Plesk 12.x / Linux :: CentOS 7 - Hard Disk Quota Is Not Supported Due To Configuration Of Server File System
Feb 25, 2015
I have a new CentOS 7, with Plesk 12, CentOS 7 by default has XFS filesystem.
I try migrate sites from another Plesk Server but Plesk agent say: "hard disk quota is not supported due to configuration of server file system" (my CentOS 7)
I added "usrquota,grpquota", then mount -o remount / ; but when I try quotacheck -fmv / I gest this:
[root@ns ~]$ quotacheck -fmv /
quotacheck: Skipping /dev/mapper/centos-root [/]
quotacheck: Cannot find filesystem to check or filesystem not mounted with quota option.
but quotaon command works:
[root@ns ~]$ quotaon /
quotaon: Enforcing group quota already on /dev/mapper/centos-root
quotaon: Enforcing user quota already on /dev/mapper/centos-root
The problem here is why Plesk does not recognize quotas as enabled on CentOS 7??
We have a lot of server with Plesk Panel 30 domains. We have migrated a website with a 2 Go disk space quota on a virtual server with Web Admin Plesk Panel License. So, we don't have field (or we don't find...) to update this value (or delete it). The website disk usage is now 2.1 Go. Every day, we have an email alert.
On Plesk 11.5.30 I have just patched with SSLfix.sh. ......
When I run an ssl check I get - Certificate name mismatch
I am also getting the following message
Unable to generate the web server configuration file on the host because of the following errors: Template_Exception: apache2: Syntax error on line 211 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf: Syntax error on line 73 of /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/ssl.conf: </IfModule>SSLHonorCipherOrder without matching <IfModule>SSLHonorCipherOrder section
I recently received this messsage from in my mailbox "Unable to generate the web server configuration file on the host <nsxxxxxxx.ovh.net>" which is coming now every hour for 4 days now.
I first tried to regenerate an apache conf file with the magic on my Centos 6:
I am having problems with two accounts, I get the following errors:
Code: Failed to copy files storage to destination path. stderr: filemng: Cannot open destination file '/var/www/vhosts/domain.tld/httpdocs/index.html.Chn3rn' System error 122: Disk quota exceeded stdout: filemng: Cannot open destination file '/var/www/vhosts/domain.tld/httpdocs/index.html.Chn3rn' System error 122: Disk quota exceeded
Which protocol I should use for performing a backup of important server files and folders. I do make a snapshot but i found that's not enough.
My Centos 6.6 has ProFTPD configuration setup only for webhosts so no root access. I came across SCP, but don't know how to secure that like a Pro. I have also heard about SSHFS for linux.
I am trying to figure out what file system to use for my server. It has 24 hard drives, 2 run the OS in RAID 1, and the other 22 are in RAID 10. When I was installing the OS (Ubuntu 8), I kept on getting problems when I tried to partition and format the second drive (the one with the 22 disks in RAID 10) and it keeps failing on me. I then changed the file system type from ext3 to XFS and it worked fine. I also gave it another try and did not partition/format the second drive and decided to do it manually once the OS was installed. When I did it it told me that the file system was too large for ext3. So my guess is that ext3 has a limit on the size of the file system it is being installed on.
Anyway, so I am wondering, is there any other file system that will get me the best performance, mainly I/O performance, that I can install? I would like to stick with Ubuntu OS. This server will mainly serve large files for download over HTTP.
My company and I are currently discovering Plesk on a CentOS 6.6 based system. We are migrating from an old system on which FTP usernames could hold uppercase letters, which apparently is not the case in Plesk 11 (or is it because of CentOS?).
Anyway, as we can't change these FTP account names, I was thinking about creating a rule with mod_rewrite in the proftpd.conf file.
So the question is: how can I reinstall/reconfigure proftpd with this module activated? I don't even know where to find the corresponding package (which repo, correct version, etc...)
Parallels Plesk Panel 12.0.18 MU #51 CentOS 6.6 (Final)

EXPECTED RESULT No error should be displaying, I haven't seen this before and we didn't receive an email with error descriptions. Is it safe to regenerate the broken config files / all of them? t
in CENTOS 6.6 / PLESK 12 when I use the find command I get this notice:find: File system loop detected; "/var/named/chroot/var/named" is part of the same file system loop as "/var/named".
I am runing ubuntu server 64bit with plesk v.11.5.30, phpmyadmin v.4:3.4.10.1-1.
When i try to acces phpmyadmin from : myserverIP/phpmyadmin - it gives me 500 error.
When I try to acces phpmyadmin from: mydomainserver/phpmyadmin - it saves file at login into the disk instead login. I was going through different threads on the web to solve that problem but no success at all.
I have real basic knowledge about webservers, phpmyadmin and mysql server. I am runing my first cloud server just few days.
There is no possibility to access preconfigured phpmyadmin from plesk according that thread: link So what for do I need plesk?
When I specify log rotation settings for domain xyz.com in Plesk panel I expect them to be saved in /etc/logrotate.d/xyz.com file, at least this is the expected behaviour according to Plesk12 Admin Guide: ....
Apparently, it doesn't happen and I don't have xyz.com file in /etc/logrotate.d/
Log rotation doesn't seem to work either, at least it doesn't work for error.log
I read somewhere that log rotation feature has to be specially enabled in Plesk but I couldn't find specifics anywhere.
I have a centos server & whenever I reboot it, it goes into File System check and takes about 1 hr to turn online.
The irony is, I reboot the server only when the load goes high (esp when traffic is high).. And the server is down for long times when traffic is high.
The server config is pretty good, but it shows these problems once in 15-20 days.
I just installed the Health Monitor add-on in a brand new Plesk 11.5.30 on CentOS 6.4 but all that it's area in Plesk displays is this funky looking error:
{"status":"error","statusMessages":[{"status":"error","class":"","content":"Unable to load configuration file.Click to expand...
I have a one problem in my server . I use in Parallels Plesk v12.0.18_build1200140606.15 os_CentOS 6 I vps in systemOS CentOS6.6 Final Minimal and installing plesk health monitor show error in :

An automatic backup in plesk has filled up the disk space in my VPS. It seemed to crash first of all - couldn't access my website, then i tried to restart it. It wont restart and comes up with the error below.
As i can't get into plesk i don't know how to delete these old backup files, seem to be in a catch 22. Help

What is the best way to setup my server hard drives for shared hosting? I have yet to purchase the hard drives. I was thinking of using two 250GB HD's or maybe a single 500GB HD. What is your experience with this in the past? Should I aim to use SATA or IDE? My thoughts are its better to have two drives for redundancy and performance.
