I've setup Bind 9.10.1 on a windows server as a slave DNS server. I've installed the Slave DNS Manager on Plesk 12 for Linux and setup configuration.
New zones are added ok so authentication en communication is working perfectly. But when I delete a zone in Plesk, the zoneconfig file doesn't get deleted on the windows server. I can see the windows eventlog saying "received control channel command 'delzone <domain>'" where <domain> is the zone I deleted. But after that noting. And I see errors after a while because of bind trying to transfer the deleted zone again. The zonefile isn't deleted from c: amedzones...
There is a bug when trying to delete E-mail accounts in Plesk 12.1.26. It only works if I create a fake Auto-Reply text. If not, I got this error:

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm planning on hosting some websites for customers. I am using Plesk 12. So far so good.
Now here's the problem. For some reason my host by default doesn't offer subdomains (unless I buy a more expensive package). Will this cause any problems? For example webmail.mydomain.com won't work because it uses a subdomain.
Will there be another way for customers to access their webmail?
After I post my desired subdomain as mysubdomain.domain.com on /mysubdomain.domain.com/
I get "Error: phpinimng failed: Usage: phpinimng [options] [php_ini_file] phpinimng: error: no such option: --global-config" on main window.
Tried to search how to fix this error, i managed to find that there is also " missing or incorrect /usr/local/sb/include/init.php ". As for this error this doesn't work [URL] .... It's already correct permission 755.
The subdomain appears only in DNS records on my domain. But not in the main plesk panel window.

I install and use a site with wordpress in multisite mode using subdomain > its ok to make it work,
I create vhost.conf in /var/www/vhosts/system/mydomain.com/conf/vhost.conf
And add A key *.mydomain.com in DNS
I try to go to webmail.mydomain.com and it always redirect to my domain.com, I create a subdomain manually and subdomain don't work WHY ?

I trying to setup php5.4 on a Plesk 11.0.9 server using this guide:

It works without problems but I can't get it to work on a subdomain.
As far as I know, the only difference should be the path in the vhost.conf. I changed that to match the path to the subdomain, restarted apache but it still won't start php5.4
I've got a customer that has a website at hisdomain.com . He created a subdomain called dev.hisdomain.com for the new version of his website. Now he wants to take it live. Had he created dev.hisdomain.com as a subscription instead of a subdomain, it would have been easy to "rename" the old site to old.hisdomain.com and then rename the new site to the current name.
Am I going to have to move all the files around at the command line or is there an easier way to switch around the sites? The server in use is CentOS 6.6

I need to access plesk 11.0 over a subdomain at port 80 rather than port 8443 as my office firewall blocks the port 8443.
I tried KB article [URL] .... but its not working.
E.g.: I would like to access plesk panel @ portal.example.com rather than @ example.com/8443or8880

Can't add new subscriptions or domains/ subdomain after upgrade. Upgraded to 12.0.18 today and can no longer add domains or subdomains. When I try create a new subscription I get the following error:

Normally this works but if I set the hosting type of the master domain to forward, I cannot add subdomains anymore. If I have already added a subdomain, I cannot change the hosting type of the master domain. Also it is not possible to add a second domain to the subscription anymore.

how do you set the hosting type for the subdomain?! I don't see this in the docs.
I cannot seem to find a conclusive answer to this. I use subdomains to create client websites then once they are in their own domains the subdomains still remain. Can I delete only the subdomain and leave all the files or at least leave the database since it is still connected to the new domain. Example below.
subdomain.example.com uses database1
newsite.com still uses database1
Is there a way to copy the database into the new domain?
I have a new Plesk 12 installation. I have configured a domain (example.com) with hosting that also requires wildcard subdomains.
To achieve this I had to create a vhost.conf file with...
ServerAlias *.example.com
This works and I can go to http://anything.example.com with no issue.
I purchased a wildcard SSL certificate for *.example.com and successfully installed it.
If I go to https://example.com it works perfectly and shows the correct certificate, however if I go to https://anything.example.com it tells me the connection is untrusted, when I view the certificate, it shows the Parallels Plesk self certified certificate and not my purchased certificate.
I created a vhost_ssl.conf with
ServerAlias *.example.com
ServerAlias *.example.com:443 #tried with and without this line
If I add an exception in the browser, then I am taken to the correct place, albeit with the incorrect certificate.
Of course I have executed httpdmng --reconfigure-domain example.com and also tried a full reboot.
In summary:
http://example.com - works
http://anything.example.com - works
https://example.com works with my certificate
https://anything.example.com has Parallels certificate but routes to correct page
When accessing plesk by FTP or the panel, in the root of my domain folder I have the directory
/logs/subdomain.domain.ltd/
But only a subdomain appears, how can I do it to contain logs from another subdomain too?
In Plesk (V. 12.0.18) there is no possibility to create mail accounts for subdomains via web interface. The KB article [URL] ..... describes this problem. The article suggests two possible ways.
I don´t want to use option 1 (create subdomain as additional domain) because a subdomain as domain wastes a domain in the license model.
Instead of that I tried the second way (command line interface). I can execute the first command without problems. When I try to execute the second command, I get the following error: "An error occured during mailname creation: Unable to set password: Domain of type subdomain selected".
I am running a CentOS 6.5, 64-bit server with Plesk 12.0.18, and need to install a wildcard SSL for one of the domains/sub domains hosted on this server.
So you have the csr and private key installed (and domain.crt?), you just need to open..

On your desktop and combine the two files into a new intermediate.crt file and upload that as the CA File.

We're running Plesk 11.5 on a CentOS 6.5 VPS and we would like to resolve the following problem:
We've configured a physical subdomain, lets say sub1.mydomain.com, and set up a couple of aliases for that domain in Plesk under:
Web Server Settings for sub1.mydomain.com > Additional Apache directives > "Additional directives for HTTP"
Code:
ServerAlias mysub1.mydomain.com
ServerAlias mysub2.mydomain.com
And
Web Server Settings for sub1.mydomain.com > Additional Apache directives > "Additional directives for HTTPS"
Code:
ServerAlias mysub1.mydomain.com

This config is working fine until we try to load resources from the alias over ssl, I believe something is missing in the Nginx config. I'm not getting any info using the logs.
For example:

Do we need to specify alternative directives for Nginx?
I'm setting up a SAAS service which is built on top of Laravel. To put it simply the service itself knows whether its being called from a sub.example.com or just example.com and serves a correct response accordingly. So going to sub.example.com will use the same index.php file as example.com but the routes and controllers within the application will provide a different response. sub.example.com will show a tenant login page where as example.com will show a new tenant subscription page or something else.
So when someone new subscribes I add a new entry to the database with a subdomain name for them and when a request comes from that subdomain and they are logged in it will show them their information. Easy right.
There is a problem though with setting it up with Plesk. When I add a wildcard subdomain, it will look for /subdomains/sub/ for the files which is a bit problematic since I want it to serve the files from the same place as the domain example.com.
Is there a way to configure that so that regardless of the subdomain it will try and serve the exact same content as my main domain?

i searchd in the psa database but could not find any duplication...
I have all my client hosting accounts set up to do backups daily but only keep two backups.
There is a problem as PPA is not deleting old backups and simply creates more and more backups until the backup server eventually runs out of space.
