IPtables - Parallels Infrastructure

We have been trying all day to resolve a very annoying issue with iptables, more info below;

After following the above guide, PIM became not available but clients were able to start their firewalls without any issues.
I made some changes and PIM and clients firewalls were fine but certain features in PIM are not functioning, as seen below;

Cannot create Containers on the "linux.x86_64" platform as no suitable Hardware Nodes are available.
Possible reasons
All compatible Hardware Nodes are offline.
No OS templates found.
Possible solutions
Try again and select another platform or Hardware Node.
Install at least one OS template for this platform.

There is 100's of templates and I was able to create containers before I made the iptable changes.
I have been in contact with Parallels but it seems they don't know how to solve it either as they haven't replied for almost 4 hours. (they were replying instantly until gave them the above)

I'm in the process of installing PPA on infrastructure running Parallels Cloud Server. Each container has 2 interfaces, one public facing and a private interface for inter-server communication.
No problems installing PPA 11.5 (specifying IP's on commandline) or adding service nodes however, the firewall rules the documentation speaks of are nowhere to be seen? i.e.:
Important: After the installation, PPA creates the special firewall chain PPA-SN-Rules-INPUT used for communication with service nodes. Do not change it, otherwise, you will not be able to add service nodes to PPA.Click to expand...
Has this been dropped from PPA 11.5 ? (I recall seeing the firewall settings in 11.1) There is also no sign of the ppa.firewall tool that is also mentioned.
The only rule I see inserted is for Postgres on the management node, and 2 for pleskd on all of the nodes (open to world!).

I am currently looking for a managed hosting solution for a small start-up.
The site will have a repository of articles in it, these will initially solely consist of documents (av. 2mb in size) and (based on performance) may be expanded to containing video/audio, however this is not likely to happen within (at least) the next six months.
The site will be running on a Linux server (we will not be considering any Microsoft products), using PHP 5 and MySQL 5. There will be a registration form and users will (based on performance) eventually be able to upload articles to the site.
We have contacted various hosting providers (am in talks with Rackspace, Rochen and Network Redux) and have had everything from SAN to a 500GB (RAID 1) recommended to us.
As the site is still currently in Beta with nothing in it and proposed launch date is March 09, I would be grateful if anyone who was in a similar position could inform me how their infrastructure evolved as the site demanded more resource.

Has anyone setup a low cost virtual desktop infrastructure using multiple Windows XP installs on VMWware Server, and if so did it work out for you? If you have any tech specs could you put them here as well.
I am looking to install 10-20 XP installations across a VMWare Server (the free one) Running on 2 or 3 physical servers with probably 384-512mb Ram per each one.
Then the users would just use RDP to connect up to them. The clients are located in 5 offices within 60 miles of the datacenter they will be in. So latency on RDP won't be too bad.

I am having a problem with my vmware server2.
Infrastructure Web Access goes down, and I cant see this page [url], than I have to run this command /etc/init.d/vmware-mgmt restart, after I run this, I can see this page and consoles come up.
What do I have to do for resolving this Issues?

I execute the following commands, in the following order:
iptables --flush
iptables --zero
iptables -A INPUT -s 218.65.12.161 -j DROP
will that last command successfully ban that IP until reboot?
If not, what needs to be done? I can't access my site if I don't flush + zero iptables first but I need to be able to ban with iptables.

I called up Parallels to ask the question of, can I run Virtuozzo & Parallels Server on the same node, at the same time. They didn't seem to know the answer, which was a bit odd. Has anyone installed both and have them work without problems?

Does anyone know where my company can buy Virtuozzo Container Licenses. If so who is the best company offering it at the best price. We are interested in getting a new dedicated server with SoftLayer but they only offer Citrix XenServer 5. We really have not heard to much about people wanting to be on a XenServer VPS. If we are wrong about this whole XenServer thing please tell us because it seems like no one is using it really. XenServer looks like it has some really nice features but its just not worth investing in if its not popular enough. It appears most other hosting companies are selling Virtuozzo VPS. The Planet has a great deal on Virtuozzo License with cPanel (10 Virtuozzo License w/ cPanel = $110). Does anyone know where we can get a similar price and still get our server with SoftLayer.

I recently changed the main domain url from website.com to www.website.com, this resulted in 404-errors when i navigated to wordpress...
I found a solution on the internet and updated the records with phpmyadmin [URL] ....
When I click on Login at the the WordPress Installations I'm still being navigated to the old website url. It supprices me that there is no option to change it on Plesk level after wordpress is deployed.
How can i change or update the wordpress path once it is installed in Plesk?
I'm using CentOS 6.2, maybe there is a config file or an database for Plesk?

For some reason I cant seem to download the app on Parallels to create a website using wordpress.I have added the domain, clicked on applications > install apps > featured applications > wordpress..I then get a screen 'downloading and installing wordpress. But however long i leave it on this page (i left it for over an hour one time) it doesnt move off 0% completed.I have tried another domain but it does the same and also tried using google chrome (instead of windows ie9)

I have Parallels Plesk Panel v.11.5.30 on CentOS (Linux version 2.6.32-431.3.1.el6.x86_64) and I get error message whenever Plesk tries autoupdates.
Problem started to appear just after I updated server with atomicorpURL....When I try to update manually through console (yum update) I get following error:

I am using Parallels panel 11.5.30 Update #44 on CentOS 6.5 (64bit version) located on VPS. What is the easiest way to update:
- PHP 5.3.3 to PHP 5.5.12 (current stable version) and
- MySQL 5.1.73 to MySQL 5.6.18 (current stable version).
Is it possible to update these from Plesk's control panel?

But my Plesk's license allows to use MS SQL Servers.
This began to happen after upgrading Plesk 11 to 12.
In psa Database, in DatabaseServers table it appears. If I delete and add back into Plesk, it shows me no error, but neither added to the database servers.

When i go to https://ip:8447 i get the error
Can't connect to backend: No such file or directory
The source is locked and the "Store installation files in directory" is empty and i cant change it. The source gives an explantation:
"This field was locked by vendor. Enable it by removing 'SOURCE' option from Parallels Installer configuration file."
But where is the Installer configuration? I think i might have deleted this by accident and comparing files with another server didnt gave result.

All new domains (sites) only display the Parallels page. Upgraded to the following ...

Pretty sure it is a permissions problem, have tried chown -R domain.com.au domain.com.au and returns invalid user.
Can now FTP, use webmail, preview the site and have uploaded a pretty big site .... the Paraellels site displays it as 0mb disk space used and only displays the default Parallels place holder.
This is what a new domain name is displaying ######################################
Files listed in the file manager ######################################
Files uploaded using Filezilla FTP program ######################################
Default place holder ... can't display any other page. ######################################
Have checked all DNS settings and they match the other domains.

I'm asking if there is a server monitoring tool that has easy install steps for Parallels Plesk 12.0.18 Upd #36 or any guide since my server is running slow and I need to collect some data in order to fix the issue.
