Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Missing Log Rotation Configuration File For Domain
May 7, 2015
When I specify log rotation settings for domain xyz.com in Plesk panel I expect them to be saved in /etc/logrotate.d/xyz.com file, at least this is the expected behaviour according to Plesk12 Admin Guide: ....
Apparently, it doesn't happen and I don't have xyz.com file in /etc/logrotate.d/
Log rotation doesn't seem to work either, at least it doesn't work for error.log
I read somewhere that log rotation feature has to be specially enabled in Plesk but I couldn't find specifics anywhere.
Parallels Plesk Panel 12.0.18 MU #51 CentOS 6.6 (Final)
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION The following error has started to appear on our server: New configuration files for the Apache web server were not created due to the errors in configuration templates: Template processing failed: file = /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/templates/default/nginxDomainVhost.php, error = Template_Exception: Empty content was provided for config file /var/www/vhosts/system/domain/conf/nginx.conf file: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/Template/Writer/Webserver/Abstract.php line: 47 code: 0. Detailed error descriptions were sent to you by email. Please resolve the issues and click here to generate broken configuration files once again or here to generate all configuration files.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE Appears on the plesk home page
ACTUAL RESULT Error displaying as above
EXPECTED RESULT No error should be displaying, I haven't seen this before and we didn't receive an email with error descriptions. Is it safe to regenerate the broken config files / all of them? t
On Plesk 11.5.30 I have just patched with SSLfix.sh. ......
When I run an ssl check I get - Certificate name mismatch
I am also getting the following message
Unable to generate the web server configuration file on the host because of the following errors: Template_Exception: apache2: Syntax error on line 211 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf: Syntax error on line 73 of /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/ssl.conf: </IfModule>SSLHonorCipherOrder without matching <IfModule>SSLHonorCipherOrder section
I recently received this messsage from in my mailbox "Unable to generate the web server configuration file on the host <nsxxxxxxx.ovh.net>" which is coming now every hour for 4 days now.
I first tried to regenerate an apache conf file with the magic on my Centos 6:
I just installed the Health Monitor add-on in a brand new Plesk 11.5.30 on CentOS 6.4 but all that it's area in Plesk displays is this funky looking error:
{"status":"error","statusMessages":[{"status":"error","class":"","content":"Unable to load configuration file.Click to expand...
I have a one problem in my server . I use in Parallels Plesk v12.0.18_build1200140606.15 os_CentOS 6 I vps in systemOS CentOS6.6 Final Minimal and installing plesk health monitor show error in :
{"status":"error","statusMessages":[{"status":"error","class":"","content":"Unable to load configuration file.
I have a new CentOS 7, with Plesk 12, CentOS 7 by default has XFS filesystem.
I try migrate sites from another Plesk Server but Plesk agent say: "hard disk quota is not supported due to configuration of server file system" (my CentOS 7)
I added "usrquota,grpquota", then mount -o remount / ; but when I try quotacheck -fmv / I gest this:
[root@ns ~]$ quotacheck -fmv / quotacheck: Skipping /dev/mapper/centos-root [/] quotacheck: Cannot find filesystem to check or filesystem not mounted with quota option.
but quotaon command works:
[root@ns ~]$ quotaon / quotaon: Enforcing group quota already on /dev/mapper/centos-root quotaon: Enforcing user quota already on /dev/mapper/centos-root
The problem here is why Plesk does not recognize quotas as enabled on CentOS 7??
In Plesk 11.5 I set log rotation to once a day and to keep 365 files. But I can only find 13 files (only one access_log) in /var/www/vhosts/mydomain/log. But Plesk tells me that 100 GB are used for the logs (the 13 files only have about 3 GB). Where are the files? In previous versions (before 11.5) I always had the files (named .1, .2 etc) in the same log directory.
All domains were offline this morning. Plesk showed the following error message. It seems we are beta testing the software. I am on Suse 13.1, clean install.
Unable to rotate dump: The dump rotation is failed with code '1' at /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/plesk_agent_manager line 1041.
Warning: domain "abc.com"
The domain 'abc.com' may be inaccessible after backup. Please, resume it manually!
1/ What is the difference between maillog and maillog.processed? I want to keep a permanent record of all mail inbound and outbound even if delivery is deferred by the gray listing. I'm not sure which one is the best to keep.
2/ I would like to change the way that the mail logs get log rotated. I am struggling to work out exactly what happens at the moment but I would like to rotate the log out every day regardless of size. I think currently that the maillog.processed is rotated daily if it is over a specific size.
I recently needed to make some changes to the domain.conf file at the following path: /etc/nginx/plesk.conf.d/vhosts. When I try to edit the file it just has 3 lines at the top warning me that the changes made here would not persist, while other domain confs have full configs inside.
I am positive that the domain in question is set to use nginx, double checked this, so what gives? Why is the file blank?
After my HDD crashed, I replaced it and installed Plesk 12.0.18 but not some options are missing from the panel.I'm missing this functionality: Send from domain IP addresses and use domain names in SMTP greeting
Also now after the restoration of the backups in /var/www/vhosts/<DOMAIIN_NAME>/logs/There are no logs, but they are present in /var/www/ vhosts/ system/<DOMAIIN_NAME>/logs/Before they were symlinked to the first directory.all my domains with a dedicated IP are being sent from my main IP, and they are being marked as spam because of SPF.
After restore (without any errors) some of my files are missing from one particular domain. The files are present in the backup however, they just don't restore. In this case it is a Wordpress installation and the complete wp-content folder did not restore one one of the domains.
We have a problem migrating from 11.0.9 to a different server running 12.0.18. Our Plesk 11 server is running great since years ago. We have 3 resellers there, say reseller1 with 17 domains, reseller2 with 13 domains and reseller3 with 250 domains.
First, we executed a complete server migration with: /usr/local/psa/bin/migrate -m -host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -password xxxxxx -ip-mapping /root/migration-mapping.txt -skip-license -replace-existing-objects true
The process ran properly, but in the end we've found reseller1 and reseller2 were NOT migrated. No errors were reported tho.
While investigating this issue we have found:
1) "/usr/local/psa/bin/migrate --list-resellers" returns only reseller3. So it looks like reseller1 and reseller2 are not "seen" by the migrate utility.
2) /usr/local/psa/bin/migrate -mr reseller1 returns: Migration started at: 2015-06-03 04:21:11 The following clients not exist: reseller1
3) /usr/local/psa/bin/migrate --list-subscriptions returns the 250 subscriptions of reseller3, but no single mention to reseller1 and reseller2 subscriptions.
In short, reseller1 and reseller2 are invisible for the migration utility. Both missing resellers are ok, enabled and active in our Plesk 11 server.
We are now stuck on the migration process and wondering if this could be a bug in the migrate utility? or some inconsistence in our Plesk 11?
I can not log into to plesk right now. It's display message " Unable to read Control Panel configuration file: date_default_timezone_get() [function.date-default-timezone-get]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_ timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'Asia/Krasnoyarsk' for '7.0/no DST' instead".
I'm missing files that the existing crontab requires. There are results on Google for it, but since the parallels' forum upgrade, all the Google links are dead...
The missing crons in question are:
