Can't View Emails From My Server In Outlook Or Thunderbird
Mar 5, 2008
I have a virtual dedicated server hosted with "Domains Priced Right" I have several domains hosted on the server with emails for each. I used to be able to view my emails in Outlook however recently I've been getting the error (0x80042108) 'Outlook cannot connect to incoming (POP3) email server'
I've switched to thunderbird and still have the same problem. "Could not connect to the server mail.blahblah.com; the connection was refused."
I have about 10 domains and I can't see the emails for any of them.
I know the emails are there I can see them when I use webmail. I know thunderbird works because it can get email from gmail and my ISP. It just won't connect to the server and download them.
Things worked in the past so I'm perplexed. I'm running Windows Vista and maybe a new update has caused a problem. It may be a firewall issue but I've had a look at that. Also I did do a clean up of some old drivers. I think it might be a dodgey email file.
I am running CentOS Linux 7.0.1406 (Core) with Plesk Version 12.0.18 Update #19.
Customers who use Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird cannot send Emails through IMAP (Courier) because their mailclients say "Cannot write to sent Folder" even when there is a "Sent" Folder in the IMAP Structure existing. It is also subscribed by the Client.
Outlook Users have to go to: file - account settings > account settungs > Change > more Settings > advanced > root Folder path and enter the word inbox
Mozilla Users have to enter "INBOX." under advanced IMAP Settings in Thunderbird.
So my question is: Why is that ? And cant i Change something as admin on the Server side so all customers dont have to Panic and set an inbox Folder path in their mailclients ?
For customers it has to work without Client-side configuration...
When I am trying to configure my e-mail in outlook 2010 / Thunderbird, the incoming Server don't respond (IMAP/POP3) but for the outgoing, it works perfectly. Webmail is full functional.
I'm trying to send an e-mail from my imap server to an aol e-mail address, when i attempt to send the e-mail it doesn't send it to the aol e-mail address. Is there a specific port number i should set on my out look under my smtp settings?
I am a PHP programmer, working on a script to notify me when a new file is uploaded to my website, thing is it sends on each new file and the database went screwy,
No I am getting a few thousand emails each day from my script, I think my cron job executed it several times,
Anyhow, I deleted the script but I am still getting mail,
I have my own dedicated..
How can I view and or purge the pending mail that is waiting to be sent?
I have rebooted and deleted the script itself, but still sendin me mail
There is a strange problem with picking up and sending emails on Outlook 2007 which I have wasted hours on over the last week.
Whenever I try to pick up/send emails on domain names, I get a 800CCC0F error message. It says: "reported error (0x800CCC0F): 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If the problem continues, contact your server adminstrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP)'"
I have gone through all the steps here [url]and here [url]and on another websites.
I have been setting up email addresses on Outlook for several years, so know how they should be done.
The strange thing is the email addresses of domain names hosted elsewhere work perfectly. But both new and existing Clook-hosted email addresses are producing this error message.
I believe it may be an error with the software for two reasons:
1. The email addresses work perfectly when I open Outlook in Safe Mode.
2. Our web host's staff have not been able to find anything wrong and the email addresses work when they try to set them up on their computers.
Any idea why our email addresses may not be working and how I can fix this please?
I have tried System Restore and Repairing the program on my computer's Control Panel.
I have a Cloud VPS with 1and1 and Plesk is installed on it. I happen to have a VPS view that doesn't include DNS functionality for the domains.
So, i have added domain to the system, create an email address... because i dont see on how i can manage DNS settings I have set up cloudflare and pointed domain to the cloudflare and cloudflare is pointing to server.
so I have email: me@domain.com
on cloudflare i have: A domain @ IP A www @ IP CNAME mail @ domain MX 10 mail.domain
In plesk i have set up an alias, mail.domain for domain, that has access to email.
I go to the network-tools.com to look up me@domain.com: [Resolving mail.domain...] [Contacting mail.domain [IP]...] [Timed out]
Is there a way to see what was happening on the server the last 24 hours for example in WHM ? A log or something.. To see if there was any high loads etc..
I have a dedicated server with few hundred domains on it.
How can I automate to view all traffic stats for all of the domains in the server. Currently, I have to manually view the popular domains one by one to see the stats.
Ideally, I want to view daily visitors/per domain by a email report. Is this possible via backend script/cron job?
I am having a problem setting mails on Thunderbird.i did exactly as you said in the documentation but still receive an error for sending an email (incoming email is good).i used full email address as username.domainname.tld as Incoming/Outgoing server address.
port 25 and 143 but still seem that i can't send emails.via web-mail i can , but via Thunderbird on my local PC i can't.I have a dedicated windows server with plesk 11.0.9
Incoming mail on several devices with various operating systems gives me no trouble at all. However I can not find the right settings for outgoing mail for Thunderbird 24.0.
For incoming mail I noticed I had to submit mail.<name>.be and port 143, no authentication and non-encrypted password. And it works.
For outgoing mail server I've tried a lot of options:
mail.<name>.be, all ports tested, all authentication options, and with both encrypted or non-encrypted passwords, in every combination of these settings. smtp.<name>.be , all ports tested, all authentication options, and with both encrypted or non-encrypted passwords, in every combination of these settings. <name>.be, all ports tested, all authentication options, and with both encrypted or non-encrypted passwords, in every combination of these settings.
