When creating a domain alias in Plesk, I can activate Web, Mail and DNS. When I activate "Mail" I would think that I now can create a mail address with that domain (myaddress @ domainalias.com). But I can't. If I create a new one I only can choose between the "real" domains. Is this a bug or a feature?

I've got a situation in which I need to have a set of mail accounts that share a domain name with a domain that's already in use as a domain alias and because the domain is already in use, I'm unable to create a new account using that domain. I tried explicitly adding "www" to the domain alias so I could keep the www.domain.com address as an alias and reserve the "domain.com" name for use as a separate account, but Plesk won't allow for that.
How to address this? The idea I'm currently considering is to delete the domain alias and then create the new account and manually set the DOCUMENT ROOT of the new account to refer to the other domain's document root. I'm sure this could create some difficulty in Plesk so I'm looking for input before trying it. I'm actually not even sure exactly where I would be able to redefine the document root with Plesk allowing the change and not overwriting it later.
If all else fails, I can setup a new account on a different and unrelated Plesk server, but I'd prefer not to do that.

Where do you add a Domain Alias? The webspace has no option to add this and all documentation I've found so far seems to indicate there should be a button that says add domain or add domain alias.
I want to setup a domain alias without www in front of it. A quite simple task in the past...but not with Plesk 12. So I have a service domain (for example: service.com) that I use for ALL clients. But each client has only a subdomain of it as alias in his account. so client1.service.com, client2.service.com....and so on. And only that subdomain...nothing more...for each account. How to achieve that in Plesk 12?

If I get it to show "All" entries per page, change it to "Active List", and get back to "Classic List", they show up correctly.
Nevertheless, I have to do it every single time I log in to the panel.
Pagination also doesn't seem to work in 10, 25 and 100 entries if I don't do that.
That started happening after some update on version 12.
When trying to access the settings for mail on a domain I get the following error:
Error: Unable to find service node for ip address with id=6
I understand this is a problem with the database but I am not sure where to look to fix it.
I only have 4 IP addresses on the system.
I think the wrong text is displayed for the option "Remove Domain Alias".
In Plesk 11.5.30 Update #13, in a Webspace, on the Websites & Domains tab, if I click an alias, a window appears for the alias with the option to "Remove Domain Alias". If I move the cursor over the text "Remove Domain Alias", or click on the link, I see a pop-up: Removing this website will also delete all related files, directories, and web applications from the server.
I think this is incorrect because removing an alias should not remove any files, directories, and web applications.

I have to install several SSL certificates and the provider indicates me I must use different IP address in each domain, but I don't know how to do that.
I have several IPs
But all the domains are associated with the first IP, and I can't disassociate one domain and associate it to other IP.
Only when I go to settings for the hosting, I can change the IP, but it's the IP of the hosting, not the IP for one domain.

Nameservers and mail server are external servers and fully working.I have a 'fake' web site (roundcube. local) in which I've successfully installed roundcube and I would use it as webmail.I've added a domain alias 'webmail2.domain.com' and it works like a charm.Now I've moved the main domain "domain.com" on the plesk server and I would like to add a 'webmail.domain.com' domain alias to the 'roundcube.local' website.If I try to do it, I receive this error:

All work , but in Domain Alias, cannot create any registry TXT wih symbols like '_'

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe are looking for a solution to support multible IP's for different domains in one subscription/cusomer Account. Current, we have 4 IP's as shared. the Customer can choose under "Web Hosting Access" , which IP he wants to use.
This setting effect all domains in his Account. So it is not possible to set domain1.tld to e.g. IP 1.1.1.1 and domain2.tld e.g. to 2.2.2.2
We like to offer the cusomers one cusomer account with multible IP's
I'm trying to use spamfilter to block mail from specific address, adding this e-mail to spamfilter in mail account settings, but it doesn't work. In logs I see:

Config hosting to domain / Preferred domain / domain.tld
Problem: I've created a primary domain.tld and work without problems I type www.domain.tld and work fine redirect to domain.tld format but I've created different alias and only work www.domain.tld format don't work domain.tld format.

"Main-domain" domain with 2 "alias-domains" (301-forward). For "Main-domain" I created a wildcard subdomain. All works fine.
ToDo:
I want to create wildcard domains for both "alias-domains".
Problem:
It is not possible to create wildcard subdomains for both "alias-domains".
1. How to create wildcard-subdomains on "alias-domains"?
2. How do I disable Plesk to respond to every domain, which isnt covered by a wildcard?
I have recently migrated from one server with Plesk 11 to another server with Plesk 12 and cant get the alias emails work properly like they worked before the migration. I can send emails from any alias@alias.domain (via Outlook), but cant receive them.I can receive emails only from the mailbox email of the main domain, but not for the alias-email of that mailbox for an alias domain that worked well for Plesk 11. Where might be the problem?
I have created a webmail.domain.tld in the Webmail-Services (where it says Horde 6.2.1 is installed), but the webmail.maindomain.tld is not working. I get displayed only the "webservers default page". We're running Plesk 11.5 on a CentOS 6.5 VPS and we would like to resolve the following problem:
We've configured a physical subdomain, lets say sub1.mydomain.com, and set up a couple of aliases for that domain in Plesk under:
Web Server Settings for sub1.mydomain.com > Additional Apache directives > "Additional directives for HTTP"

This config is working fine until we try to load resources from the alias over ssl, I believe something is missing in the Nginx config. I'm not getting any info using the logs.

I have installed a SSL certificate on mail server "mail.company.tld" and is running successfully with smtp/pop3/imap4 daemon. Every user agent uses "mail.company.tld" for smtp/pop3/imap4. The qmail name is "mail.company.tld" (file me). The server has about 300 domains and 1000 accounts.
Now we want to add a new SSL certificate, called "mail.newcompany.tld", and use it only for certain domains. I would like to know if is possible to use the new SSL "mail.newcompany.tld" for a specific mail domain without using the old SSL "mail.company.tld" that isn't expired yet. From Plesk Panel I haven't found a section for using the SSL for a specific mail domain.
I am offering an email service through Plesk that archives all mail on a per-domain basis. I am having a hard time finding any real solutions to this. So far, I've found:

We have a CentOS6.5 with 11.5 PLESK. There is a domain named domain.com and there is an alias domain on it that named alias.com and all check boxes of it (Mail,Web,Application and ...) are selected. When we send an email from GMAIL to info@domain.com, we receive it successfully, but when we send that email to info@alias.com, it doesn't receive.

We only have a SSL certificate for one domain and want our customers to use this domain in their mail client settings, so that the client trusts the domain.
I am running plesk 9.2. I need to move one domain from the shared IP to dedicated IP. How do I do that? My server vendor has already allocated the IP addresses to me and I can see the unused IPs in the Ip address pool. How can I change the ip of suppose; mydomain.com from 1.2.3.4(shared) to 4.5.6.7(dedicated)?

And my subscriptions had 2 domains : matbaocare.com (main domain) & matbaocare.net (second domain).
When I create E-mail Address , by default I can choose several domain on my account with @matbaocare.com or @matbaocare.net.
But I don't want to create E-mail with second domain, just main domain can use email !

Since upgrading to 12.0.18 Update #5 i have picked up a strange problem when creating a new email account.
When I try setup and new email account on any domain, I get teh following error message.
Code:
Error: mailmng-outgoing failed: ERROR:outgoing:mails.domain_id may not be NULL
If i click OK, I get the following error message
The specified email address is already in use.
I have to click cancel to return to the email address list, which shows the new email address with NO mailbox.
I then have to open the email address and check the Mailbox option to activate it.
Now the email account is configured correctly.
On my plesk server, i have several emails account. These email addresses should receive only emails send by a specific server. But for now, they can receive any email, including spam.
So, i would like to block all emails that are not coming from the allowed server.
How can i do this in plesk ? As i am not a very good server admin, can you tell me exactly what i need to do in plesk?
I've looked a good amount of time trying to change/find where its stored. I've looked in var/qmail and there is no alias folder..We're running postfix/dovecot ....

I want to keep this IP address on network interface, but not let plesk panel use this address in all config files (nginx. apache, ssl etc.)
I want to use standard ports (443 and 80) on this IP address with some custom program not related to plesk panel and web servers. But now Plesk binds all available IP addresses to it services by default.
