I have migrated User from Confixx 3.3.9 to Plesk and now it works fine.
In the Subscriptions i have disable the Feature Backup for the Costumers, but it dosent take an effect.
So i Turn it on and off again. But there was also no effect.
I have multiple backups stored under server repository (subscriptions --> <domainname> --> website and domains --> backup manager).
The physical files are located at: /var/lib/psa/dumps/clients/904279/domains/<domainname>/
When I click the green arrow to download these files to a local computer (see attached image) I get a new page with title "Download the backup file". On this page I have the option to set a password on the downloaded file, but no matter what I do (password or no password) the file is not downloaded to my local PC. I don't get a pop-up box with the option to save the file. Just nothing happens ...
I have a 6GB backup file created with another Plesk Backup Manager, now I trying to upload this backup file to my Plesk Backup Manager but after upload 3% I am getting "413 Request Entity Too Large" error, I tried with disable NGINX but still getting this error.
how can I resolve this error or is their any other way to upload my file on backup manager?
I see that Backup Manager have a file size restriction of 2GB how can I increase this?
I have an Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64 bit virtual private server with Plesk 12. The server is hired from a hosting provider. The server is used to run the Odoo ERP application (using postgres database).
The Odoo application is running fine and now I want to create a backup of the application using Plesks Backup manager.
I choose configurations and content option in the backup manager but the created backup is only 200kb.
I think the problem is the location where the Odoo application is installed is not included in the backup. I made a tar backup from the server and extracted it on my pc. It seems that the main parts of the Odoo application are in the var, opt, etc and usr directories (not in a domain but under root).
Installing the application in a domain would solve the Plesk backup issue I think but the installation script of Odoo puts Odoo in var, opt, etc and usr directories even if I put the install script in the directory of a created domain. Since the manual Odoo installation is complicated I am very happy to use the script.
My questions are:
1. Is it possible to include the directories var, opt, etc and usr in the Plesk backup and how and where do I do that?
2. Can I restore such a backup without no problem in Plesk?
I have a problem with my Plesk Backup Manager... When I'm doing server backup (sending to FTP) I get this message...

The dump have been made successfully but can not be imported to FTP due to errors. The dump 'test_info_1408120943.xml' have been leaved at repository. Please export it manually

I have setup Backup Manager to backup Files and Configurations every week for every subscription. This worked really good however we are now considering changing this to daily basis.
As the free space on server will decrease. I was wondering i there is any way with cronjobs how to remove the backup older than 24 weeks. How to make such an cronjob script?
If possible i also would like to know where the Backup Manager physically stores its backups?
I would like to have the Backup Manger run a full server backup but exclude one domain that has tons of material which does not need to be backed up as often.
Years ago, Plesk did have the option to choose the domains to backup (Admin login). However, It was a problem at times because I would forget to include new domains.
I do not know of any similar option present now to exclude a domain from the full Scheduled Backup.
I am thinking that I could set up a reseller (myself), put all of the sites I would like to backup more often in that account and run backup from that level.
The Problem with including all of the sites is that the SUPER LARGE site, bogs downs the backup process and I really do not knew it included as often.
I lately decide to change my server provided and I decided to go for pre-installed Plesk12 service , plesk installed with os installation and in the beginning was looking ok , till I faced two problems .
The first problem I found is on Backup manager , I set a daily backup with maximum of 5 but every day I receive the error :The backup backup_website.com_info_1505272137.xml and backup_website.com_info_1505262137.xml was not created , I check the current backup task and the two task shows fails.(picture attached)
The second problem I found It may be related , is concerning the File permission , the user root and on group root are not able to change any file permission but the user pinco on group root is able to change it as well as the user Pinco on group psacln/psaserv , I updated the plesk12 to latest release to see if maybe was some changes but unfortunately nothing

I've been running a Plesk server with around 100 domains for years and years now. I've always used a backup service provided by the server vendor, but with a new server, I wanted to consider some of the backup options built into Plesk.
1. It looks like Plesk/Acronis is dead or only for Windows. Is that right?
2. If I add a backup drive to the server, can I setup Plesk Backup Manager to store the backups there (instead of on the main RAID array)?
3. Are there any other 3rd party extensions that I should consider?
After a successful upgrade from 11.5.30 to 12.0.8 the Backup Manager cannot be accessed anymore. The system replies with:

We will be hosting our own closed source solutions and need to be able to not give customers access to the files in their webspace.FTP and SSH access will be blocked in the firewall, so that it easy.I see it is possible to disable access to FTP users information, but the file manager is still usable in the CCP (Customer Control Panel / Hosting Panel).Can this file manager be disabled as well?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having a strange problem with Plesk 12, after adding about 23 domains, i cant seem to add any more domains.
While adding the domain, it just keeps syncing, and then when i click on the subscriptions i see the domain has been added, but i cannot customise it.
I want to be able to copy 1000's of files from one subscription to another or rather from one domain to another on the server without having to FTP them each time. Is there a way which this can be done directly in Plesk and avoid the need to ftp the same 1000's of files into each subscription ? FTPing on my connection is really slow and takes 2-3 for each subscription / domain, whereas if I could just FTP to the server once and then copy&paste the files between subscriptions then this would save me a huge amount of time...

View 7 Replies View RelatedI imported backups in Plesk 12 from Plesk 9.5.4.
I can access 4 out of 5 domains in my subscritions, but one domain dosn't appear in the list.
The 4 working domains are "Default Domain", the one i can't access is "unlimited".
In the list of packages i can click on the number of subscriptions and see the domains, but if click on the 1 unlimited subscription nothing gets listed / no elements found.
The domains is online, but i can't access it with plesk.
Can't add new subscriptions or domains/ subdomain after upgrade. Upgraded to 12.0.18 today and can no longer add domains or subdomains. When I try create a new subscription I get the following error:

In plesk, ProFTPD ftpserver is showing as installed.
Any time I attempt to create a customer, subscription, domain, anything I get the error "The password should be between 5 and 20 characters in length.". The password is exactly like that. On some pages it gives an error to the username I chose and the error just explains what a username is (??)....
The only actual error I've seen is one from creating an account via the command line. It was a PHP error relating to a function having issues with the encoding or something. (I think this is only relating to sending feedback though?)

I've been happily copy databases between subscriptions in Plesk 11.5xx for years but having updated to 12 the feature no longer works.
In the copy database screen when the 'local MySQL server' option is selected in the drop down the 'Copy to existing database' radio button is disabled.
My service provider tells me this is a feature change.
If you would disable a subscription and reloaded that domain name. You would be redirected to a default subscription. How can i change this default landing page?

I got a new Server with Plesk 12.0.8 (old one has 11.5.30). Now I have to migrate all Subscriptions of the old System into the new one.
I tested it with one item and all time I get this warning:

I have a Plesk 12.0.18 on Centos Server. All subscriptions works fine, but one subscription have a domain with this problem.
When i change the domain prefix to "www.mydomain.com" or to "mydomain.com", this still stuck to "Waiting...".
When this happens, the rest of the server still works fine, but will not let me make any changes to the rest of subscriptions.
I try to edit the apache vhosts, but this looks fine.
I have a 'Service Plan' which has 270 subscriptions associated with it. When I navigate to 'Service Plans' page, underneath my plan it reads "Unable to sync subscriptions with the service plan" along with a yellow exclamation mark.
If I go into the plan there is another message near the "Update & Sync" button stating that syncing will take time and therefore be run in the background. When I click the "Update & Sync" button nothing appears to happen. If I then click on the plan again, as if to edit the settings I get the following "Warning: Subscriptions are currently syncing with the service plan. Please wait until the sync process is finished." and it prevents me from accessing the plan settings.
If I wait a while, I can eventually get into the plan settings again, which should mean that the Update & Sync has completed. However the "Unable to sync subscriptions with the service plan" warning is still present under my custom plan on the 'Service Plans' page and if I navigate to a subscription to check if it has been updated it hasn't.
If I change the subscription plan to another plan and then change it back to my original plan again, then the changes are reflected. But this is obviously a workaround.

today we notice that all subscriptions on Plesk when we access phpmyadmin has access to all databases,it was a Plesk update that can be done this ?

Recently I've tested the usage of domain keys on my plesk 12 server. The feature works without problems. I'm wondering however if it's possible to activate the domain keys by a service plan or subscription model. If not, for all my domains (65) I've to activate them manually and for each domain iIll create in the future I have to activate it too.
