Pop Services Fail During Specific Hours Daily
Oct 19, 2007My POP services keep failed daily between 10am-4pm central time. Rather strange.
However, sometimes some people can't access pop services, while others still can.
I thought it was a SpamAssassin issue as it was overloading a little bit due to corrupt files. Fixed that, and problem persists.

Jul 23, 2015I installed new Plesk in new VPS with Centos 7 (Virtuozzo - former PCS)... One domain is running, but when reboot the server, maillog stopped.

Plesk 12.x / Linux :: After Mod Security Logrotate New Log Is Empty
Jul 6, 2014Plesk 12 on Centos 6.5
I added the following to my /etc/logrotate.conf
/var/log/modsec_audit.log {
missingok
daily
rotate 4
compress
}
I'm not exactly sure if the above is the correct syntax, but the result was that two days later my current modsec_audit.log was Gzipped and a new modsec_audit.log was created.
The problem is that nothing was logged to this new file.
From the Plesk 12 control panel I turned off mod security and then turned it back on again and hey presto, the new logfile started to log events.
This leaves the problem of why nothing was recorded when the file was created.

Sep 28, 2014I have restore my Plesk 12.0.18 Backup after new installed Server from Ubuntu Server 12 to Ubuntu Server 14.
The Backup is from Plesk 12.0.18 under Ubuntu Server 12!
After restore all Mailboxes are available and work they, but all Mailboxes are empty. No contents are restored.
New try to restore Mail Account only have no Result.
I have downloaded my backup file to local Computer and extract.
In file backup_mydomain_mn_1409281400.tgz are all Messages encrypt available. But Not restored.
Why????

Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Empty Domains Page In CP?
Oct 20, 2014When I log into plesk (service provider view) and click on the Domains link on the left, I get an empty page. It isn't blank like there is an error, it has some instructions at the top about creating a customer etc. It just doesn't list any of the domains that are setup on the server. There are several reseller accounts with several domains under each. I've even tried setting up a new customer and adding a domain under the new customer. Still nothing shows up.
I have several other VPS accounts running Plesk 12 with several domains under different customer accounts and the domains all show up on those.

Jun 20, 2014Since upgrading to 12.0.18 Update #5 i have picked up a strange problem when creating a new email account.
When I try setup and new email account on any domain, I get teh following error message.

Error: mailmng-outgoing failed: ERROR:outgoing:mails.domain_id may not be NULL
If i click OK, I get the following error message
The specified email address is already in use.
I have to click cancel to return to the email address list, which shows the new email address with NO mailbox.
I then have to open the email address and check the Mailbox option to activate it.
Now the email account is configured correctly.

Oct 28, 2014I have an individual that has moved there "sent box" to the deleted items and yes, has deleted them.
I have not used the restoration feature of plesk so i have a couple of questions before proceeding.
1. Can I restore a specific mail box folder "sent items"
2. If so will it overwrite all the items and only restore whats on the backup, because he has only just noticed and he has about 500 emails from the point he deleted it? or will it merge the items - e.g the 500 he has now + all the others from the back up.
3. If i cant restore a specific folder, does it overwrite all of the current mail from the backup.

Apr 3, 2015Today in a plesk 12 with mail control (20 mails per hour per mailbox) a spammer stole a password of a mailbox and send nearly 1000 mails in two hours.
How can it is possible? Also in the stats I see 0 mails sent. In the logs (var/log/mail.log) I see the spam wast sent from a mailbox...

i imported ~15 email account during a cPanel migration/transfer done with the manager. mails are there but mailboxes, that had an unlimited quota, are now set to 350MB.
i tried a bunch of stuff, from searching the whole webinterface, changing db entries up to postfix main.cf.
i'm just restoring yesterdays backup. i already lost hours, and now am loosing nerves ..
where can I find this setting, or how can i set it in the DB (chancing max_box and mbox_size did not work, changes in the mail table were reflected on the UI, but not for postifx ..) ?

Jul 1, 2015On the page /smb/email-addresses/list (for each domain) there is a list of email addresses with a usage bar graph on each line.
Last week, all mail was deleted from some of the accounts, but the bar grpah has not updated.
One of the mailboxes shows 495mb, but du on the qmail directory shows it has only 9.
How can I get the Usage column to report correct data?

May 21, 2014I have a script which checks the mailboxes of all clients to notify them when they're reaching capacity.
This does so by checking the psa database for their set limit and matching that to the maildirsize file within the user's Maildir directory.
After upgrading, though, my SQL query no longer works - it was:

Has this changed in 11.5? Is there an alternative way to quickly get all limits for domains?

We Migrate this Server from a Dedicated to an OpenVZ Server - on another Server with OpenVZ its running without Problems, but this one we don't migrate.

Dec 11, 2014I'm just wondering how I can start logging activity in Fail2Ban. I've got the following line in the "logs" tab in "IP Address Banning" in the Plesk UI:
/var/log/fail2ban.log
However when I check this it states "The file is empty".
I'm assuming there will be a setting somewhere that tells fail2ban to log to that file but I'm not sure where/what it is?
I know for sure that I've had IP's banned but they just don't appear to be logged.

Sep 18, 2014we have a Problem with one of our customers there hosted by Plesk 11.5.30 Update #47.
If a mail was sent to the mail address from our customer, postfix log the following entry:

But the quota is not exceeded. The quota is 3GB and the assignment is perhaps 20 percent.
We have configured, that we became a mail if the quota from our customer is oversized. But we also become no mail that the quota is oversized.

Feb 20, 2015I am having a Plesk server and when I scanned it with tools like OpenVas, It detected the following vulnerabilities with CVE acronym. As the corresponding ports and services are being controlled by Plesk, I require to patch it.URL....As you can see this vulnerability has been hit on port 106. I checked the Plesk server and found the port 106 being used by service "poppassd". This was nothing I installed and came along with the Plesk installation. Hence just wanted to make sure whether it has a patch from Parallels. As per my investigation this service is used for changing mailbox passwords and I am currently using Roundcube client. How to patch this vulnerability.
As per the solution in pic, the vulnerability "SMTP antivirus scanner DoS" can be resolved by upgrading or installing anti virus for Plesk mail server. I am ready to buy Dr.Web or Kaspersky from Parallels. But wanted to make sure whether any of the above antivirus can resolve the vulnerability.

Today I encountered a estrange thing, a disabled mailbox was accepting mail but not bouncing it.
In the panel the "user@tld.com" mailbox is disabled, if a email is sent to that address Qmail accepts it:

Dec 11, 2014In plesk9 my customers had the option to send daily usage reports by e-mail. Only certain clients like this option. Using plesk11 I cannot find this option if I log in as a client. Has this feature been removed? And if so, can the administrator enable this option only for 1 or 2 clients?
