Plesk 11.x / Linux :: Unable To Generate Web Server Configuration File
Jul 18, 2015
On Plesk 11.5.30 I have just patched with SSLfix.sh. [URL] ......
When I run an ssl check I get - Certificate name mismatch
I am also getting the following message
Unable to generate the web server configuration file on the host because of the following errors:
Template_Exception: apache2: Syntax error on line 211 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf: Syntax error on line 73 of /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/ssl.conf: </IfModule>SSLHonorCipherOrder without matching <IfModule>SSLHonorCipherOrder section
I can not log into to plesk right now. It's display message " Unable to read Control Panel configuration file: date_default_timezone_get() [function.date-default-timezone-get]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_ timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'Asia/Krasnoyarsk' for '7.0/no DST' instead".
I am unable to disable or modify the firewall by using the plesk firewall extention. Plesk throw the two errors below:
Error: Could not disable firewall: util_exec(.., 'proc_open') failed: file does not exist or is not executable: /opt/psa/admin/bin/modules/firewall/register_service
Error: Could not activate firewall configuration: util_exec(.., 'proc_open') failed: file does not exist or is not executable: /opt/psa/admin/bin/modules/firewall/safeact I checked the symlinks, they point to the same location: /opt/psa/admin/bin/modules/firewall/mod_wrapper -r-s--x--- 1 root root 18896 Jun 6 10:37 mod_wrapper

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION The following error has started to appear on our server: New configuration files for the Apache web server were not created due to the errors in configuration templates: Template processing failed: file = /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/templates/default/nginxDomainVhost.php, error = Template_Exception: Empty content was provided for config file /var/www/vhosts/system/domain/conf/nginx.conf file: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/Template/Writer/Webserver/Abstract.php line: 47 code: 0. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Appears on the plesk home page
ACTUAL RESULT Error displaying as above
EXPECTED RESULT No error should be displaying, I haven't seen this before and we didn't receive an email with error descriptions. Is it safe to regenerate the broken config files / all of them? t
When I specify log rotation settings for domain xyz.com in Plesk panel I expect them to be saved in /etc/logrotate.d/xyz.com file, at least this is the expected behaviour according to Plesk12 Admin Guide: [URL] ....
Apparently, it doesn't happen and I don't have xyz.com file in /etc/logrotate.d/
Log rotation doesn't seem to work either, at least it doesn't work for error.log
I read somewhere that log rotation feature has to be specially enabled in Plesk but I couldn't find specifics anywhere.
On attempting to select the configuration->filter option on RoundCube, we got the error message:
SERVICE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE! Error No.
On /var/log/plesk-roundcube/errors we can see the following logs:
[06-Jun-2015 14:57:17 -0300]: PHP Error: SieveRules plugin: Unable to open default rule file in /usr/share/psa-roundcube/plugins/sieverules/sieverules.php on line 1523 (GET /roundcube/?_task=settings&_action=plugin.sieverules) ... After enabling File Sharing in Plesk 12, the service appears to function correctly. If only a few files are uploaded, they are ok. However, after uploading a directory structure with a handful of MB, and subdirectories, File Sharing stops. It shows at the top of the screen:
"Internal error: The File Sharing service is temporarily unavailable because the site is down for maintenance."
it also says in the main window:
"Unable to load folders list."
Clicking on Upload Files, that dialog also shows "Unable to load folders list."
I have checked that the ownership of those files on the server is www-data:www-data , and that permissions are 755 for directories and 644 for files, because it seems like ownership and permissions could be an issue, however that doesn't fix it. Removing all the files in the share does fix it, however that's not useful if the files should be available for sharing.
I just installed Plesk 11.0.9 Update #8 on a CentOS Linux Server and found a new FTP-server running and listening on port 21. I wanted to deactivate it or at least change the port number to anything else. But in the config file /etc/xinetd.d/ftp_psa there is a comment:
#DO NOT MODIFY THIS FILE BECAUSE IT WAS GENERATED AUTOMATICALLY, #SO ALL YOUR CHANGES WILL BE LOST AFTER YOU UPGRADE PARALLELS PLESK PANEL.
So I can't deactivate the FTP-server with the line "disable = yes" because the default file is restored after a while (I can't pinpoint the event when it happened). In the Plesk frontend I can't see any possibility to deactivate the server or change the port.
In the file above, there is mentioned another config file "server_args = -c /etc/proftpd.conf" but changes in that file are ignored for whatever reason. There I changed the port number but without success. It's still listening on 21 even if the file says otherwise.
I tried to add ac new subscription and this failed. No I have an inconsistent subscription and get the following error: New configuration files for the Apache web server were not created due to the errors in configuration templates:
Template processing failed: file = /opt/psa/admin/ conf/ templates/ default/domainVhost.php, error = Template_Exception: No data. file: /opt/psa/admin/plib/Template/Processor.php line: 28 code: 0 Previous error: Template_Variable_Exception: No data. file: /opt/psa/admin/plib/Template/Variable/AbstractCachedData.php line: 67 code: 0. After the upgrade of our Plesk installation from 9.5x to 11.5.30Everything works ok (sites, sites with databases, Plesk etc)but when I go to Home>Tools & Settings> Backup Manager.I see errors on every daily backup I have on schedule:
