I'm planning on hosting some websites for customers. I am using Plesk 12. So far so good.
Now here's the problem. For some reason my host by default doesn't offer subdomains (unless I buy a more expensive package). Will this cause any problems? For example webmail.mydomain.com won't work because it uses a subdomain.
Will there be another way for customers to access their webmail?
My config :

I install and use a site with wordpress in multisite mode using subdomain > its ok to make it work,
I create vhost.conf in /var/www/vhosts/system/mydomain.com/conf/vhost.conf
And add A key *.mydomain.com in DNS
I try to go to webmail.mydomain.com and it always redirect to my domain.com, I create a subdomain manually and subdomain don't work WHY ?
Question : What must I do to allow manual subdomain and webmail under Plesk v12.0.18_build1200140606.15
change the webmail from Plesk over

thats working without a problem if i change the Webmail Subdomain from one to another.
But i want to change the webmail from
webmail.domain.tld
to
domain.tld/webmail
The following change in domainWebmail.php does not work:

View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to version 11.0. Since the upgrade, I am not longer able to to create Sub-Domains. I did this all the time with version 10x with NO issues whatsover, but now I get the following error when trying to create a subdomain:
Error: Invalid webmail type
SCREENSHOT OF ERROR IS ATTACHED.
I noticed Plesk uses an unsecured connection for webmail: webmail.mydomain.com
Can this connection be secured or is that not possible?
(Isn't this a security risk?)

I have a server in my house. My IP local is 192.168.1.61 and i have other ip static public. I can view my domain and one subdomain, but i don't view other subdomain and webmail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed PLESK12 (or better: I installed the distributed Debian-Image from my hoster) onto my server. Everything works fine as always - except webmail. I did the following:
- in the general webmail properties, I deactivated Horde. roundcube was active and still is (also tried to activate it again)
- I also activated roundcube as webmailer in the hosting itsel.
- tried to open webmail.mydomain.com --> site not found. I added a mail-adress and tried to use the icon to the webmail --> site not found.
- I restarted the server (maybe deactivation Horde did some stuff there...)... no changes.
PLESK 12 (latest update), running on Debian 7.6 ....
Webmail using, in the "Inbox" I chose all the mail and accidentally pressed the "clear folder" letters deleted or i am can be restored? I need to return the letter....

But my webmail URLs are still using the old certificate. E.g. https://webmail.mydomain.com
How do I update to the new certificate for webmail?
EDIT: creating a certificate for mydomain.com and using it in the Hosting Settings section did not work.
I was following this tutorial to resolve the 500 internal error I get when I visit webmail.example.com and it says:

I have recently migrated from one server with Plesk 11 to another server with Plesk 12 and cant get the alias emails work properly like they worked before the migration. I can send emails from any alias@alias.domain (via Outlook), but cant receive them.I can receive emails only from the mailbox email of the main domain, but not for the alias-email of that mailbox for an alias domain that worked well for Plesk 11. Where might be the problem?
I have created a webmail.domain.tld in the Webmail-Services (where it says Horde 6.2.1 is installed), but the webmail.maindomain.tld is not working. I get displayed only the "webservers default page". I've upgraded from WS2008R2 & IIS to CentOS and Plesk 12.Now, I wanted to change the webmail link for all domains to mail.domain instead of webmail.domain. I get the login screen from round cube which i want.
Then I enter login + password and I get 500 Internal Server Error.
Apache Server at webmail.domaincom Port 80
It worked fine on 11.5

I updated two days ago the Plesk panel from the Panel itself and it was succesfully but at webmail URL which it appeared one error about default.inc something but after I did refresh some times it disappeared now it doesn't show anything. I tried removing and reinstalling roundcube but still doesn't work..

I initially had trouble where everytime i tried to load webmail.domain.tld i would have a DNS error, I've resolved this by correcting the DNS settings on my domain and now i can login to the webmail and recieve emails. Now, whether i use Horde or Roundcube i get this authentication error for my SMTP. I'm very new to this stuff and i'm not sure where my log files are or what the issue could be or even how to fix it.
I have a problem with webmail (horde). Horde Webmail show the wrong time, 2 hours to late. It look like that horde show the UTC time, but not the CEST "Europe/Berlin" of my server. I can change that over "preferences" -> "global preferences" -> "locale and time" and change "Your current time zone" from "Default" to "Europe/Berlin". This will now show the correct time (timezone), but this is not the solution because this will do all webmail users.
How can i change the default timezone in Horde?

I have a problem with my vps Centos + Plesk 11.5, from webmail login not work, I seen this guide:

After I post my desired subdomain as mysubdomain.domain.com on /mysubdomain.domain.com/
I get "Error: phpinimng failed: Usage: phpinimng [options] [php_ini_file] phpinimng: error: no such option: --global-config" on main window.
Tried to search how to fix this error, i managed to find that there is also " missing or incorrect /usr/local/sb/include/init.php ". As for this error this doesn't work [URL] .... It's already correct permission 755.
The subdomain appears only in DNS records on my domain. But not in the main plesk panel window.
OS is Debian 7.6 and Plesk 11.5, mysql runs over sock
Maybe I could create manual configuration over ssh in /var/www/vhost/ dir ..?
I am having the problem that with certain domains when they try to login in to webmail they ares seeing:
Connection to storage server failed.
Under the login windows and they are now allowed access.
I am getting this error after installing the AfterLogic WebMail Pro_7 app on a domain.
I removed the app but AfterLogic still appears in the list of available Webmail options. I am getting the error even after changing all my domains to use Roundcube.
