I want to prevent customer of creation new Webspaces , domains, subdomains and manage DNS records.
If I put zero in webspaces, the customer remains able to create a new webspace.
If I disable DNS management, he can creates a subdomain in DNS.
I tried to put zero in domains, subdomains, webspace, dns in subscription.
None of permissions combinations or subscription limit prevents him to create a new webspace, neither add subdomain an manage the dns records.
Is it Normal that NAT / Internal IP Address shows up in customer panel ? It shows up in the detail page of Web Hosting Access, detail page of Mail Settings and on the detail page of Adding new databases.
DNS and on the section of Web Hosting Access in the front page of Websites and Domains are showing the correct public IP address

unfortunately I can not move a customer to another reseller, because of this error:
"Einige der ausgewählten Kunden wurden nicht zu **** **** verschoben. Der ausgewählte Reseller besitzt nicht die Berechtigung 'Verwaltung der DNS-Zonen', aber einige der Kunden besitzen sie."
which means "Some of the selected customers could not be moved to **** ***. The selected reseller does not have permission to configure DNS-Zones, but some of the customers do."Well, the customer does not have this permission, because no DNS-service is installed on the server.If I check the customer's permissions there is no point "DNS configuration" or something like that.
We have one server don't want to touch the php on - how can we upgrade our PPA cluster and leave the one server alone - or at least exclude it from upgrading PHP/mySQL/Apache?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 2 Nodes. Both of them are configured like this:
Node1: Roles: MySQL, Apache,. Postfix; Attributes: Apache, Postfix, Webhost; restricted=>Reseller1
Node2: Roles: MySQL, Apache,. Postfix; Attributes: Apache, Postfix, Webhost; restricted=>Reseller2
I log in as Reseller1 (clean login; not by switching from PPA Admin to Reseller1), create a Webspace and a Database. At that point I am able to see and create Databases on every Node, even on Reseller1 (Node1), which is set to restricted. I guess this behaviour is not intended, isn't it?
I have noticed that resellers traffic stats (looks like email) are not being updated and just show 0.
On the server that is for resellers I see there is a file in /usr/local/psa/var/log containing a file mail_traffic_pendings.dat with sender and recipient domain traffic. I presume this has to be processed to go into the database, but obviously it is not. How to debug this issue so that email stats get updated for clients.
Is there a good hosting reseller out there that handles customer support?

I am installing plesk automation on centos 6.5 using this command on a fresh system
./ppa_installer --password some_password --admin_email some_email
and get the following error.

Looks like some lib is not found in the mirrors.
On a clean install of CentOS 6.6 (Final) I did the following:
1. updated the /etc/hosts file to point my ip to the hostname
2. Open the ports in the iptables file.
3. ran the ppa_installer per the instructions on [URL] ....
The ppa_installer log says installed Successfully. However the following occurs:
1. Cannot browse to the url:8443, or any of the other variations (8080, 8880, https/http)
2. Yum installer is now broken (I replicated this twice). Yum will not run at all with the following error:

I can't find any limits for a customer so I don't know why it won't transfer. This is plesk 12.
Is there a limit somewhere as to how many subscriptions a customer can have?
We are trying to enable the dedicated IIS pool for some customers through the RPC API (Plesk 12, Win2k12R2) but couldn't find a way to. I understand we can do it through CLI with "client_pref.exe --set-iis-app-pool-settings <login_name> -iis-app-pool-turned-on true", and also through web interface, but is it possible via API? it would be really easier and cleaner.

Came across an answer within google, but wanted to make sure I have an updated tutorial to prevent crashing the mysql and or server as others did.
How can we reset all customer account passwords at once, whether it be a preset one and or random?
Not sure if all notifications are working or not but I do know that when I create a new customer with a new subscription no notification is received. I have tested with several email addresses.

I'm trying to find the support option on your site but I can't find it, there's just no support option for Plesk anymore.
I use whmcs to bill my cusotmers. when a account is created, plesk sends mail from admin email and name to customer as below,
A new domain name has been created.
Domain name: xxx.xxx
Domain name owner: xxxx xxxxx
IP address associated with the domain name: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
How can I disable it ? it ends up in spam and I just don't want customers to receive it.
I have recently deployed PPA with on nodes with hostnames on the serverroom.net.au domain, so management.serverroom.net.au, mail.serverroom.net.au etc. The DNS is currently hosted on a plesk server which will soon be migrated to PPA.
When I add the serverroom.net.au domain to PPA, I it fails at the sync task with an error saying that there are no A or AAA records for ns1.serverroom.net.au, even when these records exist in the external DNS. The same error occurs when I try to add the domain as a dns entry and switch to internal...
i have installed a Win2008R2 server with IIS and Coldfusion. I want to allow customer to set DSN, i know that older "Plesk Panel" versions that can do but i missing this now in PPA in the customer view. In the subscription is OBDC and Coldfusion connections allowed and unlimited. Must i do anything to activate this ?

We are looking for a solution to support multible IP's for different domains in one subscription/cusomer Account. Current, we have 4 IP's as shared. the Customer can choose under "Web Hosting Access" , which IP he wants to use.
This setting effect all domains in his Account. So it is not possible to set domain1.tld to e.g. IP 1.1.1.1 and domain2.tld e.g. to 2.2.2.2
We like to offer the cusomers one cusomer account with multible IP's
For some reason one of my customers email accounts seems to have been hacked. My admin account continues to say that the customer has reach over the 30 emails per hour limit. This is the email error:
