Jun 23, 2014
After Plesk Panel upgrade to 12.x I found a warning showing at Home>Tools & Settings> Database Servers
Warning: Unable to determine the TCP port number used by Microsoft SQL server '.SQLEXPRESS': TCP/IP protocol is not enabled in the server network configuration or the server is configured to use dynamic TCP ports.
To allow your customers to automatically configure firewall for remote database access, manually configure the SQL server to listen on a specific fixed TCP port.Click to expand...
After Plesk panel upgrade to 12.x webadmin stopped working . It's showing following error
Code: Server Error in '/' Application. The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
I have vps server with win server 2008 and Plesk 11.5.30. when i am trying to copy Mssql Database trough the panel i have an error: " Unable to copy database ". In the %plesk_dir%adminlogs under the php-error.log i have this error:
Since we upgraded to Plesk 11.5 or (I'm not shure) the last Update 12, user can not import MySQL-Databases anymore.
If the user open phpMyAdmin for import and select the database and click on Ok, phpMyAdmin does nothing.
I heard that could be a problem with JQUERY and I checked the files in ParallelsadminhtdocsdomainsdatabasesphpMyAdminjsjquery and all files seems to be there.
Only if I check the source of the phpMyAdmin Import-Website it seems, there is a problem with jquery-1.6.2+fix-9521.js.
But how I can fix this problem for all Windows-Servers.
When I click upgrade now at the plesk panel I get following error:
Parallels Panel pre-upgrade check... WARNING: The proftpd FTP service will fail to start in case the support for IPv6 is disabled on the server. Please check [URL] .... for details.
Is it safe to proceed? I guess it shall be automatically?
The upgrade has an error when manage the users database.

Following the update from 11 to Plesk 12 (and installing latest Ubuntu fixes), the Plesk panel access is broken. Welcome page says:Can not load key: key is empty. And of course, no way to login the mgt interface. All services appear up, so this is only affecting the panel web service.
Fishing out the panel.log, it appears to be at a lower level than I initially thought (see below): experiencing issues after updating from 11 to 12 on Ubuntu (12)?

I have a merak mail server with a lot of domains and users. I have installed a plesk 12.0 on a new windows 2012 r2 server together with a fresh installation of merak . Now I want to import all domains and users from my old merak server to my plesk server, but I can't figure out how to do it. I can import them to the installed merak mail server on the plesk server, but I can't find a way to import them into my plesk.
If I change DNS using Plesk Panel the DNS server does not send a notification to the slave server, however if I change DNS directly through the DNS Manager it does send the notifications. Looking around the only thing I can find is an old post [URL] .... I'm not sure if this is related.
I have a V-Server account with Strato and just upgraded to 12.0.18 through the panel updater. The installation completed successfully, at least the installer gave me no error.
After the installation I tried to login and got the following error (I wasn't able to enter my credentials..):
Which worked and I could now login. The Panel opened with the following error:
I can access certain areas of the panel without error (i.e. tools and settings etc, but I get the error when I try to access the control panel for single domains etc...)
I'm getting the following alert in my Plesk 11.5 panel :
1) Failed to update Panel. To solve this problem, you can send the update log to Parallels support. View the update logs (Oct 27, 2014). View the update logs (Oct 28, 2014). Copy the logs to your computer before you close this message. To close this message, click here.
2) Installation or upgrade failed. For more information, log in as root to the server over SSH and view the file /tmp/plesk_11.5.30_installation.log. To remove this notice, remove the file /var/lock/parallels-panel-upgrade-failure.flag from the server. Repair the failed upgrade or installation. ---------------------------- here the final part of the update log: ---- ===> Cumulative APS controller database (apsc) upgrade has been started. ===> Upgrade of APS controller database has been completed. ===> Cumulative Plesk database upgrade (revertable stage) has been started.
Health Monitor Module is installed and running on server, but not visible under Server Administration Panel > Home > Server Health on Plesk Panel 11.0.9 update #7. Is there a trick to configuring home to show it and/or a direct way to launch view of server health?
So, the installation procedure finished partially, installing net packages, but not really updating all info.
Comparison of the MySQL scheme for DB psa with another server with the new installation shows that some minimal differences in some tables and a couple of missing tables. So, it looks like it _almost_ succeeded.
Comparison of the RPMs installed on the two servers, shows some differences in installed packages and versions. For example, there are 2 versions of psa-backup-manager and 2 versions of psa-migration-manager on the "malfunctioning" machine.
Further runs of the autoinstaller does not work, since it seems to think that everything is fully installed/updated. How to proceed from this point. Control panel does not work...
We've looked through the installation log files and Wonder if there is some log file that we are missing - where shold we look for messages in case of a failed installation?
Upgrading was started not half an hour ago from the time this post goes out, all went well until the MySQL was started up. At this point it is screaming at me because it cannot access it due to a missing password. This shouldn't be to much of an issue, as you just follow this post here, [URL] .... However.. when I did that this happened.
SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
I rent through OVH, so we don't get support access or anything. We just get a 15 site license and that's it so I don't know who to turn to for this.. I haven't ever touched anything in regards to SQL and the likes, all I did was click the upgrade button and this failed me. And now I've pretty much lost everything until this is resolved.
I have daily backups for all accounts setup on our Plesk 11 server and was wondering how I would go about restoring a single database from the backup manager? I could restore the entire zip file, but that would make a mess of any other databases which of course isn't optimal. I see if I download a client's zip file that within the zip_file/databases/db_name there is another zip file which contains a tmp file which for a MySQL database it looks fairly standard, for MSSQL it looks to be in their format but is this what's really necessary? Can I even use those tmp files to restore manually through the Backup Manager -> Database Backup Repository? Why isn't there a simple way for a client to restore a database with the existing backups?
Error: Test the database server connection failed:
mysqlnd cannot connect to MySQL 4.1+ using the old insecure authentication. Please use an administration tool to reset your password with the command SET PASSWORD = PASSWORD('your_existing_password'). This will store a new, and more secure, hash value in mysql.user. If this user is used in other scripts executed by PHP 5.2 or earlier you might need to remove the old-passwords flag from your my.cnf file
I'm having a problem with Plesk Panel 11.0.9 update #64. All other page running perfect. But when I go to "Backup Manager --> Database Backup Repository --> Upload Backup File" then Plesk Panel show error: Internal Server Error 500.0.
In Plesk 12.0.18 #4 I checked Grant the ALTER DATABASE permission to all Microsoft SQL Server database users . The problem is I cannot rename database tables or other functions with myLittleAdmin for SQL provided with Plesk.
My question is: Am I doing something wrong or is needed to upgrade the myLittleAdmin license to Full version?
I found out a easy way to update the Database name of a WP installation through phpmyadmin panel, However I can't seem to update or refresh the Parallels WP Settings with correct information. Is this a bug?
This is how to reproduce:
From phpMyAdmin select the database you want to select, in the tabs there's one called Operations, Go to the rename section.
Update the user privileges to the new Database name and remove the old privileges (save) Then manually update the wp-config file which contains the 'Database name' (save) Then goto Parallels Plesk > Websites & Domains> WordPress Installations > Change Settings
Here you should notice the Change Settings for the WordPress Installation still contains the old Database name.
We have a reseler that wants his clients to receive the system warning and the account creation from a mail that he wants , not from the administrative mail that is default .
In order to install moodle, I need to upgrade MySQL from 5.1 to 5.5. I have gone through one of the KB articles [URL], but it's not very clear.
Can I upgrade it through Add/remove Components from Install and update products just like it can be done for PHP?? I see MySQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012,
