I've been happily copy databases between subscriptions in Plesk 11.5xx for years but having updated to 12 the feature no longer works.
In the copy database screen when the 'local MySQL server' option is selected in the drop down the 'Copy to existing database' radio button is disabled.
My service provider tells me this is a feature change.
I want to be able to copy 1000's of files from one subscription to another or rather from one domain to another on the server without having to FTP them each time. Is there a way which this can be done directly in Plesk and avoid the need to ftp the same 1000's of files into each subscription ? FTPing on my connection is really slow and takes 2-3 for each subscription / domain, whereas if I could just FTP to the server once and then copy&paste the files between subscriptions then this would save me a huge amount of time...
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter a migration I did this weekend I mis a couple of the migrated domains in the subscription list. The domains are working great, but I cannot find them in Plesk.

I'm having a problem when copying folders into another folder using the same name.e.g. there's a folder called css in httpdocs/backup/css and also httpdocs/css. However, I'm trying to restore the backup and actually copy the /css dir from httpdocs/backup to httpdocs. Plesk should overwrite the existing target css dir (and its content/files) in httpdocs/css. However, Plesk creates a new css dir inside httpdocs/css so I have the "original" httpdocs/css dir content intact and also the css dir (from httpdocs/backup/css) copied into httpdocs/css so the full path is httpdocs/css/css
I'm highlighting the httpdocs (not /css dir) in the File manager - Copy Files window. I've tried that on a few installs and experiencing issue on each of them. Please see the attached screenshots.
Step 1. Select (check) the css dir and click copy (or move, result is the same)
Step 2. Mark the httpdocs dir (it doesn't matter if you click the Replace existing files checkbox)
Step 3. Final result, css dir from httpdocs/backup copied into httpdocs/css/
I've compared the dir content several times and definitely the css dir from httpdocs/backup is copied to httpdocs/css so the full path would be: http docs/css/css and the original "old" files from css will remain there.
I seem to be having a strange problem with Plesk 12, after adding about 23 domains, i cant seem to add any more domains.
While adding the domain, it just keeps syncing, and then when i click on the subscriptions i see the domain has been added, but i cannot customise it.
After upgrading (i know, i should not do this) from Squeeze to Wheezy i have got a problem with subscriptions.Plesk seems to work, but whein i want do manage a domain/hosting. i just see 502 Bad Gateway nginxClick to expand...
View 7 Replies View RelatedI imported backups in Plesk 12 from Plesk 9.5.4.
I can access 4 out of 5 domains in my subscritions, but one domain dosn't appear in the list.
The 4 working domains are "Default Domain", the one i can't access is "unlimited".
In the list of packages i can click on the number of subscriptions and see the domains, but if click on the 1 unlimited subscription nothing gets listed / no elements found.
The domains is online, but i can't access it with plesk.
Can't add new subscriptions or domains/ subdomain after upgrade. Upgraded to 12.0.18 today and can no longer add domains or subdomains. When I try create a new subscription I get the following error:

Trying to generate all configuration files OR generate broken configuration files doesnt work. Still get the same error.
When I try can create a subdomain I get the error:

In plesk, ProFTPD ftpserver is showing as installed.
I have migrated User from Confixx 3.3.9 to Plesk and now it works fine.
In the Subscriptions i have disable the Feature Backup for the Costumers, but it dosent take an effect.
So i Turn it on and off again. But there was also no effect.
Any time I attempt to create a customer, subscription, domain, anything I get the error "The password should be between 5 and 20 characters in length.". The password is exactly like that. On some pages it gives an error to the username I chose and the error just explains what a username is (??)....
The only actual error I've seen is one from creating an account via the command line. It was a PHP error relating to a function having issues with the encoding or something. (I think this is only relating to sending feedback though?)

If you would disable a subscription and reloaded that domain name. You would be redirected to a default subscription. How can i change this default landing page?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a new Server with Plesk 12.0.8 (old one has 11.5.30). Now I have to migrate all Subscriptions of the old System into the new one.
I tested it with one item and all time I get this warning:

I have a Plesk 12.0.18 on Centos Server. All subscriptions works fine, but one subscription have a domain with this problem.
When i change the domain prefix to "www.mydomain.com" or to "mydomain.com", this still stuck to "Waiting...".
When this happens, the rest of the server still works fine, but will not let me make any changes to the rest of subscriptions.
I try to edit the apache vhosts, but this looks fine.
I have a 'Service Plan' which has 270 subscriptions associated with it. When I navigate to 'Service Plans' page, underneath my plan it reads "Unable to sync subscriptions with the service plan" along with a yellow exclamation mark.
If I go into the plan there is another message near the "Update & Sync" button stating that syncing will take time and therefore be run in the background. When I click the "Update & Sync" button nothing appears to happen. If I then click on the plan again, as if to edit the settings I get the following "Warning: Subscriptions are currently syncing with the service plan. Please wait until the sync process is finished." and it prevents me from accessing the plan settings.
If I wait a while, I can eventually get into the plan settings again, which should mean that the Update & Sync has completed. However the "Unable to sync subscriptions with the service plan" warning is still present under my custom plan on the 'Service Plans' page and if I navigate to a subscription to check if it has been updated it hasn't.
If I change the subscription plan to another plan and then change it back to my original plan again, then the changes are reflected. But this is obviously a workaround.

today we notice that all subscriptions on Plesk when we access phpmyadmin has access to all databases,it was a Plesk update that can be done this ?
I don't remember to update anything during this days to this happen.

Running CentOS 5.9
I have a dedicated managed server (with liquidweb) with Cpanel and WHM.
I want to duplicate a database that I have in one account over to another account on the same server.
Usually the way I would do that is to use the Cpanel Backup tool, download the database from the first account and then restore it on the second account.
This time however the database is fairly large and my connection is not very fast, so downloading, and then uploading the database backup would take ages.
I want to copy a 5GB mysql database, but don't want to dump and then import it again since it will take long time.
Alternatively, I am thinking of copying the directory of the database using the CP command.
First, I will close the forums from the control panel.. then I will use this command:
cp -rp /var/lib/mysql/mydatabase /var/lib/mysql/mydatabase_copy
Recently I've tested the usage of domain keys on my plesk 12 server. The feature works without problems. I'm wondering however if it's possible to activate the domain keys by a service plan or subscription model. If not, for all my domains (65) I've to activate them manually and for each domain iIll create in the future I have to activate it too.

To get the error 6 times seems to mean, that i have this problem with 6 Domain.
A customer would like to move his hosting from another host to me. But the other host does not want to cooperate and give me access to the panel or files. Threw the customer I did get the ftp information, and within the config file I have the database username and password.
How is it possible to copy the database, without having the hosting panel access?

Also now after the restoration of the backups in /var/www/vhosts/<DOMAIIN_NAME>/logs/There are no logs, but they are present in /var/www/ vhosts/ system/<DOMAIIN_NAME>/logs/Before they were symlinked to the first directory.all my domains with a dedicated IP are being sent from my main IP, and they are being marked as spam because of SPF.
After restore (without any errors) some of my files are missing from one particular domain. The files are present in the backup however, they just don't restore. In this case it is a Wordpress installation and the complete wp-content folder did not restore one one of the domains.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have a problem migrating from 11.0.9 to a different server running 12.0.18. Our Plesk 11 server is running great since years ago. We have 3 resellers there, say reseller1 with 17 domains, reseller2 with 13 domains and reseller3 with 250 domains.
First, we executed a complete server migration with:
/usr/local/psa/bin/migrate -m -host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -password xxxxxx -ip-mapping /root/migration-mapping.txt -skip-license -replace-existing-objects true
The process ran properly, but in the end we've found reseller1 and reseller2 were NOT migrated. No errors were reported tho.
While investigating this issue we have found:
1) "/usr/local/psa/bin/migrate --list-resellers" returns only reseller3. So it looks like reseller1 and reseller2 are not "seen" by the migrate utility.
2) /usr/local/psa/bin/migrate -mr reseller1 returns:
Migration started at: 2015-06-03 04:21:11
The following clients not exist: reseller1
3) /usr/local/psa/bin/migrate --list-subscriptions returns the 250 subscriptions of reseller3, but no single mention to reseller1 and reseller2 subscriptions.
In short, reseller1 and reseller2 are invisible for the migration utility. Both missing resellers are ok, enabled and active in our Plesk 11 server.
We are now stuck on the migration process and wondering if this could be a bug in the migrate utility? or some inconsistence in our Plesk 11?

I'm trying to make use of the multiple PHP versions in Plesk 12, however the newer versions are missing some packages my websites require.
When yum installing them it just tries to install to the default PHP5.3 version so says it is already installed.
As I didn't compile these php versions how can I install additional PHP packages to the supplied additional versions in Plesk?
