I've got a e-mail notification problem since i upgraded from Plesk 11.5 to Plesk 12: One specific Application Update for customer X is being sent to all my customers.
Last week we did have a problem with a busted customer portal. ( not customer X, plus still on Plesk 11.5 ) I fixed this by using this procedure: [URL] ..... Restored two records and problem solved.
As a temporary resolution we disabled Application Updates for our customers, but I do want that my customers receive Application Updates, but just the one where they are the recipient.
I would like to know what are the kernel values for an RPM kernel.. I mean, I have the latest 2.6.x kernel running on a RHE 4 system, my question.. Is there any way to know the actual kernel values (drivers, options, etc)?
Same as when we write a phpinfo file (that shows libraries, etc) to know php values..
Id like to know how If can backup my actual config ( I have a vps at vpsempire) that my buddy is setting up for us to have a vpn.
My idea is to have a backup just in case something happens to the server or If I should migrate it ( just precaution). FYI: server has 128 mb the os Is centos
One friend I host sites for is reporting 492MB in WHM, but running DU reports 5.4GB for just one site!!! I've had the DC run Quotafix, but it's still not correct. The site is drupal and DC said they can't even list the tmp folder for that account. Any suggestions so I don't loose $45/month in extra charges? I have no clue how many months this is been going on, but it's costing me allot it seems.
i have to reload a page several times. at least once. the templates show up fine, but the actual images and contents do not show up unless i reload the page....this is evident during peak hours but not during normal hours.....
I have some small colo in an a DC that I have actual transfer basis on each server. Now they give me MRTG graphs and they say they go by what the switch reports for when they bill me. I haven't had an issue until this month when one of my servers which I only have one TB with was reported using 1372GB on their switch.
Now on my MRTG graphs it reported the monthly graph as the following:
Average In: 2360.8 kb/s (2.4%) 763.855996 GB Average Out: 471.7 kb/s (0.5%) 152.6205485 GB
This reports under 1TB, so I thought that I was okay on my usage. Am I wrong in thinking that the average usage and actual usage should be very similar? I figured since MRTG takes how much you transfer every 5 minutes and averages that over 300 seconds to find the rate that it would report basically the same average usage as my actual usage.
I am running plesk 11.05 Plesk on windows server. I have noticed this things twice...
While migrating accounts one server to another Smartermail not showing actual mail received date. For all accounts and emails Smartermail showing Migration date..
My more than 10000 emails showing migration date as received date..
Not interested in reseller plans or any of that - strictly as a site for domain purchase and personal site hosting. I have them and am becoming very unsatisfied and looking for alternatives.
Based on my experience with their twin brand, Hostmonster, I would say that they should be just fine for a hobby site/playing around. I don't know about their support, as I didn't use it.
I did a search, and found mostly good things about solarVPS here. I want a little more re-assurance and hope that others that had good or bad experience with them can chip in on their VPS service.
I'm using Awardspace right now, but cannot say that I'm completely happy with them, mostly because of the downtime issues. It is up pretty much 99% of the time as they claim, but there are some issues with mysql database latency which from time to time make my site inaccessible, even thought the server is actually up.
Anybody else using this service ?

i would like some advice on getting a domain and a website ..ok now iv done a bit of research and read some articles about keyword and all and i do have a domain name in mind but dont really know if it would be sussesfull so i want ur opinion the name is (URL address blocked: See forum rules) - or it could be .com.au it dosent matter ...both of them are avalible.and the site i would be looking at putting on it would really just be a bit of a personal site ...with forum and chats and a bit of stuff about me and where im from ...so what do u guys think would that be great or not?
I signed up for a basic dedicated server (carbon.aeflexmedia.com/69.65.42.26) from Gigenet back in September. It's now almost May, and I've got one simple thing to say about Gigenet - they are incredible.
I had a small issue when first getting the server, where I was supposed to have VPN/KVMoIP access and didn't have it, but a quick phone call to their support team, and a couple of hours later, I had the server setup with VPN and KVMoIP. Aside from that, as well as a few tickets regarding IP/PTR requests, I haven't had to use the support very much, but when I do contact support, replies come typically within 5-10 minutes, sometimes even less.
The network is incredible, definitely the best network in the Midwest, maybe even the US. It's never down, and latency is always low to my location in suburban Chicago, on both DSL and Cable. If there are any issues, their team are always willing to solve the issue.
The server's an Intel Core2Duo E7200, with 2GB of RAM, and a 250GB Hard Drive. The hardware is top notch, and I haven't had any issues with it. The server also has KVMoIP/IPMI, which is accessible through the control panel, as well as through VPN.
Does anyone here use rsync palace? Their prices look good, but there is not a lot of company information, which I may need before recommending this service.
I seen these two mentioned in a thread, but doing a search on either one here brings up nothing. Just thought I would get some opinions if anyone here uses either of these companies.
I've never written a review before neither have i really remained active on these forums, but i'd like to give you my small updated review of Gigenet if it would help.
I can honestly say i've only been with these for a week at the most thus going to give a monthly update on my hosting experience with Gigenet. If you don't fancy reading through this whole post then let me make it quick for you, i've purchased a dedicated server from them and they're fantastic - i would highly recommend them to anyone. The Setup

I ordered at about 10pm GMT (what time this is in the US i do not know) but i woke up the following morning with all the details i needed to start working on the dedicated server. The time was 23:23:51 when i receieved details for the server so the setup was a little under 1 hour and a half. I'll let you discuss the setup time, but i thought it was fantastic. The Support

I'm very new to the web hosting industry (i've had experience with resellers before) so i've required a lot of help from their sales and support - which i can happily say has been the best experience i've had from a company such as theirselves before. They've been able to reply to all my support tickets within 5 minutes and i've started about 5 different tickets on numerous occasions requiring help, they gave a prompt reply with everything i needed to know.

I'm assuming it's not the lowest pricing in the world, it's always possible to find better deals elsewhere but i would seriously pay more for the service Gigenet has to offer, it's well worth it. If the service they have provided so far is going to continue which i'm sure it will, then i'm going to be using these guys for years to come. The Uptime

It's just what you'd expect for a weeks of hosting really, 100%. But the service they run is definately professional so i can't see any problems persisting, but i'll update you all with this information as time passes. I've not met any other problems as of yet either, but again i'll update you on my progress.
Again, i can't emphasise enough how happy i am to be a customer of Gignet's and i'm going to be a customer for a while to come. I hope this small review has been of any help to anyone currently researching Gigenet.
