I am running Debian 7.5 and after a recent re-install of plesk and the os I am unable to download any applications. As soon as I run install wordpress or any other application the download bar just sits at zero.

From PPA im not able to download wordpress, i can see the download bar but seems that there's some problem to download the package.... why? Which logs i have to check ?

i am relatively new to Plesk, i ordered a vserver with Plesk a couple of months ago and spend a lot of time setting everything up and developing several new websites. I am used to developping new websites on a hidden adress (sth like domain.com/dev/ instead of the top level) and then switch the document root to point to the hidden directory when all is done. This practice has served me and my clients well for the last 10 years.
Using the Plesk features like built-in applications seemed like a good idea at the time but wanting to switch the new websites live i have now found out that Plesk won't let me do this since..It is impossible to change document root because there are web applications installed on this website.
I had read somewhere on the interweb that the v12 would let me do this so i just spent the better part of today updating to v12 .. but alas no luck, the limitation is still there. Is there a way to remove this limitation ?
We have installed the latest version of Plesk on our server. Our web applications work fine. But we can not send or receive emails. Neither the webmail (login failed) nor pop3 / imap and mail forms on web projects.

I created a backup using the backup manager in plesk panel (~4Gb). When I click the green arrow on the right to download, I get transfered to another page that suggests I should enter a password to protect my backup. No matter if I enter a password or skip this security option, I get back to the backup manager overview, but the download doesn't start. There is no error message. Just nothing happens. I also searched in /opt/psa/admin/logs for an error log, but there is none.
From another thread I read the owner should be psaadm for /var/lib/psa as well as /var/lib/psa/dumps (and files/subfolders), on my server the owner is root for all those. But that thread was for plesk 8.
I have backup my domain with Backup Manager and it created 47 GB of backup. If I try to download I recive error 504. How can I download this backup?

The previous update of magicspam with version 1.0.6 worked fine. There were no changes to the system except the Plesk updates.
After I've upgraded Plesk 1.0.18 to latest version, I'm unable to set protection on directories. Plesk say it is set, but it is not. I can access protected directory without pop-up of login-details. Old protected directories work, but for new one added not working anymore. I also tried by conventional way adding .htaccess and .htpasswd files to the directory, but it does not apply either.

We have installed our plesk servers using parallels plesk mage from AWS market place. We are unable to change the system time from default NOVT.
$ date
Mon Nov 10 13:28:25 NOVT 2014
When we tried changing time to EST from plesk tools / by linking /etc/localtime to /usr/share/zoneinfo/EST
We can see the logs are updated with the EST timings but 'date" command still shows the NOVT.
Due to this installed fail2ban is not working properly due the difference in the system time with logs time.
I setup and enable fail2ban by Plesk 12 (tools and settings). What happens is, few days after i am unable to access this option again. I got time out
I've tried to disable by ssh "fail2ban-client stop" and nothing... the command become loading and never conclude,
how to remove or stop fail2ban ?
I am trying to move a particular domain to a different subscriber but am getting an error. I haven't had any problems with this function before.

My server is saturated in SPAM e-mails being sent from it, however I am struggling in tracing the root of this problem. I have now exhausted 4 IP addresses and our provider is blocking port 25 automatically on a number of occasions now.
I have used the KB article: [URL] .... to trace the highest senders of e-mail, however this has proved to be unsuccessful in finding "all" of the offending domains.
I have suspended e-mail and domains on a number of subscriptions due to the high number of e-mails being sent from the system. I have also enabled outbound mail control and set limits to 10/hr however there are domains attempting to exceed this on an hourly basis. I have investigated these subscriptions but am not able to find anything offending. Is there any feature within plesk that can show me exactly where the spam is coming from...
When i go to tools & setings -> notifications, i have this message:

I installed plesk 12.0.18 on some servers all is running ok but in one server after update the new feature to limit outgoing mail is missing. I installed ModSecurity Web Application and is missing too.Panel is not on Power User mode
View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried to install Joomla on my server from applications ( Not manualy ) . I go at applications on plesk's panel then i click on Joomla and the click to install it. After that , it shows that it's downloadiing ( Downloading Joomla... ) and it isn't doing anything else. It remained stuck at 0% like forever. I waited more than 2 hours once, and it didn't do anything. It was just stuck at zero. Other applications are working.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn PPA is there a way to restrict what applications from the application catalog can be used for each server? Right now I have a hosting node that can install anything from the application catalog, but I can't find anywhere in PPA to specify what is available and what isn't. If I go to APS Applications and My Apps, Add App, and select "Select an app from Application Catalog", firstly no matter which browser I use, the OK/Cancel buttons disappear. I have to open the frame in its own tab to be able to use this properly. But even if I select an app and choose not to make it available, it can still be added from the customer's hosting panel. In Plesk 11 I can choose which applications are available to the customers. I can't find how to do the same thing in PPA.

By accessing the domain panel and try to install Wordpress on the applications tab, I encounter the error below:

<username> once was a user existing on the server. But I removed the user some days ago.
Since this morning I cannot reconfigure my web server. This always stops with the error message from above.
Unfortunately there is no clue, where the error could be located. The Abstract.php is crypted, so I am not able to check the where the problem is...
A customer wanted me to install the Google Apps MX records. However, it seems that they are not being created in Route53, at all.
Also if I delete the existing MX reccord the change does not reflect to Route53. Try to replicate?
Fact is that you've put this module in the catalog and would get in touch with you guys to tweak it to perfection as I think it can be a real USP for small hosters like me as this utilises the power of Amazons giant network yet you only have one server to take care of for all your regular hosting.
I have just installed a new Cloudlinux 6.6 Plesk 12 box but am unable to find the additional PHP versions as shown in the attached image.
I'm on update #55.
I'd prefer to use Plesk's built-in PHP versions instead of the Cloudlinux ones.
