Plesk 11.x / Windows :: Limit Notification Emails To Specific Administrator
May 21, 2014
The 'Additional Administrator Accounts' feature enables a Plesk login to be created for each administrator, so they don't have to share a login, which is good practice.
However, Plesk sends notification emails (e.g. Notification of problem domains) to all the administrators. How can we control who is sent notification emails? In our case, we only want them to go the main admin account.
In the 'Additional Administrator Accounts' form, the 'email' field requires a value. We could set this to a dummy value, but this would probably generate non-delivery emails.
I have a trial key, running Plesk 12 on Windows 2012 R2.I have disabled the notification emails in Plesk (or at least I thought I had), but keep getting an email about a running task called "push_worker.php". I get this so often, it's filling up my inbox. Is there a hidden box somewhere that I've missed to disable these emails?
Basically what I want to do is to change the "From: "email address for system user "Plesk Administrator" when sending the automated notification with subject "Parallels Panel Scheduler notification". Where would I do this?
A domain on my Plesk does not receive incoming emails from a specific external domain. Other domains on the same server are receiving correctly emails from the same external domain. DNS are configurated by the same way (external of Plesk). Can't see a bounce anywhere. External sender does not receive a bounce too...
So: - I've deleted the domain in Plesk and re-created it (just in case...). - I've added the external sender in spam whitelist (I've tried in user conf and in server wide conf) - When I send mail to a different address in the same server, I can see the mail in syslog and maillog (send or bounced) - When I send from this external f***** domain to my domain, I can't see anything in syslog and maillog
My Plesk backup doesn't work properly. I constantly get the error "dump file has wrong format".I followed the steps in "How to verify an invalid Plesk backup file" [URL] .... and found the following:
No matter what I do (updating settings, saving, etc.), the error keeps coming back. Seems like a database inconsistency. How can I access the Plesk DB through PhpMyAdmin to check the notifications table? When I go to Settings > Database servers > Local MySQL server > Webadmin, I only see my customers' databases.
I have a plesk 12 panel with outgoing email limit configured to 10 messages by hour.
I have a redirect account (An account named for example A, without mailbox, doing forward to another two internal accounts B and C). I doesn't know if these account are in use for outgoing email, but i think no.
The problem, are, these account are triggering the outgoing limit everyday on some hours. What's going on? Maybe the forwarding action are counting outgoing emails?
I need some method to check account when they trigger the limit to view who messages are trying to send (At least, headers, because i doesn't understand who messages are triggering limit). Also, if the problem are the forwarding, i need a method to not count these messages as outgoing ones, because i understand, if forwarding are triggered by an automated action / internal redirect / received message, these message doesn't are a outgoing one.
Now what I want to do is restore 11 files from the backup. What I certainly don't want to do is restore the entire domain as I don't want to loose any changes since the last backup.
As it seems impossible to extract files from the archives.
I migrate to 12.0.18 Actualización #28, última actualización Dic 11, 2014 02:12 PM.
When I try to Access to the domains in a specific client I´m geting this error:
Internal error: D:Plesk wes.escarmerieradomenech.com is out of webspace MessageD:Plesk wes.escarmerieradomenech.com is out of webspace File Webspace.php Line401 TypePleskFatalException
How can I limit outgoing mail hourly or daily (per mail account) on Plesk 11 Windows? I know I can do that with MailEnable Enterprise version, but I want to know if there any other way to do that.
When a reseller create a service plan themselves...is there any way to limit the CPU and memory setting for the application pool to recycle on their own created plan?
I had do a backup with the plesk 11.5, the backup includes sites, configuration and emails. The restore of the backup don't create all the emails and email folders. There was a way to read or convert the .msg files that exists inside the backup files? A way to convert that msg files to pst or other format that can read by an email client.
The Plesk Health monitor is sending alerts to the wrong email by default. How can it be changed?hanged" notifications by "Health Monitor" are triggered by the default address that has been setup in My Profile > Profile & Preferences or is there a different way of changing this setting.
I set this up for someone, and temporarily changed the email for the administrative account to my address.
I have since changed this back to the original email, but Plesk keeps sending the administrative emails to my account.
I've pretty much grepped through the entire server for my email in order to stop it sending me emails, but I can't for the life of me find out why it keeps sending these emails to me.
How do I make Plesk send these emails to the right email-account?
when somebody send email to hisname@hisdomain.com I'm getting that email in my mailbox (administrator email in Plesk settings). There is no CC or BCC in email recipient.I've tried to turn off the auto-reply and I'm not getting any emails.

PROBLEM: With reports configured to send out to an email address local on the Windows server configured through PLESK, if local relay isn't enabled at 127.0.0.1 on the SmarterMail server, the reports are never delivered.
- server is [domainx].com - email to receive reports from PLESK is plesk444@[domainx].com -this email address is able to send and receive internally or externally to and from any client w/ SMTP auth enabled.
If SmarterMail is configured with SMTP Authentication Bypass for 127.0.0.1, we get the scheduled report emails as we should. Without the SMTP Authentication Bypass enabled, none of the clients or administrators get any reports or notifications at all.
QUESTION: How can I configure PLESK Panel 11 itself to use that SMTP Authentication to send those reports out? --is there a configuration file or registry value I can add or modify?
My server currently has 500 set for this parameter. However, I have some scripts that send out reminders and the number of emails will certainly exceed this limit. So this leads to some questions...
What will happen if my scripts try to send out more than the limit?
What happens when the limit is exceeded? Do the scripts "crash", or do they just keep running? Do the "over quota" emails just get discarded or do they get queued?
How does this affect performance? Or maybe it doesn't?
Does the email queue get clogged up if it has too many emails?
What could be bad about increasing the limit - say to 2000? Would this create performance problems for my server?
I have a couple sites that I'm hosting and I would prefer to keep the limit of 500.
However, how can I increase the limit for my own scripts (domains)?
Or, perhaps this option has nothing to do with performance and it's strictly in place as a security measure to prevent hosted accounts from spamming.
I searched for information concerning this issue and couldn't find anything. The cPanel/WHM forum doesn't say what the parameter is for, just how to set it.
I will wanted to know if hmailserver lets configure the quantity of outgoing emails it is permitted in an hour or minutes. I have found this:
hMailServer is pre-configured to have high security when it comes to relaying and authentication so that no one can use your server to send spam messages.
But I do not know if It refers to what I want or to an antihack or something like that to protect my server.
Seems the standard feature there - number of emails per hour limit is not working in this case of script emailing.
Any way to limit the number of emails sent via .php scripts or/and throttle this emailing speed cause in the case of spamer the server load hit the roof.
