I have a bare minimal server which I want to move WHMCS over to. However, how do I setup e-mails so I can setill PIPE them into the system? The e-mail server would be hosted on the main server still.

I have a busy dating website with 30 000 registered users and ~200-600 users online all the time. I would like to offer free email with ~10 MB mailbox to all users.
I have an idea to use scripts provided by b1gmail.de. Its similar to Hivemail or Socketmail. It uses only one POP3 catch-all mailbox and stores all emails in MySQL database, including attachments.
My worries are about MySQL. If I have 30 000 users and each user has some 5000 messages in his/her mailbox: 30 000 x 5 000 = 150 000000
That's 150 million rows in one table!
I know, not all users will have 50000 messages in their mailboxes, but the number of users increases about +2000/month.
I can't imaggine how long time will need MySQL to find messages for each user in the table with 150 000000 rows.
I don't know - maybe it's not a problem at all. I just never had such large tables and I don't know if it's possible at all.
Another problem: I have Fedora Core 2 installed and even don't know yet if it supports files larger than 2 GB.
Maybe it's better to set-up normal POP3 mailboxes for all users instead of using one catch-all box and storing data in MySQL?
do not post warnings about spammers. In the beginning I'll provide email addresses only to "gold" members. I opened this thread because I don't want to set-up a system which will hang after a couple of months because MySQL will not be able to handle it or I will have other unknown problems.

I just checked by sending a test mail to my hotmail account but the mail wasn't recd. so
I checked the mail queue manager in WHM and the hotmail related mails were not traced.
how I can overcome this problem, I can send mail to hotmail if they are bouncing but when I don't find in the queue , what can I mail about them , when they ask an error id
I sent mass mail from vBulletin forum and I want to see status of those mails via ssh. I mean, I need to see how many mails is sent well, how many of them are still sending e.t.c
I installed litespeed but now I can't send mails, I didn't got any error but mails are not delivered. My ip is not listed at spamhaus or something like that. Before, with apache it worked fine

I'm having a problem with mails on my server. I configured csf and ddos deflate to send a mail to "root" when some ip is blocked. I made .forward in /root dir with my mail but I still don't recieve an email when an ip is blocked by csf or ddos deflate

Eventhough, I did not setup any signatures. Plesk server with spamguardian running.
One of my e-mail addresses - steve@acme.ie - is regularly marked as spam. My mail server is not blacklisted. My e-mails are always plaintext, and only sometimes have URLs in them.
Looking at my mail server health everything looks ok except for what I assume are reverse DNS entries for my domain. So I'm guessing this is the problem.
So...
1. Do I need to ask my hosting company (I have a dedicated server with the planet) to set up reverse DNS entries for all my domains, or can I do this manually? Note I use my own DNS server, I do not use the hosting company's DNS server.
2. Will it be a problem that all my domains (dublinjobs.ie, acme.ie, etc.) use the same IP?
well we are reseller with some dozens of site... we use squirell mail for mails for all the sites hosted with us..or the cpanel...
the problem lately is that our sites mail.............all sites hosted with us are getting hundreds of spams every day..mails of all sites seems similar...
even if we create a new site in our account..a brand new site starts getting hundreds of spam mails..
so it has made things very difficult...
most of mail seems normal with normal names and normal subject like hello... so it is making things very difficult .. we feel that ip of server has been targeted by spammers..
I have a VPS in which mails are hanging in Mailqueue. When I use these commands at SSH(iptables -D OUTPUT 2 iptables -D OUTPUT 1 ), every thing goes fine and mails are started delivering but after 8 or 9 hours same problem occurs.
So my question is:
Can there be a permanent solution for this problem?
Can someone who really knows what they are talking about write me up a very quick parag. on the reasons why the internet is becoming overloaded w/ e-mail & why people don't get their e-mails besides spam filters filtering them, for example the grey/black list, detecting viruses in Word when the person's anti virus isn't picking it up, etc.
I would like to block emails that contain certain subject that goes to one domain and also the one being sent internally between the users on the same domain. The tricky part is, the recipient of the blocked email will receive a notification (The message has been blocked. To retrieve the full emails, please contact the administrator). Anybody has done it before?
i recently changed host and after i changed host, i am unable to send emails to hotmail from my mail server. Gmail and yahoo are fine.

I have used "yyyyyyy" only to alter the email address for privacy..
I've had problem with the VPS getting blacklisted alot lately.
Anyway, I think the problems resolved now and we've not been blacklisted for over 2 days, yet there still seems to be alot of e-mail servers rejecting mails from the server due to blacklisting.
I have suddenly found myself in a really terrible situation ... I have just noticed that I am not receiving mails for sometime, and I tested that I can't send any mail as well ...
On some further search, I found that that is probably because of the huge number of emails present in my account .. I never cared before as I had set unlimited space in the set up, means, it could theoritically use all my server spaces.
Now, with 20600 mails (of course 99% of them are probably spams) I am totally hanged, and I tried to delete, and found that I can't even delete my mails.
The solution is probably to delete mails using SSH, to delete a few thousands starting from the last (earliest) or even better, to delete those marked as {Definitely Spam}.

I recently signed up with a new host with CPanel and my emails are landing in junk folder of gmail/yahoo/hotmail id's. I contacted my host support and they added a SPF record. But this problem still persists. The record was added 2 days back.
What are the different formats of SPF record? Which one is used by majority of hosts?
