SoftSysHosting.com Rocks - Excellent Support - Reliable Hosting - Fast Loading

Jun 15, 2009

If you need a hosting provider, reliable with logical prices and fantastic support then you should consider SoftSysHosting.com

I'm developing web sites since 1995 and through all these years I have changed many hosting companies always looking the best for my clients. BUT what are the basic 2 critical factors for a website?

1) Reliability -stability - fast loading

2) Excellent support staff.

SoftSystHosting.com has also logical prices for Windows2008 hosting needs.

Whenever I needed to open a new ticket during the process of domain transfer I always was getting a reply in minutes. Also the support staff is very gentle, experienced and always looking for to satisfy your needs. You need Full Trust for your domain? No problem. Just open a ticket and in 5 minutes you'll have it.

One main reason I left from one of my previous hosting provider was Full Trust. They offered only Medium Trust.

I left also another hosting provider since support system was horrible. I opened a ticket and I wasn't sure when it will be answered. In cases of troubles a complete absense of support may ruin your business. I usally do changes at night or weekend when my clients do not work. What happen if something goes wrong and there is no one at the other side of support to help you? I have faced such situations that the 24x7 support was 8x5.

So if you want to be free from anxiety and have reliable hosting with a fanatical support team, then I suggest you to join SoftSysHosting.com

SoftSysHosting.com Support rocks.

Fast, Reliable File Hosting

Nov 4, 2009

I have a VPS account now and I host a setup.exe file on my site, but about 10% of all downloads are incomplete and result in a corrupt setup file. I am guessing that maybe it's because too many people are trying to download the file at the same time? Whatever the reason, I need more reliable file hosting. Can anyone suggest a place to host just my files, which will provide speedy, reliable downloads? I'll still keep the VPS for my site, but need to put the files elsewhere. I don't want any free, ad supported sites, or ones that require the user to visit another site first.

Fast UK Host With MySQL Support

Apr 18, 2008

I currently run a website which is hosted with storminternet.co.uk and, while I can't fault their reliability, the (lack of) performance is undermining the usefulnes of the website.

Key features of the website are:

- completely MySQL/PHP driven so the host needs MySQL support and processor power . Some of the MySQL queries are fairly complex and call upon multiple tables of large datasets.

- monthly bandwidth is much less of an issue than speed (if that's not an oxymoron) as the number of visitors is currently <250/day.

- most if not all of the visitors are from the UK

In terms of budget I would be willing to go Ł150+/year if the service was top quality.

Fast Support Response Time

May 28, 2008

Do you know any dedicated company that has very fast response time when contacted regarding server problems (bw slowdown, server not responding, etc.). I need really prompt support, best would be if techical support is available through live chat. Also, I dont need live chat like I experienced with some companies, in which 90% of the time they tell you please e-mail support@xxxx.xxx for help. And then I wait 6 hours for support to reply. I want company which will take server down/server slowdown very seriously and start resolving the issue within 15 minutes. Does support like this even exists, ?

Also, can you tell me in terms of responsivenes which is best (if you have server in one of these companies, what was their average response time):

HiVelocity, FDC, AlphaRed, any other company with good bandwidth offers. I need 20Mbps unmetered (or 100Mbps shared unmetered), or 6000 Gb outgoing bw.

1 Year Review Of JaguarPC -> Excellent Service & Hosting

Feb 1, 2007

It has been one year today that I have had a VPS with JaguarPC. It has been a pleasurable experience.

From day one I received prompt curious service from their sales department and support the few times it was needed.

I was overseas on trip to Bulgaria and Turkey right after setting up my VPS. I messed up something just before I left that caused the VPS to crash while I was away. It was my error - I was out of the country and my assistant who knows little about running a VPS was able to get out an email to me in Bulgaria. I opened a ticket with support and gave them my friends email address so they could work with him and that was all it took.

Support had my system up and running in no time even though I messed up.

The VPS has run perfect since. Just recently my VPS was moved from the Houston Data Center to the Atlanta Center. The migration went great and the new server is outstanding. Fast and very responsive. WHM/Cpanel a resource hog as it is loads almost instantaneously now. Two Dual-Core AMD Opteron(tm) 2210 Processors! The VPS has only 8.3% of memory usage with no disk swapping. SATA drives in RAID 10. My old server was always at 46% which still was good.

Regardless of what you may read here from some grippers - you too can have a good experience at JaguarPC.

Right now you can get 15% off for life on a VPS - if you are looking for a powerful server to have a VPS on the current ones Jag is selling are it! (till Feb 15)

I am no employee of JaguarPC just a happy client who wants to tell the truth about my one year anniversary with the company.

The company has a great forum where a good group of old time customers help other customers with installs or whatever with their hosting needs. Even the resident wacko VIN DSL is a big help when he wants to be

They continue to improve all faucets of the company with new ideas and services -that along with the continuous hiring of an excellent team of sales and service personnel as the company grows make it so that I can look forward to another good year at JaguarPC.

SoftSysHosting Review

Feb 17, 2009

I went ahead and created a SoftSysHosting account after my ordeal with GoDaddy. I want to tell you alittle about my initial experiences to help you evaluate if you want to go with this site as your Windows Hosting Provider. Now, take note that this is my initial experience and so far nothing terrible, but wanted to share.

First, I created a Silver account. You are required to pay quarterly, but you have a 15 day trial period.

After creating an account and paying via palpal I was sent an email welcoming me and I was able to log into the control panel. The control panel is made by WHMCompleteSolution and is rather easy to navigate in. The first thing I wanted to do is setup my website and after clicking a few menu options I found it under 'My Products and Services'. I clicked on view Details and it had the status of my site with a link to login to DotNetPanel. Nothing was intuitive about what to do, so alittle experience goes along way here. As I clicked into DotNetPanel I was displayed a popup stating that my creditials were locked. Closing the window I finally noticed that my account website status was at 'pending'. So, I am assuming there is a setup time for this to occur.

The next thing I figured was to try and find out how long it takes before websites are changed from pending to active after a purchase, but the sites knowledgebase is really limited. Not finding anything about a time associated with the site becoming active, I figured the next step would be to find something about which DNS servers to point my domain to. I failed to find anything in the knowledgebase, but am assuming this might be knowledge within the DotNetControlPanel, which I currently have no access to.

As I was skimming the knowledgebase I ran accross a pdf for the HELM interface and directions. Opening the pdf I saw a control panel I havent seen yet and at that moment was wondering if I got lost. Not having ever used HELM before, it wasn't obvious to me that this was a 'resellers' control panel until I noticed the below the link was this 'Follow this link in order to download the Helm Reseller Guide' So, putting 2 and 2 together, I guess this is for reseller accounts.

Anyways, as of right now, waiting on my account to be made 'active' and hopefully I can find the information I need.

My Experience With Softsyshosting.com

Jul 2, 2008

Im glad i have chosen Softsyshosting as our primary ASP/C# Windows web host provider.

Recently we paid big bucks to godaddy.com, XO.com, network solutions and they failed to support our special c#/asp/flv/flash coded website.

Each host could not support one or the either of what we needed. We needed these key features :

1. Domain Aliasing
2. Supports ASP
3. C# Support
4. MIME support
5. Domain Masking
6. Bandwith speeds
7. Stable but decent storage
8. Good Support Team
9. Pricing

After going back and forth with bunch of different hosts who guranteed us that they would be able to support of our requests, they all failed.

This is when i ran into RICK from Softsyshosting.

I had contacted him in regards to our special rollout for this project and he guranteed me that everything will be fine.

Rightaway i purchased a domain with Softsyshosting, uploaded the files, pages started loading perfectly!

I contacted support team on numerous occasions regarding some issues i was experiencing, and guess what? They were GREAT! I got responses in less then 20 minutes contact. GREAT JOB GUYS!!

Impressed as i was, i then contacted softsyshosting and purchased another domain, and set things up there, BOOM!

That went flawless!

Fast Hosting Worldwide?

Dec 27, 2008

I need to provide an 8gb file download (split into 1gb parts) that will be downloaded by 80+ people worldwide, simultaneously. I'm talking for example, they will be each downloading at 1.2megabytes per second each (this is the average speed of their home connections), simultaneously.
What are the specs or things I should be looking out for in a website hosting provider?
One service I'm looking at is advertised as 0.5Mbps in bandwidth and 100Mbps in transit, for £40 a month. The service I'm looking at is sensical.net's colo business service (http://www.sensical.net/). What does this mean and is it fast enough? What is the difference between these two figures - 0.5Mbps bandwidth and 100Mbps transit?

Just a few questions to those that do use surpass or have used them. How fast are their servers for PHP like Wordpress and Invision Power Board and are are your sites stable (always fast, or are they slow at times and then fast) with them.

Softsyshosting.com & Reliablesite.net - Installed Components

Jan 28, 2008

Anyone know where I can find a list of installed ASP components on both of these hosts? I am specifically looking for items like ASPMail, ASPUpload, ASPImage, etc.

Softsyshosting.com lists the components under their windows 2003 shared hosting plans, but they are not listed under the SQL 2005 plans. Since I am interested in signing up for the SQL Server 2005 plans, I would appreciate it if anyone can confirm the availability of those components under the SQL plans.

Reliablesite.net doesn't have any components listed. Again, I would appreciate it if anyone can provide a list of installed components.

Thus far, i have been able to find a few shared hosting companies with a bit of speed, but they will not provide both ASP.NET and PHP

Is my combination hard to find and will i need to just seperate and find 2 hosting companies, one for .NET and one for PHP?

Reliable VPS Hosting

Apr 13, 2009

I've been using a Ubiquity VPS for a bit over a year now, and have been generally satisfied, for two reasons:

1) The performance has been excellent. It's still pretty fast considering how much we're using it, and I was able to record just over 200 days uptime.

2) The support seems to be competent and no-BS. Nothing ticks me off more than being lied to, or being told that something that is clearly beyond my control is my fault. While there have been various teething problems (I signed up just before they did a big infrastructure upgrade, and then the whole "someone pulled the plug on the entire company thing".

We're now looking to procure some additional virtual boxes. Not out of any slight to them (primarily to do with SEO, but also a matter of eggs and baskets), we'd like to get them from different firms.

I can generally handle the technical stuff running on the VPS myself, so in terms of ongoing support (once the basic "provision everything, get forward and reverse DNS for the server's IP set up" is done), all I really need is a company that will keep the lights on, the machine plugged into the network, and replace hardware when it fails promptly-- in short, self-managed VPS.

Each one would likely host only a single site, but the sites are apt to be fairly database-intensive. Linux-based.

So what I was thinking, to start with, would be:

* 512M memory
* 20G disc
* 500G transfer

or higher. I'd honestly prefer a bit more memory (the current VPS, hosting probably 75 domains of minor traffic, is a 1Gb setup, and will occasionally breach the red line; I've kept it reined in to 20 simultaneous Apache processes to keep memory use low).

I shopped around a bit, and was able to find a variety of providers offering packages of this size (and frequently larger-- 768M/40G/600G seemed a common size) at about $50-60 per montt.

I'm leaning towards a VPS primarily because of the assumption that the low end fully-dedicated boxes are relatively poor spec-- low permanent capacity (compared to the burst capacity I could get on a decent VPS), and most importantly, no redundant drive subsystem. Data loss is my big fear. That, and really weak performance.

But of course, nobody is going to tell you "Your VPS is on a Duron 750 shared equally between 32 VPSes", "We have RAID. When there's a roach in the lunch room, we spray it." or "We really suck at support and end up taking it out on our customers."

So who can be trusted in those departments?

I'd prefer someone with no-gimmick pricing, because we're researching today but may not provision immediately.

Reliable ASP .NET Hosting

Jan 8, 2008

We currently have our sites hosted with 1&1 but after a nightmare of intermittent downtime, poor service and complex setup requirements for basic ASP .NET sites we have given up!

We want to leave the domain registrations with 1&1 as they do that side of things well and I don’t want the issues of moving domains to another provider.

But what we need is a fast reliable host that will allow us to leave our domains with 1&1 and will host our websites, their subdomains (and hopefully emails if possible) with the domains still registered at 1&1.

Also the things we need to resolve from 1&1 are:

1 - using asp or aspx custom error404 pages for all webpages, we can do this for aspx sites though our web.config but all other extensions go to a single .html page (not very dynamic)

2 - different error 404 pages per domain

3 - ability to do extension-less url rewriting in ASPX - we could not do this with 1&1 due to the inability to change IIS settings for the application to forward all requests to the asp .net application

4 - different IIS applications for each domain without requiring a folder in the url, 1&1 require us to move the domains into folders for this to work but moving our domain to a sub folder therefore loosing links to pages in google etc

5 - great technical service and attention to problems

Also all of our customers are in the UK, is there any latency or issues with slow loading using say a US based host?

Reliable .NET Hosting

I'm looking for a host that offers .NET 2.0, MS SQL 2005, MS AJAX(Atlas) to name a few.

I like what discountASP offers, but it's a bit pricey as I have to pay $10/month for the basic plan, and another $10/month for MS SQL. Somewhere between $10-$15/month would be good.

Reliable Web Hosting

I am currently with Yahoo web hosting, but I will move to another company because Yahoo does not support PHP 5.

What I am looking before all is a solid, reliable web hosting company:
- a company that will still exist 5 years from now
- a company that will not lose my customers data
(this is the prime reason I was with Yahoo)

Besides that and supporting PHP 5, the only other main requirement is scalability: being able to move easily from shared host to dedicated server.

Money is not a key factor: I am not looking for the cheapest deal.

What hosting is required for this site to be lightning fast? Most of it is due to the coding of the site but how much of it is reliant of the server? Any suggestions?

Tmzhosting Rocks! An Honest Review

Nov 14, 2008

Ive been hosted with Tmzhosting from the past 5 months and it has been the best hosting experience I have ever had with any host! Words that perfectly describe Tmzhosting:

Fast,Reliable and Rock Solid! They won't vanish over night with your website.. They are simply the best hosting I have come across so far Ive used - Hostgator, HostMonster, BlueHost and several other highly repped web hosts but my experience with Tmzhosting has been the best and the smoothest!

I bought Tmzhosting in a promo which they had about 5 months back and I'm still hosted with that promo.. Never thought about changing my host or complaining about slow speeds!

They never gave me a chance to complain. Cpanel 11(Latest), Fantastisco Delux, Site Builder, Free/Instant Setup, AwStats, Unlimited SQL/Domains come along for the most affordable prices ever! No Slow Speeds! Special proxy server for proxy clients! What else? A 30 day money back guarantee(I bet you won’t need this!) and Monthly Payments Facility! What else do you need?

You can try Hostgator, Hostmonster, BlueHost, DreamHost, Servage etc but when your tired finding a host and you give up, switch over to TmzHosting… Or Switch over to TmzHosting tomorrow and save your Money and Time!

My overall rating would be a 10/10!

Some screenshots which I took when my blog got sudden visitors:

Even after this, Tmzhosting dint go down and accepted my site since this was a temporary Stumble effect!

VPSLink Rocks!! - 1 Week Review

May 14, 2007

We are at this time evaluating Link 4 from Spry Cameron Jones VPSLink, virtualization based on Open VZ running it's high performance ones in a monster server with SCSI raid in the Name Intelligence Inc Datacenter (Seattle, Washington). Currently we are running two websites for test, setupped at command line at hostmenow.us and server.hostmenow.us. The VPS we are using costs $39.95 monthly ($ 33.29 for annual contract), offers 20GB of space disk, 512MB RAM 3 IP, 500GB of premium bandwidth and equal share CPU from the referred server, a Dual Xeon. VPSLink provide users with a custom Server Control Panel that's allow customers do reload or change Operating System from a list with a lot of distros like Slack, Ubuntu, Gentoo, various Fedora Core, CentOs, OpenSuse 10 and two Debian. We evaluated CentOS 4.0, Debian Sarge 3.1 and now we are running Fedora Core 6. CentOS, a free distribution based in Red Hat Enterprise, have some problems with yum but VPSLink have it's own mirror with all packages needed to install yum in CentOS. Debian runs fine, in high level of security and you can update it by apt-get, but have problems with .gif due the patent issue and browser does not display .gif images stored in Debian environment if you does not recompile the appropriate package to get lzw enabled. We also installed Webmin in port 1000 of this Open VZ VPS and this week we will install Direct Admin (also Zervex Server CP is available there at only five bucks monthly). For those interested in know how various different distros runs in a VPS this VPSLink is in fact a school; for those interested in run a VPS that rocks like a physical server these ones are highly recommended IMHO. Note that you can reload or change your Linux Operating System in few minutes, you can reboot and stop your VPS by VPSLink CP that is very fine and intuitive! These guys accepts PayPal and have a technical forum where users help users and uptime is 100% including during VPS upgrades (but note please that your entire data is destroyed when you reinstall or replace your OS, then you must have a backup). It's cool.
