Speed Of Page Loading Goes Down Some Minutes After Httpd Restart
Nov 22, 2007Recently we have launched our new cpanel server, We have some problems on that.
When we restart httpd, all things will be good before 15 min, but after that, speed goes down to 1/10 and after some hours that will get as low as nobody can view pages on the server.
We are using cPanel latest release and CSF on CentOS4.5.
Apache 1.3.7 and PHP4.4.7 is running on the server with Zend.

Feb 22, 2015I have experimented a strange behaviour on plesk linux 12.0.18 Update #33
Basically:
1. I have recompiled Apache with more file descriptors
2. Several days later watchdog did not work properly. Support requested me to remove and install wd
3. I ran the autoinstaller. All my compiled version where replaced.
Watchdog is ok now, but I have to recompile Apache.
I have been searching on forum and kb but could not find any reoccurance.
Question : Is there a way to avoid this ?

Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Migration Failing Due To HTTPD Not Listening To Specific IPs
Sep 16, 2014I built the system on Centos 6.5 with plesk 12 with a range of ips. I then (after the fact) copied the IPs of the old server to the new and moved all the domains to their IP's. This way today we flipped the routes and all should work.
The problem is that the domains only work when putting :7080 behind them. It seems like the httpd is only listening on the old IP and not the new ones. How to make plesk/httpd listen with the new IP's on port 80"

I added all the other IP's and tried changing ports under Listen but that does not work either. So changing the listening port does not work.

May 22, 2015After a fail in the update procedure I had problem with plesk panel. I have run the autoinstaller from command and after that the psa database removed for some reasons.
I have follow the steps from the plesk procedure and restore is from the backup.
Everything is working now except from the home tab when I login into plesk . I get the side bar with the menus links but in the right side I get a blank page. (the other menus works fine)...

Oct 20, 2014When I log into plesk (service provider view) and click on the Domains link on the left, I get an empty page. It isn't blank like there is an error, it has some instructions at the top about creating a customer etc. It just doesn't list any of the domains that are setup on the server. There are several reseller accounts with several domains under each. I've even tried setting up a new customer and adding a domain under the new customer. Still nothing shows up.
I have several other VPS accounts running Plesk 12 with several domains under different customer accounts and the domains all show up on those.

Dec 4, 2014I have suddenly lost all of the websites on the plesk panel server 12.0.18. One of the domains was being used to spam and so I started blocking stuff and removing some of the offending files and folders and the spamming stopped.
However it got to a point where I needed to restart the server and although it was working before the restart, once I did restart it it stopped working. All domains are loading nothing and the access_log looks like nginx or FastCGI is trying to redirect the page somewhere. The bootstrapper repair log file states:
"Details: PHP Warning: include_once(Template/Writer/Webserver/Apache.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory; File: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/Loader.php, Line: 97"

I have reconfigured the Domains but nothing changed and Bootstrap Repair

If I disable Nginx and use "Apache Module" for PHP than the TTFB time is shorter but is not the prefered way. If I use "CGI" or "FASTCGI" without Nginx than the Page loading time is a little bit shorter but with Erros on the Website.
I tried to reinstall Nginx from Plesk but this gave me Error after enable it

Plesk 12.x / Linux :: White Page After Adding New Domains
Feb 5, 2015i registered some new domains and wanted to add them via Plesk. Before i did that i got the stanard Plesk default page saying that i have to add the domains via plesk as usual.
When i did that the domain switched to a white page and is not able to load .html pages, i can load a phpinfo.php or install wordpress etc. but when i try to load a simple .html file with css or something, i only get a whitepage..
i dont know why this is happening, other domains from december are working fine, new ones wont. the error.logs are empty and even after a whole server restart it wont work.I´m using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Server 64bit + Plesk 12.0.18

Pretty sure it is a permissions problem, have tried chown -R domain.com.au domain.com.au and returns invalid user.
Can now FTP, use webmail, preview the site and have uploaded a pretty big site .... the Paraellels site displays it as 0mb disk space used and only displays the default Parallels place holder.
This is what a new domain name is displaying ######################################

Default place holder ... can't display any other page. ######################################
Have checked all DNS settings and they match the other domains.

May 17, 2014Our server is running; Plesk 11.0.9 and CentOS 5.7 it has a Q8200 CPU @ 2.33GHz and 2GB of RAM. Now there are just two websites on the server plus a couple of redirects/forwarding domains, although lots of domains are still on the server but turned off in Plesk. Both websites are OSCommerce sites and I just need to keep these sites going until the end of the year when we will switch to our new Joomla based website.
We have seen an increasing number of server crashes and after various checks of the logs, fitting a new BIOS battery, check of the hardware by EasySpace who host the server, installation of ClamAV, LMD and RKHunter (which did find some Trojans and Suspect software), I have traced it down to some external Http activity that is taking all of my CPU time and RAM. Here is a screen capture of the Htop listing and when I killed these processes the CPU and RAM went back to normal. The problem is that I usually have to restart the HTTPD service and sometimes things get so bad that the server crashes and I have to request a power cycle.

Jun 2, 2015I am currently unable to access the Plesk control panel except from the web server itself. When I try any of the following options, all work on the server itself but externally all I get is the default Tomcat page.

I don't know if the problem is on the server itself or something within our firewall - we use Microsoft Forefront TMG. The port 8443 is open, and the Tomcat page is being served. All websites working fine, both internally and externally. The server itself is in a DMZ on the network.
The server is running Centos 7 with Plesk 12.
I just noticed that when adding a new domain, I am warned that the domain resolves to another IP address - the external one. Currently, the IP address set up in Plesk is the internal (192.168...) address. Could it be that I need to change this to the external?

Aug 25, 2014Is there any way to get rid of this loading icon every time you visit the tools and settings page (top right during page loading)? It only happens on our Plesk 12 servers that were not upgraded from Plesk 11.5.
Its irritating because the page layout jumps around after the loading is complete. It is the only page to do it and it happens regardless of the internet speed.
Disabling "Enable access to premium commercial apps on the Interface Management page fixed the issue in Plesk 11.5 but this does nothing in Plesk 12.

Jul 14, 2012I upgraded from 10.4.4 to 11.0.9 and saw no errors in the process, everything was fine. However when I checked the sites after, all of them (including sub-domains) were showing the default domain page. All the files are still there no problem, and as a test I deleted a subdomain a recreated it and it worked fine.
I have a feeling it's something to do with IP addresses (I currently have two set up - most sites use one and about only 5 use the other) as going to the subscription and changing the IP address over to the other one then back to the original seems to make the site show up for most sites. I can't do this on all sites though - any commands to reconfigure everything and get it all back in to place?

Jul 9, 2014I am creating new sites in my panel and they are only loading the default page.
The IP is pointed correctly or I would not get the default plesk page.
All the other service seem to work ok. I can ftp in and I can edit files with the online file manager.
If I use the preview feature I can see the changes I make to the files, but that is the only way.
I looked in /var/www/vhosts/system/ and the conf files are present.
What else can I check to see why the sites are not working?

Jul 23, 2014I have added name servers and they should be propagated fully as I created them 3 days ago.
The issue is that the domain using these name servers loads fine and then after awhile it goes back to the Plesk default page.. Then after awhile it shows again, etc. I have run reconfiguration command, have restart bind and Plesk. Not sure what else I can do.
This is sort of a test domain I wanted to get working before switching my main sites to these name servers.

* Added them as new subscriptions
* Added domains to a current subscription
* Verified that the index.html file is deleted
* Verified that vhosts is pointing to proper directory
* Confirmed that sites work when clicking 'preview'
If it matters, this is an Ubuntu install.

Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Server Intermittently Displays Default Page
Mar 27, 2015I am migrating my old environment from Plesk 10.4.4 on Ubuntu 10.04 to Plesk 12.0.18 on Ubuntu 14.04. I was able to migrate the sites from the old server over to the new server with little issue. The new server configuration with Apache and Nginx wasn't working for me, so I disabled Nginx and reconfigured all domains. I moved each site over one at a time and tested them, resolving issues when they arose, and moved on to the next domain. One thing I did not notice at the time, was the server would intermittently display the default parallels index.html page on the sites.
I would test one site, see it is working, and move to the next, etc. I would then retest the sites and they would display the index.html page. I have tried reconfiguring each domain, restarting Apache to no avail. One site I have is a static site, whereas all of the others are Drupal sites. The static site would display once Apache was restarted, but will go back to the default page after a while. The same thing occurs with the Drupal sites as well. It is just like the sites are shutting down for some reason.
I have checked the log files, and have not come across anything out of the ordinary. I have followed several threads which discussed DNS. The issue occurs when DNS is turned on, and when it is turned off. I do not use DNS on the server since the DNS records are being managed elsewhere. I have even added the correct name servers under each subscription in our system. I have used the Web Server Configuration checker and receive one warning. I followed the steps in [URL] .... I queried the psa database retrieving an Empty set (0.00 sec). Nothing seems to work. One minute the site is there, the next is the default page. As of right now, I am unable to put this server into production since it is not behaving as it should.

Oct 27, 2014i have a domain registered within PLESK having the same name as the server itself. After a short period of time the domain shows up the PLESK default page instead of the original content located in the vhost httpdocs directory.
To restore the content it's possible to deactivate and re-activate the domain from the customers control panel. But after an amount of time the default page comes back.I first recognized the error after the update to PLESK 12.

Jul 11, 2014Upgrade from 11.5 reported it had completed but when I log in, I get the grey bar on the left with various options - Hosting Services, Tools & Settings etc. (only Profile & Preferences works) and a main white screen with the words 'File Not Found' in large font black lettering.
