Nov 18, 2008I have a Linux(RHEL5) dedicated server.Tomcat version 5.x is running integrated with Apache and now i want to install tomcat 6.x integrate with apache without effecting older tomcat version. it will run as it is.
How can i do this and if yes then how can i set tomcat home path for both versions.
CATALINA_HOME=<Which path for both> and how to install it.

my friend ordered an vps with a host, he ordered 5.3 - 32bit but some how I feel he has been provided with 5.0 version by the host, I didn't know how to confirm it, when I checked his hypervm, this was the cent os details provided:

there is rebuild option in the hypervm and in tht when I look out,here it shows the following:

what my friend exactly needs is a cent os 5.3 - 32bit system, so if he selects cent os 5.3-ix386 (full) will it install with cent os 5.3 ?? he doesn't want kloxo to b in there auto, he/I can install tht,
Apache :: Compiled Version Does Not Match Loaded Version
Mar 26, 2014I am running Apache on a Windows server and it is up and running.I downloaded and installed:
Apache 2.4.9 Win32 [Apache VC11 Binary] httpd-2.4.9-win32-VC11.zip
And included ModSecurity from download: modules-2.4-win32-VC11.zip..
The version of ModSecurity is mod_security-2.7.7 . It is up and running, but I get a warning:
ModSecurity: Loaded PCRE do not match with compiled!
Here's the difference in the PCRE from the logs:
PCRE compiled version="8.33 "; loaded version="8.34 2013-12-15".
The compiled version does not match the loaded version. Is this something I should be concerned about and try to find compiled versions that match?

I had installed the web server, mysql etc an then made a client account, when trying to add a domain its says that the domain can't be installed?

Jun 11, 2008Tried submitting my ticket since last week and receive no reply. Even their forums are locked. Have to get help from WHT.
When i click on the file manager, it is empty but the files are accessible via FTP and also web. Anybody know what is going on?
Helm Windows Server Mail
Aug 2, 2007I currently have a reseller account on a windows server powered by helm. The provider currently has a mail problem which has resulted in several of my emails going walk abouts.
What I want to know is, is it possible to redirect my mail and bypass it from the problem mail server to another email address such as my ISP's?
Can I use the mail forward option in helm, or does mail still go through the mail server?
Can I create a new mx record on the windows server to point mail to the ISP email address or will that still go through the mail server?
Or do I have to create a mx record with my domain registrar?
My domain is with godaddy and it setup with nameservers.
Exporting Mysql Database From Helm

the site uses mysql datbase but i could see no database in the database setting(of helm)...and says no database created..
in host i could see server.mysql in php database config files
i want to export database...to linux server
i have not used helm much..
where actually is database located and how can it be exported?

Jan 8, 2009One of my clients needs a dedicated server. I already know SoftLayer is really good from personal experience, but he needs both a Managed box and a Backup Solution, neither of which SoftLayer offers. I know they offer a 1Gig lockbox, but it's your responsibility to make sure files are transferred daily.
Basically what he needs is the following
- Server 2003
- As fully managed as possible because I am not on hand 24/7
- A control panel to handle everything. Plesk and Helm work. I'd say Plesk since they now seem to own HELM
- A backup solution at the very least once a week, once a day is better
- 24/7 Technical support with a phone number to call (not just ticket) in case of emergency.
Please let me know any suggests of hosts you use that were good. I have used many hosts in my life but only really liked SoftLayer (lacking the 2 features said) and AxisHost (no live number) so really need some feed back on this.

Tomcat 404
May 10, 2008I'm getting a 404 tomcat error on a domain after applying a servlet and restarting tomcat, httpd.
I even disabled the htaccess file and removed the web.xml file from WEB-INF directory, restarted both services again.

I've some question before doing it, it kindda scares me..
1- I have apache 1.3.
2- I don't want every child process of apache to have an additional 15MB..
3- I don't know a lot about Java... Is it as easy as «port install» it in my FreeBSD?
Basically, I would really like to accomodate that customer but I also doesnt want to mess everything for a single customer.

Dec 3, 2008I would like to install a tomcat application on my domain. Where do I upload the .war file and how can I manage the tomcat and access this application? I have root access to my Cpanel/WHM box. Also, I did apply a servlet already via WHM.
Also, I need to restore my postgres backup file as well but its too big to be done via pgmyadmin. How can I go about doing this via command line?
I'm aware of how to restore a mysql db via command line (1st create db in cpanel, 2nd run command in ssh). Never done so with a postgresql database.

tomcat has failed, please contact the sysadmin (result was "tomcat is not running").
I got that before and after running a forced cpanel upgrade.
I restarted via command line as well.
Its amazing that "tomcat has failed please contact the sysadmin" search yielded no results in wht here.
