Server IP Blocked By Yahoo
Nov 4, 2008Unfortunately yahoo blocked our server ip, so our customer cant send any email to yahoo!
How can fix this issue? Do you have any email or ticket system in yahoo for contant about this issue?

Nov 19, 2007I have an issue with 4 servers, one at theplanet.com and 3 at ayksolutions.com
Traceroute from any ayk servers to the planet dies on the last router on the planet site,
traceroute from the planet to any ayk servers dies on the last router on the ayk site.
using a different IP for the planet server works.
Now, how can I figure out which router blocks this connection?
Everything was perfect till yesterday. I can ssh on all servers.
Technical staf from both ISPs has no idea and point to eachother. Is it other tool to see where I'm blocked.
Blocked By My Own SErver
Jun 5, 2007I am often blocked by my own server.
So I can access my site through anonymouser.com but I cannot access my site directly. Changing my IP (using ASDL) will solve the problem.
A techie told me that it happened because of failed login attempt.
However, I had not made any failed login attempt?
Then it happened again today.
Why is this happening?
Though I didn't make eronous login attempt, I did try to check whether my sites are on or not a lot.
My PC Is Blocked. Cannot Access To My Server
Apr 12, 2008Yes, cannot access my server with my PC. Tried everything but no avail. I confirmed that the server is up and running, everyone else can access it.
Here is what has been done so far:Cannot access to server after my FTP program automaticly tries to connect few times with wrong password. Fine, my IP will be flushed in 10~20 minutes tops. But no, after an hour still cannot access.
Submitted a ticket to the provider. They have flushed the Iptables, stopped the firewall, and added my IP address to allowed hosts file.
I have stopped the firewall in my PC. Flushed the DNS cache and restarted the windows.
Can use internet without a problem. Can access any website w/o problem except my own server.
Can anyone think of anything causing this?
My IP Was Blocked To Access To My Server
Sep 3, 2007I got the server hosting at liquidweb.
I access my website and ssh normally until 2 days ago. I couldn't go to my website and ssh anymore. All my clients can go to the website, sftp, ssh normally. I did a VPN to my company office and I can access to my website and ssh from my office.
Obviously, my IP address at home was blocked.
Do you think that was from Liquidweb firewall or my server cpanel firewall or something like that?
Hotmail Blocked My Server

I just checked and it looks like yahoo dont accept emails from my server.
so is there any way i send those bulk emails to those users or my web site from another mail service prodider so that delivery guaranted?

To Install Phpmyadmin On A Yahoo Server
May 4, 2008i was trying to create a MySQL database for my site. My site is hosted on a yahoo server. From the control panel, when i click on the Mysql datbase link, i get a page that says Mysql database is active. Then as per the online help provided by yahoo, i created a database admin user name and password. Then i installed phpmyadmin in a newly created folder. Then i accessed the homepage of phpmyadmin and entered my login credentials i,e my database admin username and password. The next page that appears is supposed to let me create a database and access it. But all i get is an empty page with my domain name in the left hand side top corner and the link to the yahoo control panel on the right. I installed phpmyadmin couple of times to check if it was an installation problem, but it was of no use. I tried accesing it from my friends pc, but with no luck. I contacted yahoo support via email couple of days back, but still i haven received any reply from them. Please help me out to fix this problem. Is there anything i missed out?

Mar 15, 2008I cannot send emails to name@hotmail.com from any of sites hosted on my server. No mass emails. no unusual activities. Even though they blocked it. I filled out their forms but they didn't remove the block.

IP From Our Server Company Blocked Because They Do Not Point Back To The Original
Jul 27, 2008We have a server with a fine company, BocaCom. They are who the IP addresses are we use ultimately registered to. It seems we are being blacklisted by secureserver (isn't that Godaddy?) because the IP does not register to us for our outgoing email. It registers to BocaCom.
Is anyone else having this problem, and how to we get around it? We've contacted BocaCom and are waiting for their reply. Is this an IP issue or am I reading the secureserver reply wrong?

While there is indeed an rDNS record created for 72.35.xx.xx, it does not point back to the original A record. This will need to be updated before we can look further into unblocking the IP.

I am running a php script using the mail() function and sending an email..
I have had reverse dns point to the domain
I set an SPF record
My IP is not blacklisted.. I have had the dedicated server for 2 years now also
I modified a few things in the sendmail files.. I am stuck..
I am running freeBSD.. My buddy has his server set up with all of the same sendmail settings being the same.. and his emails don't get flagged..

My server certainly did not spam Gmail servers, (my old server works fine sending email t gmail) I fear this has something to do with my "Postfix" configuration.

Jun 25, 2008For several months the Yahoo bot had been controlled to one visit per 40 seconds with a robots.txt page. Today it is not working and creating several page impressions per minute.
Has anyone seen any new advice on how to control this pesky creature?

Jan 20, 2008All of a sudden my sites are not visible to me hosted in the same cirtex hosting account. I have verified that it wasn't spyware messing with my local computer and can view the site via a proxy. They use cpanel and there is no block visible, but there has to be something somehwere. I told them to restart and that did make the site visible until I checked in the morning, Where would a block be if this is it and is there a chance this was done by a hacker?

Jun 2, 2006My server is being pounded with Yahoo bots, close to 500 or more at a time. They are causing my loads at various times of the day to skyrocket, crashing the mysql server, etc. They have been on my site for about 4 days now and I just dont see why that many bots are needed to crawl a single site for several days.
Is there any way around this without banning their ips? Any way to limit them?

Nov 21, 2007I have this strange problem with smartermail, it can send perfectly to hotmail and gmail but when it tried sending to yahoo accounts, there is always a delay and the email end in the bulk folder.
Such problems does not occur with my qmail or icewarp merak. Any idea how to solve? Have already emailed Yahoo hoping to get a whitelisting of my IP. Besides installing domainkeys any other ways?

IP Not Being Blocked Properly

93.6.224.242
It adds fine when I do:
iptables -A INPUT -s 93.6.224.242 -j DROP
However, the IP is still accessing files and pages on the site according to Apache:
When I ban other IP's they are blocked from accessing anything on the server (e.g. it wouldn't even reach Apache level because of firewall), but this IP just isn't banning properly.
