Plesk 11.x / Windows :: Creating Global Default Nameservers For Clients?
Jul 3, 2012Is there a way to create global default nameservers for our clients to use in Plesk 11? A lot of clients rather not create their own nameservers, and would simply like to use ours. I can't find any settings in the Plesk Administration where you would create your nameservers as you would in other panels like cPanel/WHM.

Aug 25, 2014I have a problem with one of my user accounts (let's call it testuser) in Plesk. System is Windows Server 2012 R2 with Plesk 12.In the Control Panel, the customer and subscription for testuser are removed, so there should not be any data left for the domain/user.
However, when I want to create a new subscription with the username testuser, Plesk gives the error "User account already exists". I tried to manually remove the domain and took the following steps:

As described in this topic, I logged in to the MySQL server and tried to remove the user:

Sep 1, 2013I recently upgraded the Plesk to 11.5.30. Now I am not able to create new MySQL databases. I am getting below error.

MySQL admin details are correct in plesk database, also the admin has full privileges. I am manually able to create databases, users from mysql prompt. It's just the plesk interface that's giving error.

Oct 5, 2013I run a website that uses a GoDaddy Virtual Private Server & Plesk. The website sends emails to alert users of various events. For the most part, this works but I occasionally capture the following error message:
Error in processing. The server response was: Requested action aborted: This mail account has sent too many messages in a short amount of time. Please try later.
Can the number of messages sent over X number of minutes be set via Plesk? If so, how?

Jul 10, 2014In plesk 11 all work OK , but now in version 12 , something go wrong.
I have an VPS Windows 2008 with Plesk 12 and Persits Software like (www.aspjpeg.com).
The Path of software is : C:Program FilesPersits SoftwareAspJpg
I set the permissions :
- Everybody (FullControl)
- Administrator (FullControl)
- Users (FullControl)
All go right, but the Plesk run micro update or check permission add this other account :
- psaadm (Deny All)
- psacln (Deny All)
And then persists Software not work in ASP files. If I delete this permission or change to Full Control all work again, but when have a new update all permission was reset and set again Deny All.
What happened? What can I do ?

In the older version of Plesk I can do it by linux in /etc/php.ini and restart the apache and all Domains will be load this configuration. But from Plesk 11 the settings are not loading from /etc/php.ini, only by the own php.ini file.How can I do it for all domains?

I'm having troubles getting the global scheduled backup task to work at Home > Tools & Settings >Backup Manager > Server Repository.
At a subscription the scheduled backup works how it should.
Home > Subscriptions > example.com > Websites & Domains > Server Repository
The problem is as follows: When I set the scheduled task at a specific time example 00:00 it does not run at all. But when I just do "Create a backup" it does work...
I've done [URL] .... and everything in here is configured how it should be.
This is my configuration for scheduled task:
Cronjob is placed in : /etc/cron.d/plesk-backup-manager-task
Also did run: rpm -q --scripts psa-backup-manager | sed 1d | sh
This problem is only in the global backup configuration.

Feb 19, 2008We currently take transit from Level3 and Tiscali in addition to peering at LINX in the UK. We reaching capacity on our 100Mbps connection to Level3 which we take through a Reseller. I plan to keep our Tiscali transit as we receive great routes to Europe.
I have received quotes for increasing our Level3 to 1Gbps with 100 Mbps CDR and also switching to Global Crossing direct which are I think are fairly competitive at ~ £12 per Mbps?
Does any one have direct experience with either of these two providers in the UK and can recommend who has the best support/routes etc? Additionally I see a number of other UK providers are using Telia and NTT. Having had no experience with Telia or NTT I am unsure if they are in the same league as Global Crossing and Level3. Also are there any other Tier 1's we should be looking at?

We're setting up an external network to test back into our network from geographically/carrier diverse locations. We've got about 15 hosts up, but most are in the states, one in london, one in amsterdam, one in frankfurt and one in hong kong.
The current wish list of locations includes -
- Japan
- S. Korea
- Australia (holy cow bw is expensive in sydney! is anyone charging less than $500 per Mb?)
- Paris, France (we have one quote in, but it is pretty pricy)
- Italy
- Spain
- Sweden
I'm doing research and have submitted rfq's to companies in most of these locations, but was hoping for personal recommendations of hosts you have used.

Apr 25, 2009Is anyone here running GFS? The responsibility of managing a small cluster of them is about to fall into my lap, and the only documentation I can find is on Wikipedia, which is troubling. I've got the man pages, but I was hoping for more of a document outlining how it works.
Why would lock_dlm2 or gfs_scand take up close to 100% CPU with minimal traffic on the machine, for example? What do those do? How can I tune it to not do that?
I'm not so much looking for specific answers here about tuning, but am more curious about where I should be looking for documentation. I find it hard to believe that there is none?
