Helm Windows Server Mail

I currently have a reseller account on a windows server powered by helm. The provider currently has a mail problem which has resulted in several of my emails going walk abouts.
What I want to know is, is it possible to redirect my mail and bypass it from the problem mail server to another email address such as my ISP's?
Can I use the mail forward option in helm, or does mail still go through the mail server?
Can I create a new mx record on the windows server to point mail to the ISP email address or will that still go through the mail server?
Or do I have to create a mx record with my domain registrar?
My domain is with godaddy and it setup with nameservers.

I just found there are vps with Plesk and Virtuozzo. Anybody know vps with helm or dotnetpanel support. i am a newbie and i don't know if the technology is possible.

One of my clients needs a dedicated server. I already know SoftLayer is really good from personal experience, but he needs both a Managed box and a Backup Solution, neither of which SoftLayer offers. I know they offer a 1Gig lockbox, but it's your responsibility to make sure files are transferred daily.
Basically what he needs is the following
- Server 2003
- As fully managed as possible because I am not on hand 24/7
- A control panel to handle everything. Plesk and Helm work. I'd say Plesk since they now seem to own HELM
- A backup solution at the very least once a week, once a day is better
- 24/7 Technical support with a phone number to call (not just ticket) in case of emergency.
Please let me know any suggests of hosts you use that were good. I have used many hosts in my life but only really liked SoftLayer (lacking the 2 features said) and AxisHost (no live number) so really need some feed back on this.

what the best Windows Mail Server is? I've used MailEnable and another (forgot the name, sorry) and had problems with both.
My only requirement is that it php's mail() function can be used with it.

I am using Shopping Script, There is again constant problem of 'Helpdesk notification' not being send to Admin email.
Sometimes Helpdesk notification emails comes, sometimes not.
In order to start getting Helpdesk notification email, i need to restart my server and it starts working.
It means there is nothing wrong with Shopping script, as it starts working as soon as server is restarted.
I am running on Windows 2003 server, with IIS support.

It's not in our compatibility but we can propose a couple of advice to you:
1) You can test the php function mail() which is responsible for this process;
For this you may create a simple script with the following line:
mail($mail_to, $mail_subject, $mail_body, $headers_string)
Of course, you need to past your own real values here. Then you need to launch this script every minute since the server restarted and follow the logs of what is happening there.
2) As we see you are using Microsoft FTP Service. The most probable reason for this is the issue with windows mail function - either the service itself is not reliable or it is just set incorrectly. Our administrator says that the issue with mail sending on this server happens quite often. So you can try to google the problem with the queue of windows mail function, for sure there must be some more advice as to how to resolve this.
It is possible that there is set a restriction on the order of the sending mail so when the queue is full, the mail stops sending.
Anyway that's all that we can advise you on this case because if the notification is sent at all then it means this function is working in our shopping cart and the issue is with something else.

I have been using MailEnable standard (free) edition for a few months and faced problems of such as mail server crashing every few days, users being disconnected while downloading mail via POP3 etc.
I'm serving not more than 20 sites and only a few of them user mail server frequently
a better mail server to use with Plesk on Windows.

i'm running a windows 2003 server to host a number of websites.
unfortunatly it looks like i didn't correctly protect the SMTP mail server
i checked the 'badmail' folder in the inetpub and found there were upwards of 250,000 bounced mails there... some spammers were obviously having a field day with my smtp server...
i've now changed the settings so that realys are only accepted from 127.0.0.1 and anonymous access is now disallowed.
my problem is that when i start up the SMTP server again spam is continuing to be sent out because the Queue folder is apparently full of junk waiting to go out...
i've tried entering this folder but the computer hangs, presumably because there are so many there...
i've tried deleting and renaming the folder but even with the smtp server turned off i get an 'Access Denied' error...
what can i do to flush or empty the queue folder ?

Please pardon the "newbie" nature of this post. (Due to circumstances outside my control, I've had management of a Windows Server 2003 VPS thrust upon me, and I'm feeling like a fish out of water!)
I have finally abandoned any hope of getting phpmailer to work with Joomla 1.0.13, so I've decided to configure the POP3/SMTP features of my server so that I can use Joomla's SMTP mail service. (Joomla's SMTP option is limited to port 25 and cannot use ssl.) Anyway, I've tried to set up my POP3 and SMTP services, but I must be doing something wrong. I have both services set up with my registered domain name -- and a check of the DNS in the SMTP setup comes back OK. However, if I try to use my domain name as my SMTP and POP servers in Outlook Express, the program times out while "looking for host." If I enter "localhost" or my IP address (numeric) as my mail servers, I get a dialog box asking me to log in. However, when I try to log in -- using my administrator name & password -- it doesn't work.
I should probably stress that I'm using SERVER 2003, not an EXCHANGE server for this. I have need for one, whole mailbox to make my stupid contact form work, which is why I'm doing this in the first place. If this doesn't work, I'm going to create my own contact form in html, throw it into a joomla content page, and use the phpmailer script to send it manually. Not ideal, as it will always go to the same mailbox, but I'm getting to the point where I DON'T CARE ANYMORE!

I have it installed with SmarterMail.
However I have a need to recreate a Service Plan that does not add the domain to SmarterMail.
Like on the Hosting Parameters tab there is an Enable hosting tick box, I need the same type of tick box on the Mail tab.

We are planning on offering Windows hosting soon, and are in the process of testing possible control panel options. Has anyone had experience with both of these? Which one did you find "better"?
We don't need a billing system, as we already have one - so the billing system within Helm would not be used.

I have a merak mail server with a lot of domains and users. I have installed a plesk 12.0 on a new windows 2012 r2 server together with a fresh installation of merak . Now I want to import all domains and users from my old merak server to my plesk server, but I can't figure out how to do it. I can import them to the installed merak mail server on the plesk server, but I can't find a way to import them into my plesk.

I have Plesk Panel installed in server 1 and mailenable in server2. I disabled mail service in server 1 and configured external mail (by the way, I cannot start it back) - Tools & Settings -> Mail -> External SMTP Server to my server 2.
Every contact form created with Presence Builder never worked, and I do not know why. Is there any work around? When Plesk is going to handle e-mail forms with a PHP file?

Am using Windows 2003 server with IIS6.0 and SMTP.I tried to send mail using ASP.net C# code through SMTP service.But my mails are getting queued in C:InetpubmailrootQueue.
What could be the problem??I've done many trouble shooting steps but no luck.I changed the Relay settings.Since I am in a LAN connection, i've tested the relay setting using both the 'localhost'and 'MyDomainIP'but everything in vain.

i have a fren who wants to transfer a hosting ..for a site made in php and hosted in helm...windows server...
the site uses mysql datbase but i could see no database in the database setting(of helm)...and says no database created..
in host i could see server.mysql in php database config files
i want to export database...to linux server
i have not used helm much..
where actually is database located and how can it be exported?
