i made spf , domainkey , rDNS
everything is ok , i contacted Hotmail to be part of SenderId program ,and told me 2 days and sending will be ok , i waited for 10 days , till now every new member can't recive ctivation email , what shall i do ??????

Mar 10, 2008Nowadays it's everyone's headache for sending mails to hotmail and yahoo i guess. I am having the same problem.
I add the domainkey to domains, but when i send mail to yahoo it drops to spam.
I didn't tried it with hotmail, but reason for dropping spam at yahoo is probably because of no spf record.
I am having a bit trouble with setting spf. I read some documents and my mind is messed up, i can't figure out what to do.
My server's ip address is : xx.xx.xx.xx
My server's hostname is : server.x.com
and i have domains like , y.com, z.com, f.com bla bla that wants to send mail to hotmail.
Those sites are using different ips, but each ip is using more than 1 site,
I read that i need to setup reverse dns, but one article says i should do it for my hostname, other one says for mail server : mail.x.com.
So first question how should i setup reverse dns?
Second question, it says i need to add spf record for my domain, does it mean my hostname, or the domain i want to send mail ?

and than i should fill form at https://support.msn.com/eform.aspx?p...rid&ct=eformts
and than wait.
So i will be glad if someone can answer my questions and tell me if there is any missing parts.

after exim install and finished when send 1 mail the mail arrive good without any problem when send again server not send and the problem still again

Apr 3, 2008I'm trying to send mails to yahoo and hotmail from my vps and the result was the mail ended up in Spam folder in yahoo and didn't receive any mails in hotmail. When I check the Full MEssage Header
in yahoo, the sender was "Sender: Nobody <nobody@host.mydomain.com>" Do I have to set to a name or something ?
My rDNS and SPF was set up correctly, I think. domainkeys=neutral (no sig)
Im using php mail() to send out the mails.

Mar 1, 2008I have contacted hotmail asking why automated emails such as registration verification are being blocked and they said that my server's IP was on a blacklist for spam. I never spam and I do not think a bot has phished using my server's IP. Anyway, if I were to switch server IPs would that solve the problem?

This is a test of the body.
I originally thought the reason hotmail or yahoo didn't receive my emails was because I had no reverse DNS for the IP I was sending the emails out with. Therefore I had my VPS provider create one for my IP. It now reflects ipalaces.org with the IP I use to send out emails (64.74.153.24)
Even after the reverse DNS in place, hotmail nor yahoo could recieve my emails. I am now pretty much stump as to why. I have googled and scanned various other solutions and I havent found anything.

The main thing that strikes out to me is that hotmail says "Queued mail for delivery" whereas Gmail normally says "OKAY". It seems as hotmail gets the email, and then decides it's no good. I don't know if my IP is blacklisted or I have to change something in my configuration from 127.0.0.1 to my IP, or what I have to do.
Hotmail And Yahoo Users Not Receiving Mails From My Site
Dec 7, 2007Gmail users are fine.
Two days ago, Yahoo and hotmail users were receiving emails in the Junk folder. I thought this was due to the Reverse DNS settings not being set. So, I contacted Rus from cheapVPS and asked him to enable the Reverse DNS setting after I entered it in the Hyper VM panel, and he kindly did it.
Unfortunately, since the Reverse DNS setting was entered, Yahoo and Hotmail users stopped receiving mails from my site. Gmail users never faced any problem.

Mar 11, 2009I cannot figure this out.. I have tried EVERYTHING..
I am running a php script using the mail() function and sending an email..
I have had reverse dns point to the domain
I set an SPF record
My IP is not blacklisted.. I have had the dedicated server for 2 years now also
I modified a few things in the sendmail files.. I am stuck..
I am running freeBSD.. My buddy has his server set up with all of the same sendmail settings being the same.. and his emails don't get flagged..

Sep 17, 2007I have problems sending emails from my VPS to Hotmail and Gmail email accounts. This is a new VPS with some new websites so they are not blacklisted for spam or anything like that.
After users register at my website they receive a welcome email, but with Hotmail/Gmail accounts they end up by default in the spam/junkfolder.
I also have a refer-a-friend and a forgot password form -> with gmail users they both end up in the spamfolder, with hotmail users they both do not show up at all!
I read somewhere that editing the DNS zone could solve this problem with adding a SPF record (see also [url]).
I have added the most common SPF record "v=spf1 a ~all" as TXT record type but after a few days nothing has changed.
so all email send from the VPS to Hotmail/Gmail email accounts will directly be send into the inbox.

Jun 19, 2007I migrated a client from a Windows server to Linux and everything is fine except that mail sent to this client (say, example1.com) from a particular domain (say, example2.com) simply disappears and does not reach at all. Mail sent to that other domain (example2.com) from my new client (example1.com) is delivered correctly.
Incidentally, that other domain (example2.com) from which the mail is sent is with the hosting provider who was earlier providing services for my newly acquired client. Should I suspect anything? Or, is there a way to figure out what's happening?
I have MailScanner running on my VPS, but it isn't configured to filter at RBL level, only at Exim level, so I don't think this is the issue.

Nov 30, 2007We have a server, that we use to send to hotmail. The log says that the mail is send, but it do not reach hotmail.
We have set-up SPF record, reserve DNS and the IP’s is not spam listed. Anyone have any idea of what we are missing.
To awoid thise problems we have look a bit at senderscorecertified.com, but do any of you know if it is worth the money?

Jun 25, 2008For several months the Yahoo bot had been controlled to one visit per 40 seconds with a robots.txt page. Today it is not working and creating several page impressions per minute.
Has anyone seen any new advice on how to control this pesky creature?

Jun 19, 2008I have a vps with a site has phpbb2.
Before one month I migrated to another vps host.
In the old vps, the sending notfications such as reply new topic ( watch ), e-mail activations to new members notifications of the private messages were working very fine and each memeber which has valid e-mail will receiev these notifications from my forum.
The old vps using sendmail.
But the new one using qmail and it is will configured and the e-mail notifications are recieved which means that it is working except the ones who use hotmail accounts begin not recieve anything, the others e-mails are recieved well.
The files are the same, excpet the old uses sendmail, the new vps uses qmail.
After many days of searching how to solve this I decided to contact the support team.
They replied to me that they should do to overcome hotmail receive email problem, reverse PTR record needs to be added and to add SPF records under my domain's DNS zone.
They did and they told me to wait 24 hours, I waited for 4 days and it did not work.
I went back to them and again they look closely to my qmail configurations and it is fine and working and also they made an hotmail account to test and send e-mail form my mail server and it had been accepted which means that my domain and my new IP is not blocked by hotmail.
So their is nothing wrong excpet that email notifications from my phpbb it still won't go to members who have hotmail.
Very strange if the hotmail hates php mail scripts like phpbb why before in the old vps was like, and now suddenly hates.
