Plesk Automation :: Adding Resources After Subscription Deployed?
Feb 11, 2014We deployed a subscription (through PBAS), and realised afterwards that the database resource was missing.
This has now been added and the subscription synchronised.
However, the MySQL system is still not available on the subscription. How can we enable the MySQL (or indeed any added resource) after the subscription has been deployed.
I saw for Webspace you can add additional webspace, is there a similar feature for the Databases?
Plesk Automation :: Creating Subscription - This Domain Name Already Exists
Feb 14, 2014The issue is effectively that we created a subscription with the domain. Which has since been deleted. The domain now wants to be added to another subscription on the account.
The domain can be seen in both the PBAS and PPA domains and everything seems to point at the right subscriptions. I presume all this is right as we have other domains quite happily added to the subscription in a similar manner.
I'm not really wanting to rip out the entire domain from the system as we spent the morning putting in 132 records, due to a bizarre lack of bulk insertion tools.

Apr 2, 2015I've created a website for a client using Sitefinity CMS and MS SQL Server 2008 R2. I've transferred the database from my local SQL server to the production server using SQL Management Studio.
I've created a customer and subscription for hosting the website and it's all up and running perfectly. However, I want to automate the backup of the SQL database for the website which I can only do if the subscription knows about the SQL database for that website. So, how do I associate the two? How do I get the database to show up in plesk for that customer such that it can be part of the scheduled backups - and of course also somethign I could restore via plesk if I had too?
The database exists. It wasn't create via plesk in any way, but I want plesk to be able to back it up, and ideally for it to show up in the customers subscription, etc.

Plesk Automation :: Plug VPS Into PPA DNS Servers
May 5, 2014We operate many Plesk VPS servers in a virtual environment for our customers and would really like the ability to allow Plesk VPS servers to switch to using our PPA DNS servers instead of having to have multiple ips on each VPS to run their own name servers. Not to mention the added nuisance of each customer having to register name servers and glue records.
We looked at adding the Plesk servers as nodes to our PPA cluster but the license jump and loss of Nginx is completely prohibitive. Is this possible?
Plesk Automation :: Database Resource On Primary Branded Domain
Aug 16, 2014I added a mail resource and a database resource to the "branding" service template, and made sure the provisioning attributes match up to an actual node. I also made sure that under the resources for the branding template the "Branding Hosting (management node)" -> "Number of MySQL databases" is "1" and the "MySQL Database" is unlimited.
Ive made a primary branded domain assigned to the administrator account. When I then login to the account, I see that the mail resource is added and I can add email accounts. However, the database resource does not seem to be activated. Indeed, if I try to add a application in the domain that requires a database, it fails because there is not a database resource available.
The database server is a separate node from the management server.
I do not see any running tasks waiting, and the events log doesnt mention anything about provisioning a database.
Separately but tangentially related, once the account is up, I dont see it listed as an active subscription under the service template. I should see it there, right?

Apr 4, 2015I am installing plesk automation on centos 6.5 using this command on a fresh system
./ppa_installer --password some_password --admin_email some_email
and get the following error.

Plesk Automation :: Automation Installer Breaks Yum In CentOS 6.6
Jan 29, 2015On a clean install of CentOS 6.6 (Final) I did the following:
1. updated the /etc/hosts file to point my ip to the hostname
2. Open the ports in the iptables file.
3. ran the ppa_installer per the instructions on [URL] ....
The ppa_installer log says installed Successfully. However the following occurs:
1. Cannot browse to the url:8443, or any of the other variations (8080, 8880, https/http)
2. Yum installer is now broken (I replicated this twice). Yum will not run at all with the following error:
There was a problem importing one of the Python modules required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was: /usr/lib64/libcurl.so.4: file too short
Please install a package which provides this module, or verify that the module is installed correctly.It's possible that the above module doesn't match the
current version of Python, which is:

I am now going to try Cent OS 6.4.. will report back.

We also queried the related tables in Plesk db, but there is no entry of the domain or the user. But the domain is present in IIS. So is the user and the directories along with the correct permissions. How can we resolve the issue and get the domain added in Plesk so that the customer can manage it from Plesk panel?

Apr 9, 2015I'm using the API to dynamically create new subscriptions. However, I frequently never receive a response back for my request.
I have enabled graceful restart, which has made an improvement, but my requests still fail to return a response every now and then.
This is problematic, because the script needs to know whether the subscription has been successfully created or not. Often times, when the script times out, the subscription was successfully created. But Once and and a while that's not true, and it is causing inconsistencies in my system.

Apr 13, 2014I am new to Parallels software, more specifically Parallels Panels. I have installed a trial copy of the software on my Windows 2008 R2 SP1. This is a Dedicated machine with no other users on it. I presume installation of Panels was successful because I can log in and see the admin control panel. I created a customer with success. I am now trying to create a subscription using the default service plan. After entering all the appropriate info on the new subscription page and submitting it, a few moments later I receive the following error:

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: I have an application that uses customer prefixes ex. user1.domain.com, user2.domain.com. The application exists in one plesk subscription (with exclusive IP), the sales site (www) exists on another subscription on the same server (different IP - shared). On a previous version of plesk (9.5 I believe) I was able to easily point the www prefix to another subscription/domain on the same server. In Plesk 11 it won't let me do that ... when I try to create a "www" alias for the intended subscription I get the error message "Error: Wrong prefix for domain alias".
EXPECTED RESULT: Some option to allow me to point the www prefix to another subscription on same server.
For the application's subscription, the DNS is hosted within plesk, for the intended www subscription the DNS is hosted at godaddy. I don't think any of that makes a difference but mentioned anyways.
