View 2 RepliesAfter updating our server from plesk 11.5.30 to 12.0.18, one of our subscribers is receiving duplicate emails, a varying number anywhere between 5-15 of the same message!
Running plesk 12.0.18 on a CentOS 6.4 Cloud Server
This is a clean installation of Plesk, nothing else has been done on the server. After the Plesk 12 Installation I installed the Route53 Extension directly from the Panel.
I authenticated with the Access ID / Secret key, as soon as I start creating Domains I get duplicated zones in Route53. When I delete the Domain from Plesk only one Domain gets deleted, the other one remains.
This is my debug log where I see it executes the script twice:

The strange thing is, in the custom call it lists all the records twice as well..
When I disable the Plesk DNS Template it doesn't create Zones at all, when I then enable the Template per domain it creates one Zone correctly.

I have a couple of clients on my server that happen to do business with a college here locally. For some reason when anyone from the college emails a user on my server, my clients end up getting 20-100 duplicates of the same email. I contacted their IT staff and they say it is on my end and that my server is "cutting off the sending process before it completes". If that was the case, then the user would not receive the first email.
Is there something on my server that could be causing the issue? My server is Plesk 12.0.18 update #38 running Qmail/Courier-IMAP. The server has no issues otherwise.
I'm having a hard time configuring this setting for nginx on a domain, whatever i try i cant get it to accept files as big as I need. Every time i try i get this red message :

Strange thing is there was no panel.ini file where the instructions are pointing so i created one, but still, i cant get that directive to work.
Before plesk 12 (with 11.5) i finally got it to work by manually editing some nginx conf file on the server, but i can't find anymore how...

Gmail is sending duplicated emails to our server. The time stamps would differ about 10-20 minutes for each same email and usually would duplicate up to 10 copies.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am in a little bit of trouble I got a couple (5) of 750GB hdds that I need backed up to another couple (5?) of 750GB hdds so I can save the data storage on them. They are in a Linux box with a LVM setup I also have a RAID ware card on it but not using any RAID # on them. I decided after finding out what I could do with it to go to Windows 2003 on the server and installing RAID5/6 on it.
It seems that I will have to give up all my data and have everything wiped off from the hard drives this is very sad for me but I still have a chance to save the data on them. So I am thinking of copying them to another bunch of hard drives and then re-add it once the system is in place.

But thats clearly too expensive as I just need to back up 5 hard drives (750GB/each) and just need to do it one time. Anyone have any suggestions to this or how should I go about doing it. It doesnt have to be right away but its good to know my options.
Is there any place where they might to do this kind of stuff they let you rent their machine for a couple of hours for a fee so you can back up your data? The server is a COLO and the hardware is mine so I have every right to take it off and back it up with no problem from the datacenter.
I'm tying to assign nameservers to my new server in whm.
I am trying to do ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com. I would like to manually choose which IPs are given to each nameserver, but WHM is doing it automatically and selecting an internal IP for one.
I don't want this. How can I choose?
I have several websites setup as follows:
- uploaded on host 1 at dedicated IP 111.111.111.111
- and also uploaded at host 2 (backup host) at dedicated IP 222.222.222.222
The dns A-record constantly points at host 1 (IP 111.111.111.111); in case that host fails, I manually switch the dns A-record to host 2 (IP 222.222.222.222).
Being dedicated IPs, I can simply type them in my browser's address window, and I see the index page of my website.
So, in fact, my site can be accessed via 3 urls: my_site.com, 111.111.111.111 and 222.222.222.222.
The question is: will that get me into trouble with Google and other search engines that may see there a duplicate content at 3 different urls and penalize me for that? If yes, how can I avoid it?
We are having some problems with a Foundry Bigiron 4000.

we have a subdomain blog.ourdomain.com that we installed wordpress on to publish content for our static website. We were short of time so we set up Comment kahuna to publish articles in the spaces between our posts (bad idea we now know).
Our page rank has stayed at PR2 for over 2 years.
Now - We have moved to a cms that has a blog included and wish to start blogging on that platform (fresh new regular content).
We cannot transfer all the posts to the new platform and why would we as it is duplicate content.
Problems if we change the subdomain to the new blog we will generate about 110 pages of 404 errors as all the pages are indexed from the old blog.
if we leave the subdomain as is we can htaccess all the old urls to the front page of the new blog (we do not know the .htaccess syntaxt to do this so any ideas)
existing subdomain is apache, new system hosted at different ip on windows server and is SAAS no access to iis.
Issues -What will happen to our PR if we remove duplicate content but create the 404 errors
Should we just redirect the subdomain to the new blog and be patient?
I already have a web account with a shared web host. My site is growing. I want to buy a new account with a different web host but I'm afraid that the servers will be slower (the specs are better, but maybe it has more sites hosted on it or they are dishonest etc.?).
So, when I buy the new hosting account, can I simply copy and paste my site over and see which server serves the page faster? Then I should be able to decide which server to associate the domain name with...
I thought I knew enough about my .htaccess stuff to do this, but I can't seem to work it out. What I want to do is if a user visits domain.com/folder, we check to see if the folder exists. If so, show as normal (IE domain.com/support)
If a user visits domain.com/dynamicusername (dynamicusername is not a physical folder), redirect to dynamicusername.domain.com
I have manually removed a user from the Ubuntu OS. The user isn't present in the Plesk-UI too.On my Vhosts SuexecUserGroup is still set to this non existent user. So the apache can't restart...

Window server 2012 r2: I installed wordpress on a domain using plesk. Seemed to work correctly. But when I went to the site www.example.com/wp-admin, the native or default wordpress install started up. I could find no way to bypass this, so I just re-entered all the same settings.
The result was that I ended up with 2 sets of database tables, one set named with my chosen prefix wp_blahblah_ and one set prefixed with wp_blahblah_wp_.
Not good, so I deleted the later set. Wordpress seems to be working, despite one error on the tables I can't reproduce.
I've been messing about a lot recently and I've had to rebuild my VPS template a lot in the past month. For some reason, Plesk is finding user data from a bunch of previous instances, so I've got to a point now where it's saying users exist when they can't be found in the panel interface.
I don't know how my VPS provider's infrastructure works but I'd presume that when I rebuild the server it's a total new instance and no data should carry over.
Is the the user data stored locally, and how would I go about clearing out the obsolete data?
Is it possible to set the subscription shell option of an subscription via xml api? I see it is possible via cmd "/usr/local/psa/bin/subscription -u {subscription} -shell /usr/local/psa/bin/chrootsh" But how is it possible via xml api?

I use Plesk 11.5.30 on my vServer. I created a new domain with a new web user and /bin/bash (chroot) setting. I can't login with a SFTP connection to this domain only normal FTP connection works. With existing users I don't have this problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have a website under httpdocs/. We can change/delete files with a ftp user : "ftpold". All is ok. We must create another ftp access for another company which can access only to httpdocs directory (not to logs/, error_docs/...).
So we have create a ftp access in Plesk. But with this ftp connexion, we can not update/delete files ou update rights.
So we decide to change rights on the files/directories under httpdocs with the new ftp access :
httpdocs# chown -R ftpnewsacln *
The is no errors but the files:directories are always with the old ftp user :
httpdocs# ls -l
ftpold psacln ... libs/
ftpold pscln ... index.php
Why ? How can i create another ftp access ?
I have a virtual server linux with Strato. When I have upgrade from 11.5 to 12.0.18 in spanish I have seen that I can´t add a new domain in power user. The user has ilimited domains and I have less that 10 domains. I see the buttom of "add domain" as in 11.5 and appears all the fields to complete, but there is not buttom to accept o decline. There is no problem with alias or subdomain. I have reinstall 11.5 and dissapeared the problem, but when I upgrade again to 12.0 this buttom doesn´t appear.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running a brand new installed VPS with CentOS 6.6 and Plesk 12.0.18. I created a subscription and by default a FTP user is created. However, I cannot login with these credentials. I also created a new user but the same problem presists. I'm 100% sure that the username and password is correct.
Filezilla gives me and 530 Login incorrect. But if I look at the /var/log/secure file, I see this odd message (FTP username = test):

View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like my Plesk users to each have access to the mail folder for their domain. cPanel appears to do this by default by creating a folder named /home/user/mail which contains a subfolder for each domain name. Plesk, however, places all email folders together in the /var/qmail/mailnames folder. I would like to end up with a structure similar to how cPanel does it, but it looks like there are at least a couple of ways to accomplish that and I'm not sure what would be the most safe, reliable way to do it.
One way I can think to do it would be to override the Plesk dovecot config by adding a new config file to /etc/dovecot/conf.d. I think changing the values for mail_home and mail_location as follows would possibly work.
Old values:
mail_home = /var/qmail/mailnames/%Ld/%Ln
mail_location = maildir:/var/qmail/mailnames/%Ld/%Ln/Maildir
New values:
mail_home = /var/www/vhosts/%Ld/mail/%Ld/%Ln
mail_location = maildir:/var/www/vhosts/%Ld/mail/%Ld/%LnMaildir
I see a potential issue with this solution; the %Ld for an add-on domain will probably be the add-on domain, and there will not be a folder within /vhosts/ with that name. Perhaps there is another variable for the primary domain that I could use there.
A second way I can think to do it would be to add a symlink in /var/www/vhosts/domain/ named "mail" that points to the actual mail folder for a domain. Again, issues would probably occur here with add-on domains, and I also can't see a way to automate this. I also predict permissions issues with this solution.
I am using Dovecot if that makes a difference.
Looking at a server with Plesk 12 installed there is no root user shown in tools & settings / scheduled tasks.
Login as root and crontab -l shows root has some tasks.
On a similar server with Plesk 11.5 installed can see root user shown in tools & settings / scheduled tasks.
