Yet another negative review of ipower.... I want to start by saying that this site has been indispensable in helping me come to a decision about changing hosts. The top ten lists I was finding seemed strange and fake, and I'm glad my suspicions about them were confirmed. I love the atmosphere here as well. Everyone is so helpful in their posts.
I've been hosting a personal site with ipower for about 6 years and most of the time it's been fine in terms of pricing and service for what I've needed. About a year ago I started a gaming guild site that is also hosted with them which experienced many unexplained outages. (All I can think is a bandwidth problem, even though it displayed garbled statistics that it was both exceeding and hardly using any.)
They migrated the gaming guild's site to the new platform they're making everyone go to (vDeck 3) with no problems, but it is horrendously slow and tedious to work with. How this could have been considered better is beyond me.
I found my personal site to be down a few days ago and emailed customer service about the problem when it did not clear up after a few hours. I was looking for information on whether it was a problem on my end or theirs and got back this gem - "you need to check the errors with your Web site by your own. If you do not wish to do so you can signup for a new account."
Frustrated with this response, I called up to see what the problem was. Apparently my site is on a server that has now been shut down. They could not migrate it because it is "too complex." The customer service guy could not give me further information beyond that. The only solution is to backup my site, open a new account with them and set the whole thing up again. (The CS guy sounded embarrassed about this.) Also, the data on my webspace will be deleted in seven days. Here's the kicker - I was notified about NONE OF THIS.
I was debating between staying with them and taking the "devil you know" approach (and having to deal with their terrible vdeck 3 platform with mysql/phpmyadmin speeds that make me want to pull my hair out) or switching and possibly running into worse problems down the road. Thanks to these forums, I don't think I'll have to make that kind of a decision now and I learned a lot about web hosting in the process!
After a few hours of research I think I've settled on Hawk Host. I'm really liking what I see when I read about them here, comparing them to other hosts and visiting their support forums. I hope to come back and add a positive review at some point in the future. A very aggravating experience has been completely turned around for me at this point.
I was a customer of hostchum for about 3 or 4 days.
They ran a special for a really nice VPS and I decided to buy it.
1 gig ram
30 gig disk
400 gig bw
ect
When I first logged in, well... I couldn't.
Submitted a support ticket and got that problem fixed within two hours. "Good support!"
I thought... Next day, I logged in again and installed my cPanel, and noticed that I had been given a TRIAL LICENSE! Submitted a support ticket and a day later that had been fixed. And I should also mention that I was PROMISED, that I would have NO DATA LOSS!
Guess what happened! DATA LOSS! I lost everything that I had set up! And I was promised NO DATA LOSS! I submitted a support ticket and the owner was apparently "stunned" that I lost everything. Well it wasn't THAT big of a loss... So I installed all my websites again and fixed all the features that where lost. Then I had an issue installing Fantastico... Well submit a support ticket (it was an average of 2 tickets a day now...) and I was starting to see slower and slower response times...
Instead of the 30 minute response times I was used to... it was now hours before anybody got back to me. OK, thats not the worst support I have seen. They get back to me and tell me that its fixed... it had been about half a day to fix fantastico... but... they didn't. I was able to install it on my vps whm... but it didn't show up on any cPanel account. Submit another support ticket that day, 12 hours later, fixed.
"Fantastic," I thought, "everything now works!"
No.
The next day I get on one of my new websites internetincometeacher.com to mess around with the wordpress settings, getting ready to upload some of the content I had written... and I can't... the website is completely down!
It was JUST WORKING! I was FURIOUS! I submitted a support ticket over 36 hours ago and the problem has not been fixed... it hasn't even been identified! It took a day to get a response, and the response was:
"and what websites are not working?"
I said: "None of them"
Response: "what websites aren't working?"
I said: "None of them"
My response was 8 hours ago... Havn't received word yet.
I should also mention that I have requested a cancellation and a refund about 8 hours ago too and have not received word from them. Which is why I am writing this horrid review.
I suggest to everybody to not use them. And I would also be VERY suspicious of the positive reviews that I have read about them as well. They could just as easily be employees being told to create an account and write positive reviews.
I actually stumbled onto this site in the search for a new hosting option...
My current site dare2go.com is hosted with cirtexhosting for nearly 3 years. During this time I had occasional problems with downtime and slow responses from support, but nothing like now. Since the hosting is cheap and my site a small (non-profit) travelogue I never really bothered too much...
Now I am battling for almost a week a problem with them which should actually be a simple one. I want to install a forum, and after some research decided on SMF from simplemachines. So on Monday I downloaded it, unpacked it and uploaded it via FTP. Upon first tests all actions (like admin changes, registration of new user, etc.) in the new program crashed - 403 error forbidden. For that day I gave up.
Next morning I went back, checking all permissions (Chmod, etc.) with no change of the problem; finally I posted a question about my problem on the simplemachines forum - nobody could help me...
The rest of this day I couldn't do much due to power outages.
Wednesday I went back to check everything but no changes - still every action resulted in a 403 error.
So I decided to try another forum software, MyBB, downloaded this, unpacked and installed it, and already upon log-in had exactly the same 403 error.
So I finally decided to contact the support explaining the problem and pointing to my suspicion that it was some kind of php permission error. Even the header of my support request read "permission problems at 'dare2go.com'" (Years ago I used to earn some money from websites, had my own dedicated server with better access to php features. Back then I had to install other scripts - so I know a little - not much - GRIN. But I don't like to bother support for issues which turn out to be my own stupidity, hence my late cry for help...)
A reply to this enquiry arrived after nearly 90 minutes and didn't reach me until the next morning. Support had decided to alter my .htaccess file resulting in my entire website being down (only a directory listing being displayed) - great So this day I tried first to look into this problem, and then decided to poke a little more through CPanel (where I had looked several times before in an effort to solve my problem - never really used it before) - in Fantastico I discovered an auto-install of exactly the same version of SMF which I had installed on Monday - I decided to run this (into a third directory for a forum), and upon starting this install I soon received exactly the same 403 error.
In the meantime more emails went back and forth between support and me - the time span between them getting longer and longer.
Finally today I received this answer:
Quote:
Sorry for the inconvenience, mod_security found some session attack from your script. Please upgrade your script with latest and then check it, otherwise upgrade your cirtex plan to VPS or Dedicated server. For more information hostv.com
This is not a solution!
Virtual or dedicated hosting are way beyond my means and my needs! After all: the last install from Fantastico is exactly the version they are offering as a free option for my account, and cirtexhosting's front page states in bright orange "We Host Forums".
My last email from around 5 hours ago (cc to sales-at-cirtex.com) remains unanswered. 24/7 support doesn't mean I should have to wait a day for a reply... An ANGRY Juergen
I am traveling and have only limited internet access - hence this issue is even more pressing. Next week I have to move on because my visa in Paraguay is expiring soon - and all time seems to be wasted...
I am just interested if the Global crisis has brought any negative consequences in web hosting business? Does your own hosing company experience any negative impacts?
I've got a problem with an SQL query that is behaving badly. Its probably really obvious, but I can't see the problem!
I have a table with 3 fields:
Code:
money bigint(20) income int(12) userID mediumint(7)
I have a row that has a negative money and a value of 0 for income. When I update the money value to add "0" to it, nothing happens (as expected). When I update the money field to add the income field (which is equal to 0) to it, MySQL flips the sign to make the money field positive.
The following queries show the problem:
Code:
mysql> SELECT money, income from users where userID=327961; +----------------------+--------+ | money | income | +----------------------+--------+ | -9223372036854775807 | 0 | +----------------------+--------+ 1 row in set (0.00 sec)
mysql> SELECT money, income from users where userID=327961; +----------------------+--------+ | money | income | +----------------------+--------+ | -9223372036854775807 | 0 | +----------------------+--------+ 1 row in set (0.00 sec)
mysql> UPDATE `users` SET money = money + income WHERE userID =327961; Query OK, 1 row affected, 1 warning (0.00 sec) Rows matched: 1 Changed: 1 Warnings: 1
mysql> SELECT money, income from users where userID=327961; +---------------------+--------+ | money | income | +---------------------+--------+ | 9223372036854775807 | 0 | +---------------------+--------+ 1 row in set (0.00 sec)
mysql> Notice that there is no negative sign after the third select!!
So, we are saying that executing an update where 0 is specified in the query results in the correct action but if you take the 0 from another field it takes the negative sign away...
This for various reasons is a rather urgent problem. This problem has only appeared after upgrading from MySQL 4.0 to MySQl 5.1. This problem does not occur in MySQL 4.1.
Just wondering if anyone else out there experienced several months of affiliate referrals being flushed out and simply disappearing recently (within the past two months), would be very interested in hearing from others that this may have occurred to.
Site5 appears to have suffered a major DNS hit. DNS.SITE5.com and DNS2.SITE5.COM are both down, they respond to ping but not to any DNS lookups. All my sites/email are down. Even www.site5.com is dead.
I can FTP into my site's IP address and see all the files are there (whew) so hopefully once DNS comes back everything will be OK again.
Thinking about migrating a couple of blogs over from blogger.com to a paid host, since I really want to migrate over to using wordpress. No, I do not want to use wordpress.com.
I've done a little research, and stumbled across site5.com and webhostingbuzz.com. I like them because they both have active user forums, and the basic hosting plans are very affordable, if you pay for a couple of years in advance. Site5.com seems to have gotten mixed reviews recently, since apparently they just merged with ThePlanet, guess that is another hosting company. Webhostingbuzz, interestingly enough, the servers are in the US, but the support is in the Ukraine. They have a really cheap price, potentially $3.95/month.
I've read through lots of online reviews and even this forum for advice. It's a bit overwhelming the amount of options out there. Just want to host a couple of blogs and small websites. And preferably, a cheap price, since I am hosting the sites right now for free on blogger.
Also considered hostgator.com, but they are a bit pricier.
I have finally pulled the plug on Site5. Many of you know that they were in the process of migrating many of their older servers to hosting at ThePlanet. We got a notice on Sept 25 that ours was supposed to happen the week of Sept 29-Oct 3 (didn't happen!) and that ". One of the chat girls let it slip that we were migrated on Oct 10...(we weren't notified of our new IP!). As our old server "xxxxx.site5.com" was up and running, we didn't know of any trouble, and ran happily along with our site, updating databases, maintaining code, etc. Then they flipped the switch today on our old server. We were pretty much messed up for Friday afternoon through the weekend while we waited for them to finish their maintenance. The support guys who came in Monday A.M. tried to help, and explained that (unfortunately) both the new and the old servers had problems. I should say that they DID help. But it was too little too late.
Needless to say, I decided we'd had enough, as this was not our first issue with not getting support when we needed it...we migrated on Friday afternoon. If you are looking for a good provider, search elsewhere, I'll be posting more info about where we went.
Site5 support is inadequate for the following reasons:
-support is only accessible by email or web form submission
-usually takes hours for a real person to respond even when subject includes the word "DOWN"
-customer is not able to escalate an issue, priority is at the whim of the responding technician.
I suggested some improvements to Brendan Diaz, CEO at Site5 after our last major ordeal in January. I think that they need to rethink and overhaul their support structure before they add any more clients to business hosting.
I'm hosting with site5.com now for over 2 years. I'm not so happy with them actually but was still working for me.
last days, I requested them to upgrade my account to PHP 5.x and MySQL 5.x. (still have PHP 4.x and MySQL 4.x with them) allthough PHP 5.x and MySQL 5.x is there for ages now, they told me they can't supply these to me. they gave me some long instructions to be able to use PHP 5.x but pehh...still no option for MySQL 5.x
is this normal ? this is seriously a nightmare for me as new scripts need PHP 5.x and MySQL 5.x
I don't know who the heck is running the show over at SITE5.COM But....
I've tried for a few days now to contact their support Dept and have gotten ZERO response from them.
I'm getting free hosting from a friend, who's got a reseller package from these guys. Servers are nice and fast, BUT, my stats are broken. I don't have a flippin' clue how much bandwidth I'm using.
I've contacted support. My host has, zero, zip, nada response.
anyone else noticed this?
Someone needs to tell Site5 to get their act together.
Have been with Site5 since 2006 and last 2 months the support has significantly degraded. Had 3 outages and 2 out of three times it took them longer than 24 hours to respond.
Earlier this month web access to my sites was locked due to high resource utilization.
Again they didn't respond my proposed solution. My sites were down for two days as the result.
Migrated to a different hosting provider and asked for a refund since I just renewed my 2 year contract with them in July. Was told no refund is possible since I am not a new customer (they have 60 days money back for new sign ups). Will probably be settling this with the help of my credit card company.
Any one had a similar experience? Any tips on how to handle the case when you sign up for a long term and the hosting provider doesn't deliver on the promise?
I first found out about Site5.com exactly 2 1/2 years ago on the WHT Forums. I remember reading all kinds of things about the quality of the host. I don't recall reading too many negative things. The hosting was great for the first year and a half. Support usually replied within the hour. Then I noticed my sites down more often than usual.
Yesterday I sent in a support ticket and I have yet to receive a response. It's now been 17 hours, and not even "we're looking into it". So, I did some research on Site5 on here and other places to find out that Site5.com has went down hill. Once a quality host is now just another ordinary "host". Just a look at their forums you can see how many problems their customers run into.
All I have to say is, if you're in the market for a web server host, I'd stay away. If you're already a customer of Site5 you may want to check the actual downtime your server has from month to month, and when you really need their tech support, they just may not respond..
I have been with Site5 for several years, but will be moving shortly.
Having to wait over a day for support to email you back is getting really old. And then when they do, their response doesn't answer your question. They obviously can't read.
My latest problem is with the version of php they are running. I need 5.2.0 or better for cubecart 4.2. No problem Site5's wiki says about php:
Current Installations Yes, we do have both versions installed and available to every single customer.
last updated: --Tom 12:35, 25 January 2008 (EDT)
Version 4.x: 4.4.7 Version 5.x: 5.2.1
EXCEPT on my server which has 5.1.2 and there are no plans to upgrade any time soon.
So the response I got was that I could install a more current version of php in my own account???? I am not a UNIX guru and seriously doubt I have all the rights I would need to install software on their servers.
Needless to say I am looking for a new hosting company. I have looked at Syn and am waiting for a response from them. I assume their sales staff doesn't work week-ends.
It's been almost 3 weeks, more or less, since I signed up with XenVZ (xenvz.co.uk). Sean does a good job on support whenever I put in a ticket - fast responses, always.
As for network stability, it hasn't disconnected from Quakenet (IRC network) since I've gotten it - signon 17d 20h 40m 25s ago.
As for speed, 19:36:39 (10.80 MB/s) - `100mb.test' saved [104857600/104857600] (from cachefly).
Now I'm about two month with sologigabit.com and want to share some impressions with you.
Sologigabit was extremely helpful to me. I needed server with custom config and they ordered some hardware for me. They take only two month upfront.
While they didn't have hardware required, they set up server for me and made it available, so I could familiarize myself with a system. That helped me a lot when I started to install system later.
They didn't offered FreeBSD as available OS to install but downloaded image for me and put installation media into dvd drive, so I could install it myself. They also were helpful providing information about system while I was installing system, as I encountered some problem with FreeBSD default kernel.
I have dedicated remote APC and KVM, so I could resolve almost all my issues myself. Running for two month with them I didn't encountered any problems, so I probably stay with them for a long time.
I am a current customer of Burst for more than 6 months already and so far I am loving their service. There are very, very minor issues but it gets resolved in a timely manner. I have 7 servers with them and looking forward to expanding more. Their sales support Shawn and Benj are very considerate and their technical support Brian is very helpful, knowledgeable, polite and treats customers the right way.
Burst live chat support (AIM) is also the best I have seen with a host.
I recommend them to everybody who's looking for a reliable network and good support!
Thought I would share my recent experience with VertexHost.
I run a vBulletin forum and I had a VPS for over 2 years through PowerVPS. However, due to irreconcilable differences with them offering my current package at a lower price than what I was paying, then refusing to give it to me at "todays price" unless I canceled my service and transfer my data, I parted with them.
I had a "contacting spree" weekend where I contacted 23 different hosts and talked about what I was looking for (I wanted to move to a dedicated server since I figured with my community growing I might as well select a place that I could grow into)
I needed a managed server with decent specs since VB is a server intense application.
Some of the managed server "top players" I talked to were LiquidWeb, AxisHost, and RackSpace. Others were smaller companies that I had saw posted on the dedicated forum offers section.
AH took far too long to get back to me, quite a few days actually. LW would meet at a price for me (my budget was $150- about $170) at $150; however, gave me a very 'downgraded server' compared to what was being offered other places. Finally RS was just way overprices and couldn't come down to my range. Most companies gave me a round-about answer, seemed flaky, or just weren't interested in really helping me.
I had known about VertexHost because I used to host/use Infopop's Eve forum software and they were also on the forums there because they had used UBBThreads before developing their own forum software. Anyway, long story short, I decided to see what they were up to.
Billy from VH was very quick to answer all of my questions and made my sales ticket critical and a top priority. He not only told me what would need to be done in terms of transferring my forum and files (I was coming from Plesk to CPanel) but offered to do it for me.
I agreed that it would be best to have him do it, and he happily did it, free of charge I might add.
Along with transferring my forums over, he also made it so I lost no time while waiting for my domain to propagate. He set it up so the old IP from PowerVPS would send people to the database on my new server with VH.
It was such a seamless transition... my forums were down for only about 2 hours total. I might also mention those 2 hours were from a little before midnight until about 2 AM; a time when the forums are slow any way.
I don't want to get any more long winded than I already have, so in a nutshell VH not only met me on price, but they also transferred everything for me, made sure I had little down time, and were very knowledgeable about any question I had.
I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend them. I'm a loyal customer who likes to stick with what works and who appreciates my business. I do not foresee my leaving VH any time in the future. I can now sleep peacefully knowing my site is in good hands!
After few days of not getting even "one" spam out of average 70 messages a day...the company manager got angry! He thought the mail system is down.
Our provider - a VDS subscriber who rent us shared plan for a website - said: we changed nothing. I confirmed: did you install any new anti-spam software on the site...they said: NO.
In a next conversation with the company manager, they told him they installed a new anti-spam software on the whole server and cannot make it off for our site specifically.
The problem is, they already had a kind of anti-spam software which only "marks" spam-like messages with "**SPAM**" in the subject line, and doesn't mark others. I am afraid some customers' emails get marked and deleted with this new software they claim implemented, based on false positives.
Many times I get my emails in Yahoo and Hotmail go to Spam/Junk folder for some not-widely known reasons, like sending to myself, while putting recipients in CC, and other strange reasons like just using CC in an auto-reply!
something any non-tech person might do.
I am thinking in switching to a new host where we only host mails (mx record), so we don't have "any" email deleted without our check.
My name is Todd Mitchell, I am Chief Operating Officer at Site5. We rarely send out company wide emails, so you can be sure that a very special announcement is necessitating this type of mass distribution! Today I have some remarkable news to share with you regarding Site5, your web hosting account(s) and a new partnership we've solidified over the last several months. We are proud to announce a new strategic partnership with The Planet (www.theplanet.com), a very well-respected infrastructure provider, which will soon be housing our server fleet and network in their state-of the-art, enterprise-level data center.
As I'm sure you're aware, Site5 is well known in the web hosting industry for a number of reasons:
- Site5 is innovative: Demonstrated in the research and development of Flashback, NetAdmin/SiteAdmin, Backstage and our stable web hosting platform.
- Site5 is transparent: Our weblog [url], forums [url] and corporate web site [url] are prime examples of our transparent nature and operation. We are upfront and honest about everything we do at Site5. Clients are family.
- Site5 has award winning support: Whether you contact our billing, sales or support groups you are guaranteed a high level of customer service. We pride ourselves on our 24 x 7 in-house support group. Site5 does not outsource and that makes a difference.
We are building upon those core competencies by focusing our efforts on improving our server hardware, data center and network via this new business relationship. Throughout our continued growth we have added value to every aspect of our hosting platform without increasing prices to clients, and this announcement is certainly not an exception.
Site5 Internet Solutions, Inc. (one of the largest and fastest growing web hosting providers in North America) and The Planet.com Internet Services, Inc. (the largest dedicated hosting / infrastructure provider in North America) have come together to form a mutually-beneficial partnership. We have selected The Planet to be Site5's sole data center, hardware and network provider after evaluating several other data center providers relative to our current hardware infrastructure. Following months of meetings, several on-site data center/ hardware evaluations, and a significant amount of consideration for our clients, we selected The Planet because they maintain a great support structure, the best hardware quality, and a shared desire to help Site5 provide the best hosting experience in the industry.
How will this affect you?
- Name brand servers: Our entire infrastructure will be migrated to enterprise level Dell servers custom made and tested specifically for Site5.
- Hardware upgrades: Every single server in our existing fleet will be upgraded to new hardware! We are standardizing our fleet on dual core Intel Xeon processors and large redundant and fast RAID arrays.
- Network upgrades: The Planet over the last several years has built out a substantial network. Rated #2 in North America, their network is resilient, reliable and redundant at all points. This network upgrade will ensure that your visitors and clients can access your web site(s) 24 x 7 without interruption and we will be able to guarantee that your pages will load exceptionally fast.
This new partnership is a substantial commitment for The Planet and Site5. Both companies employ exceptional people and this partnership is just a glimpse of great things to come from Site5 over the next 12 months. We are committed to keeping you informed and we will continue to send emails with pertinent information regarding this new partnership. Please keep an eye out for our emails and remember if you think you've missed an email, all notices and information will be reposted on our official forums - [url]. The official press release regarding our new partnership will be released to financial analysts and news wire services on Tuesday April 3rd, 2007.
We hope this news is as exciting for you as it is for us. As we finalize the migration details for each server, we will post forum updates with all of the information you will need about your server's move and how/when your account will be upgraded. Thousands of people have been a part of the Site5 community for years, and we continue to see record growth, so we wanted to be sure that this move would help express our gratitude for your business.
I desperately need someone to trouble shoot and eventually fix a mySQL/PHP program we had a month ago. The problem was costing the company I do work for nearly $1,000 per day in lost money. I received 15 people contacting me off a post I made on WHT, and elected to work with Dingloo from auroinfotech.com. And what a great decision that was!
Dingloo and his associate from the get go showed great communication skills, professionalism, and most importantly... fixed the problem very fast!
I truly appreciated the work he and his associate did, and the speed in which they completed it. Our PHP script is 100% fixed (and its a very complicated PHP script) and is working great.
I love to give positive reviews, as I feel people who do an excellent job need to received praise. Thanks again Dingloo for your hard work, I truly appreciate it! You've made work around here a lot better, and we all thank you in the office!
We will continue to use your PHP/mySQL/Admin services in the very near future. I put this in the Ded. Server Forum as this included Admin work on 5 of my servers, and other Admin Duties beside programming.
I used Web Hosting Talk to help me choose a shared web server and the choice I made was Hawk Host.
I just want to say I have had nothing but positive experiences with Hawk Host in the two months I have had it. No down times, no slow downs. Nothing.
Today (a Sunday afternoon) I had a problem with a Moodle course I am running on Hawk Host. This turns out to be a problem not with anything at Hawk Host, but with Moodle itself. I didn't know that at the time, though, so I turned in a trouble ticket at Hawk Host.
Within an hour -- remember, it's a *Sunday afternoon*, Tony had not only gotten back to me via e-mail, he had implemented a solution that is going to solve the biggest aspects of the problem until I can get things resolved with Moodle itself.
I had to come back here to share my experience. I don't post a lot of forum messages at any of the forums I visit, but I read a lot. This time, however, I simply had to write about this. I do not think it is possible to provide better customer service than I have received at Hawk Host.
I don't really know much about how mod_security rules work, I've just clicked on default configuration in WHM.
Anyway one user on our vbulletin board has pmed me saying he can't access the board. He gave me his fixed ip. And I noticed it is in CSF denied ip list as:
lfd: 5 (mod_security) login failures from xx.xx.... I've checked mod_security log and it has like twenty entries for this ip saying: ....
We now have passed 60 days with 3dgwebhosting (3dgwebhosting.com) and what had started as a VPS only endeavor continues to expand based upon the incredible level of support and technical performance we are receiving.
If you would have asked me three months ago about 3dgwebhosting I would have been unable to respond...I did quite a bit of research when we decided to switch from a shared hosting offering with some large shared hosting providers to a VPS. I contacted close to a dozen providers and inquired regarding performance, packages, support, etc. and at the end of the day there was a level of comfort with 3DG that I did not have with the majority of other VPS Providers. Don't get me wrong...there were some shining stars in the bunch but something about 3dg (beyond the great pricing and flexibility) sold me on giving them a try.
Being a serial entrepreneur I have always been partial to working with smaller (at least those that felt smaller!) customer-centric firms for all of my support services from back office to technical. This was no exception. Performance is obviously critical in the technical space but I also view customer service and attentive vendors as critical factors in vendor selection.
Well the short of it is we have been on board with 3DG for over 60 days. Performance has been top notch and the level of customer support has been unmatched by any technical services provider I have used in the past. In addition, 3DG has become a strategic partner and has provided some great insight into how to globalize our technology and incorporate our clients’ needs into our technology platform (i.e. SharePoint). I truly did not expect to see this level of involvement on a consulting front and level of customization on a technology front from a hosting provider – a pleasant surprise! Kudos to David and the 3dg team. We have many sites on the VPS but our primary is glotegy.com.
If my business provides a level of service that is worthy of praise I always hope that my clients will speak their mind and help me spread the word about what I am trying to do. With that said I cannot recommend 3DG highly enough!
Since the inception of the VPS we have also put in place a dedicated server at 3DG that is running Office SharePoint Server and will be live with a hosted solution of Microsoft Dynamics 4.0 CRM with 3DG sometime next week.
Sorry for the long post but as you can probably tell I get pretty passionate about my business and those firms who help me with my global endeavors! To sum it up...finally...3DG is attentive, customer-centric, and a valued business partner.
