Plesk 11.x / Linux :: Unable To Setup Apple Mail Email Account
Mar 3, 2014I registered a domain name and setup a Linux server on GoDaddy, choosing Plesk panel with Power Pack. Inside the panel I created an email address, which I can access from the webmail interface without problems. I decided to setup my clients as well, using the IMAP configuration, as I'm using multiple devices.
I followed the instructions for Outlook express and I was able to setup the account on my virtual machine, with Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail.Though, speaking of the host machine, a MacBook Pro, I normally use Apple Mail that comes with MacOS. Instructions for setting up Mail are updated back to Snow Leopard at least and they do not work properly. I tried various configurations, but I was only able to receive mail on the account, while sending won't work at all.
I'd like Parallels to update the guide or, at least, to open a KB page with the solution(s) to this issue: I googled it and found out that it is a common issue.

Plesk 12.x / Linux :: After Migration - Email User Can't Login With Roundcube
Nov 24, 2014I have done the migration with the Migration Manager from Confixx to Plesk 12.0.18. Users can login tho the mail account with Outlook, thats no problem(old password is working). If the webmailer is set to Hord the user also can login. But if i switch to roundcube it is not possible to login to the Webmailer! You get the message "Die Anmeldung ist fehlgeschlagen." (Login failed)
After changing the email password in plesk, it is then possibe to login(even if the new password is identical to the old one)?!?
Is this a known bug? Is there a solution for that?!? I really don't want to email every customor to ask him to change his password?!

Feb 2, 2015In Plesk (V. 12.0.18) there is no possibility to create mail accounts for subdomains via web interface. The KB article [URL] ..... describes this problem. The article suggests two possible ways.
I don´t want to use option 1 (create subdomain as additional domain) because a subdomain as domain wastes a domain in the license model.
Instead of that I tried the second way (command line interface). I can execute the first command without problems. When I try to execute the second command, I get the following error: "An error occured during mailname creation: Unable to set password: Domain of type subdomain selected".

Feb 4, 2015My Plesk Panel stopped to send notifications a while ago, I don't receive mails when the backup are done, the clients can't receive their passwords if they need to reset...
The mails are not being forwarded when they configure it in the panel (I receive a mail in mail1@mydomain.com and I want it forwarded automatically to mail2@gmail.com or wherever).
I don't see nothing about the plesk panel mail in the postfix log and I don't know what else to check.

Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Roundcube Unable To Send Email After Upgrade
Jun 5, 2014Whenever trying to send an email using roundcube it just seems to fail... No error code is given - see attached image:
I've tried following the article here: [URL] ....
But it didn't seem to work and incidentally the main.inc.php file didn't even exist only a main.inc.php.rpmnew was there. I tried copying it to main.inc.php but it made no difference. Normal SMTP usage via thunderbird works, and everything works when trying to use horde.... it's just a problem with roundcube after the upgrade from 11.5 to 12.

May 22, 2015Every out bound email message fails and stays in the queue. The mail log shows this error.
qmail: 1432283802.380653 delivery 27: deferral: Unable_to_read_control_files._(#4.3.0)/
A second problem, also qmail is that I can't send to the server using TLS on the submission port, only if I do plain text. But the first problem is bigger because we can't send at all.
This is a new plesk installation and it has never worked.

Jun 25, 2015I am having trouble with setting up an email account to set up the email I go to Mail > Create Email Address > and enter email address (info@example.com) and check the "access to control panel" and create a password and also check "mailbox" .
But in the email client, when I go to use SMTP and I enter the following info:
- SMTP Server: example.com
- username: info@example.com
- password: password I created above
- port 25
- user TLS
I get this error: Your other email provider is responding too slowly. Please try again later, or contact the administrator of your other domain for further information.

Feb 23, 2015I just got a vps server with plesk 12 on it. I've added domains and so far so good. But I can't figure out how to install the email accounts.
I've made de email accounts and when adding these accounts to my mail program I wanted to use mail.domain.com or imap.domain.com But it doesn't work? And I need to use the smtp host of the internetprovider?
How can I use imap.domain.com and smtp.domain.com to get and send my emails?
Also Is there any way how to check if my server is installed ok and there are no security issues? Because I'm a noob I don't know what the best settings are?

Jun 7, 2014I'm Unable to Login to Control Panel, this issue started few days back, in that time i'm using Plask v11.5, When i try to log in browser try to log in and few minutes after it showing Error 500, Application error, I try to run reconfigurator.exe to verify & fix the Plesk installation, everything updated fine but issues still exist today i decided to upgrade to v12 and i upgrade to V12, everything installed fine and but still login issues there.
This time whey i try to login, i'm not getting any error message, but after some time i got mail from the server "alarm level changed. Server health parameter "Services > Plesk CPU usage" changed its status from "green" to "red"."

May 19, 2008Does anyone know any tools or scripts that you can run to do email round trip monitoring (eg, sending and ensuring it’s received within x minutes)?
Not looking for a solution that is hosted (eg, websitepulse.com) but for something that can be run off a machine locally.

Jun 17, 2013Over the weekend, I upgraded from Plesk 10.3 to Plesk 11.5, using the updater in the control panel. Everything seemed to go well. However, this morning I've noticed that some, not all, email accounts are having trouble logging into the server to send and receive mail. Other accounts are working fine.Via POP, I get this error: -ERR Temporary problem, please try again later
Via SMTP, I get this error:
535 auth failure
I see this in the maillog:
Jun 17 07:15:05 [server] courier-pop3d: LOGIN FAILED, user=[username], ip=[::ffff:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Jun 17 07:15:05 [server] courier-pop3d: authentication error: Input/output error
And this... Jun 17 07:24:50 [server] smtp_auth: FAILED: [email address] - password incorrect from [host] [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
I replaced the server name, username, host, and IP in the above.
Here are the steps I've tried so far.
- Changing the password using the control panel.
- Updating the number of daemons in authdaemonrc
- Restarting the services

Jun 27, 2014I just upgraded my Plesk on Ubuntu (vServer) yesterday. But after the upgrade I couldn't login to the Panel anymore because all I get when I try to reach the panel (https://panel.examplesite.com:8443) is a white screen.
I rebooted the server and restarted the panel as well as Apache several times with no change.

Jun 8, 2015It seems like I have got a lot of trouble with Plesk 12 on a CentOS 7 machine.
1. I could not install Plesk properly due to some drweb problem.
2. Than the smb configuration seems only to be implemented partly.
3. Suddenly FTP login is not possible anymore (503 Access denied)
And now even Apache is not running anymore!
