Unable To Connect To Local Httpd Server.
When i go to my website or any page under the domain it's just white. Blank nothing, nada.
"Failed to receive status information from Apache. Unable to connect to local httpd server."
This error message appears when i click on "apache status".
Is this because of the network issue? Or is it because of something I did myself?
I did a google search and came up on some solution, I did them and nothing.

UK Users Unable To Connect To One Of My Websites
I've been getting a lot of complaints today on my forum that users cannot view their websites which are subdomains on a seperate domain that I own. It makes no sense why they would have access to the forums which is on the same dedicated server, using the same IP, and with the same nameservers as the site they cannot access. This issue started last night out of nowhere. Where should I even start looking? It appears to only be with overseas users since none of the US and Canadian users have any issues with either domains or their subdomains.

20% Of People Unable To Connect To My Site
I just switched to a new server last month and Im having a problem where a lot of my members and even some of my mods are unable to connect to my website. They are just getting a page cannot be displayed error. The website is ftascene(dot)com. Is everyone here able to connect to the site, and any idea why not everyone would be able to connect?

Unable To Connect With Wireless Router
I have not been able to connect to my server via browser, ftp or email since my server had a OS reload & security package installed. If I disconnect and remove my wireless router I can access the server directly from the modem. When the Linksys WRT54G is connected I can go anywhere on the net with no problems, except my server. Is there something they might have done at the server to block wireless router access? I get a timed out message when I ping any of the IP's on the server with the wireless router connected. Linksys has been of no help and I have talked with Clearwire who owns my modem.

Yesterday I had to install a renewed SSL Certificate. Managed to get it installed, in Plesk under domains/www_mydomain_com, but I also deleted the default SSL from the server/certificates area... So then I was getting an dns 500 error when browsingour site and I could not start httpd from within plesk. Went in through SSH and tried to start it from there and got and error stating it could not find the SSLCA cert it was looking for. So I edited my httpd.include file to point to my new certificate. Now http works, but my email has stopped? What gives how could the two be related! Unable To Connect Via SSH With Centos5 X64
I have been struggling with a couple of new servers that we want to run Centos 5 on. For a second assume that is our desire so going back to 4.x isn't an option yet. Now while I mention Centos 5, the problem seems to be with PAM and x64. When trying to login to the server via ssh, the login succeds but then immediately kicks the user out. I have tried this with root and another user created. I have set the UsePam option to no to try to resolve this in sshd_config. On the H-Sphere forum I found this reference: [url] " if i try to connect with ssh and i enter the right password i get an error and ssh closes the connection. Cpsrvd Failed @ ... Failure Reason: Unable To Connect To Port 2086
I have tried everything I know (I know not much) I have rebooted it multiple times. I have terminated lots of account and now I have only 2 or three accounts. I have removed all the fishy scripts. Done everything I can. But it just becomes un responsive within a minute of re booting. Its a Pentium 4 Single Core server. 1GB Ram and 160GB harddisk with cpane+WHM. I get error cpsrvd failed @ Thu Dec 11 19:50:43 2008. A restart was attempted automagically. Users Cannot Connect To Remote MySQL Server
I have a few users that have a hosting account with me and are trying to connect to their own MySQL servers elsewhere. Both said that they are able to connect to the MySQL server with other hosting accounts but not the ones hosted with me. I asked if they had setup permissions to allow remote connections from my server and they confirmed that they did. What am I missing? Do I need to configure my firewall somehow? Can't Connect To MySQL Server On 'localhost' (10055)
Do you guys know anything about this? My server works perfectly with INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE for mysql. but after like 12 hours later, my application crashes and I get this "Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10055)" and I would have to restart my applications and everything will be working perfectly. Mail Server Taking Too Much Time To Connect
For some reason, one of the servers can't connect to my mail server. Whenever a user tries to send email from that server to my server, the message won't go through and I see the following in the logs (var/log/exim/mainlog): 2007-02-13 23:56:06 SMTP connection from (***.ca) [***.***.***.***] lost while reading message data (header) this problem occurs only with this ***.ca mail server (as far as I know). In fact, trying dnsreport.com tool on any of my server domains, I am getting the error message "ERROR: I could not complete a connection to any of your mailservers! ******.com: Timed out [Last data sent: RCPT TO: ] If this is a timeout problem, note that the DNS report only waits about 40 seconds for responses, so your mail *may* work fine in this case but you will need to use testing tools specifically designed for such situations to be certain.

Different Local Remote Server Types
I cannot find a suitable forum for this query so here goes on this one! I am doing a charity site as a voluntary exercise. They currently host with Eclipse who have the Zeus server (site developed in Frontpage). This is not an open source server. Thing is, what are the issues of say developing on my loacal machine (apache or IIS5) and having the remote being Zeus. I use Dreamweaver 8 for developing. I would of thought this does not matter as the server technology is transparent and down to configuration files. The directory structure both ends can be the same. Am I right to go ahead and not worry about this?

Fresh Centos Server Install But Cannot Connect To The Internet
The setup: 2wire BT router (Firmware 6.1.1) 1 Server (Dell) Hardware with NICs (Server is connected to router via Ethernet Cable) 5 Static Ip addresses purchased from BT Server OS is Centos 5.2 All laptops (5) are able to connect to the net wirelessly. I just did a standard installation of the Centos following [url] I then tried Code: yum update but it times out. I have no remote access to the server. I can only connect when i am on the router. I have seached, read and tried so many sites and commands but it just is not working. I have had this problem for about a 6 days. Its a long story but basically this server setup has become a nemesis. I don't mind providing remote access to the server and router admin page if needed. I am in London btw.

Can't Access My Local Web Server By Its External IP
I have a local web server that I want to make available outside of my local network of two computers. I configured NAT at my router, configured the firewall. I Typed the external IP and got nothing, while I still was able to access my web server by typing "localhost", I tried both IIS and Apache, but what is interesting is that fact that the other people can access my web server via that external IP, I just cannot access it from my local network.

Connecting To Local Server With Virtual Machines
How do you go about setting up virtual machines so that they can see sites hosted on the host machine? I've got Virtual PC 2007 and the disk image that MS supply for testing IE6 on Vista machines and I'm having trouble accessing my local Apache server (set up with XAMPP). Until recently I was able to set the XP VM's LAN settings to use a proxy server with the IP address of the host machine, but I got migrated to ADSL2+ yesterday by my ISP and now that's no longer working. VPS: Unable To Access Remote Server
I have an outsourced project where someone from India is developing a program for me but we keep running into a problem that I can't find the solution too. Every time we try to use our program to access one of our private squid/proxy server we receive an error back. To make a long story short, as a consequence of the outage we lost some of our advertisers, and right now we cannot afford our old server. We decided well in advance to delete our server, so early this week we contacted the customer care and asked when we were supposed to enter the cancellation ticket to have our server removed before the billing date (June 22). We were told to post the ticket on July 19. We did better than that. We posted the ticket shortly after this first chat. On July 19th, we went into servercommand, to find out that the cancellation ticket was no longer there. I rushed into the live chat, and was told that the ticket was lost because we had not posted it in orbit. Ok then, let me post it immediately in orbit then. Well, unsurprisingly, Orbit was unavailable in that moment. We told the live chat tech, and basically we were left hanging on the chat for hours until we were able again to access the orbit system. the Live Chat person said she could not enter the ticket for us, so we had to wait for orbit to load for us again. Well, guess what? Orbit loaded again for us, but exactly after the Midnight, so it was now effectively the 20th, no longer the 19th. Nice, uh? Do I smell something fishy here? Weird Issue - Unable To Connent To My Server Now..
well i had an issue with not beable to access FTP. so i reboot server, but it took quiet abit longer to start then usual, so i emailed the D/C to reboot it, before they reboot it. it starts working fine, i can access it etc etc... after i recieve an email from the tech saying he has rebooted it, i find that i am unable to access my own server http/ssh... i've checked the site via a proxy and it works.. check it your self [url] - does this work for you? as it sure as hell doesnt work for me.... unsure what could have happned or anything.. tech guy doesnt seem to be helping me much at all.

Unable To Access Sites On Plesk Server
When trying to access any web sites or webmail on a plesk server i keep getting the following. Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Nothing as far as i can see has changed on the server. I cant access plesk control panel due to network restrictions but have command line access. what could of caused this blanket ban? Cant see any changes in .htaccess files, but didnt think that plesk would affect these much anyway

Spammers Trying To Connect To Mail Server & Filling Logs
I use cpanel. Is there any way to disallow connections to SEND mail FROM my server to specific IPs? (Similarly to how you can limit connections to sshd from certain IPs) I realize I cannot disable everything completely, as yahoo and the likes will have to connect to deliver mail. But no one of any use is going to try and connect to send mail, but a spammer. No one has gotten in and abused it as of yet (knock on wood), but SMTP is being restarted at random and I can only imagine that this is being caused by one of these scumbags probably ddos'ing me. It takes eons to browse these logs, even if they restart via logrotate periodically!

Updating Access Databases On Local Web Server
I am using Windows XP Pro, and since I updated to Internet Explorer 7 I am having problems getting web sites to work on my PC in Internet Explorer using the local IIS web server. These web sites are using ASP and Access databases. The two errors I get are: Operation must use an updateable query. or Cannot modify the design of table 'TABLE_NAME'. It is in a read-only database. (they are not read only!) Does anyone know how I can get this working so I can test my web sites locally before uploading them to the live sites?

I got a new server from uk2, has whm but i just couldnt get the server to work, i changed hostname and made nameservers etc but couldnt get it to work i pointed ips to hostnames and everything no response, domain is www.uploadline.com ns1.uploadline.com and ns2.uploadline.com i havent used cpanel for 2 years now and i used to have alot of experience in it before these days i just stick to directadmin and other control panels. [mailconfigupdate] Unable To Automatically Update The Mailer Config On SERVER

Cause I wish to allow a relay without authentification. This morning, I've got this: cPanel was unable to automatically merge your Exim configuration with the new settings that shipped with the build you have installed (11.23.6-RELEASE_27698) because you have a custom ACL configuration which cannot be automatically configured. To avoid any mail downtime, we thought it was best to leave your previous configuration intact until the new configuration can be properly installed. In order to complete this configuration update, you will need to manually merge your configuration with the new configuration settings. Please follow the steps below to complete this update: 1. Enter the Advanced Configuration Editor 2. Notate any custom changes you have made in the ACL section. You may also which to make a copy of /etc/exim.conf.local and /etc/exim.conf.localopts as custom settings are contained in these files. 3. Click the 'Reset ACL Config to Defaults' button. 4. Reinstall your advanced custom settings. Until you manually complete this update, automatic spam filtering may have been rendered inoperable to prevent any mail loss. when i try to Terminate an Account this message appears The /var partition on this server is running out of disk space. WHM operation has been temporarily suspended to prevent something bad from happening. Httpd Is Killing My Server
24 hours ago something wired happend.. For some reason httpd is causing high serverload. ATM : 22:44:17 up 22:17, 2 users, load average: 6.23, 6.12, 8.88 U Will keep gooing up and httpd need to be restartet when serverload comes up to 30. The traffic on the server is normal, no changes is made on the server.

Server Host Name Issue/httpd
my server will revert to its old host name and stop working. Old host name was (in) and the new one is (zonto). Then, the server will eventually crash HTTPD. There is enough ram, there is small cpu usage. HTTPD is restarted and then it says it can't connect to local host blah blah. I checked EVERYWHERE, the new host name is set. Is there a host name issue some where else? I change it via the hostname command and changed all of the files.
