I upgraded to Plesk 9.2.1 and found that between the security upgrades they moved all the contents of /usr/local/psa/handlers to tmpfs, the problem is that I have a small swap file ( about 500 MB ) so all thos folders got inside that space, so far I´ve managed to make the tmpfs more than twice the original size, but mounted points ( /usr/local/psa/handlers/spool ) remains at the same size of 500 MB any idea how can I make this larger?

I cannot trace where the usage is coming from. There is only one account on this box using 26GB. Its a centos/cpanel box. I checked /var/log and had already deleted audit.d directory. /usr/local/apache/domlogs and logs show almost nothing.
I have been receiving these a couple time a day lately and not sure what to do or how to go about checking what might be overloading the server. IF this looks familiar to anyone, I'd appreciate some helpful tips. I'm still a novice, but can muddle my way around the server if given enough guidance. Here is the email I've been getting:

I guess my question is, how would I go about determining what is causing the excess load? Seems to happen even when not many folks are on my site.
RedHat Box running Sendmail 8.13.1, php 4.4.7, only 1 domain on it running the most recent vBulletin version and vBulletin has been successfully setup to run mail through GMail. The files in the domain directory have been cleaned up, ie. old unused files, etc.
Every night running into the same issue. Server goes on VERY high load due to sendmail. With hundreds of following processes:

I am a little confused, is the clientmqueue directory mail coming into the server or mail that is leaving the server?
If it is incoming mail to the server, is there a way to stop or minimize it's effects?
If it is outgoing mail, is there a way I can chase it's origin?
I would shut down sendmail, but there is 1 email address on the domain that receives mail.
Its been about 9 days since I launch new site.
75gb BW (bandwith) is used up. 24,000 page views so far.
Now I check and I am over the BW limit by at least 30gb.
I have to pay 50 cents additional for each gb.
Continuing the increasing bw spikes I realize it is not economically viable continuing for now, considering what I pay for original package.
The site has been down for at least 24 hours. My budget is rather tight at the moment being a student with full time loan. I did not realize VPS would continue even though bandwith limit has been reached.
I upgraded from 11 to 12 (centOS) and set outgoing mail limits for mailboxes, domains and subscriptions, as per the documentation at URL....However, it doesn't appear the limits are limiting outgoing mail. As I can still send far more mail than the current limit using a PHP script.

I need to setup 5 email accounts on my domain, each will use IMAP and store messages on server, so total space taken by each account will be 2-5 GB.
I have decided to go with eurovps.com as I'm close to them and ping is fast.
What is the best solution for IMAP and large email accounts: Linux Cpanel, Linux Plesk or Windows Plesk?
Each account will be accessed by 2 people differently by Thunderbird and occasionally by webmail, so nice webmail is a plus.
For some reason some clients including my own test account have not been able to receive emails correctly. Basically if I send email to an external add such as Yahoo, Gmail, AOL etc, they receive them fine. However all incoming mail is blank for all clients? I mean blank as it there is no time or date stamp, no sender details unless you look in the header and the title just displays unknown?
Has anyone an idea why or how this could have happened?
I've even tried these with all spam filters off etc. I think the mail prog is qmail.
Does anyone has knowledge or tutorial that works for CDONTS or JMAIL?

So I want to take a look at whats going on, what emails have been sent/received and are still in queue?
Can can I access my mail queue using Plesk? And then how can I delete them?

We have an AWS plesk instance with around 400 domains on. All domains DNS are pointing mail to a different server and almost all domains have a contact form on their website.
the problem is, the contact forms won't work as mail is on a different server. I'm assuming that the local server thinks mail is on the server and thinks it has already been received?
is this because we need to disable incoming mail for all of these domains? if so how would we go about doing this? I tried stopping all courier-imap services but this didn't seem to work.

Since upgrading to 12.0.18 i have picked up a strange problem when creating a new email account.The Mail tab is not displayed and does not allow me to create email accounts, in version 11.5 I also appeared tab. I have a little problem configuring the mail server in Plesk 12. I bought a VPS with Plesk 12 is hosted in OVH.es just for learning. I've got an external domain in OVH.es from 1and1.co.uk. The domain is properly configured and all is working well but the mail server.In OVH.es manager I can't create emails for an external domains (it is not allowed), only redirections. I suposse it is in zone DNS but I don't know how to do it.

On the server, there is installed a WordPress installation. Mail from this WordPress installation never reaches for example suscribers. Almost all mail remains in the Queue and will be deleted after 7 days. Could it be because I do not have an SSL Certificate? %
View 1 Replies View RelatedI switched off the mail service for one of my domains in that sites control panel a few days ago because there were some malicious files on my server sending out spam. I stopped the service until I cleared all the files that weren't meant to be there and then tried to restart the mail service again but it won't start.
I get this message 'Information: Mail service settings were successfully changed for the selected domains.' but the service stays off. I had the same problem on another site on the same server and carried out the same process but the mail service for that website started fine.
I installed Cloudflare for Plesk during this time and thought that might be causing an issue but after disabling this I still can't start the mail service for the domain.
Is there a section of the main (super admin) control panel that manages the mail services for each domain I am unaware of?

How do I restore emails to the new server? Can I simply copy /var/qmail/mailnames/domain.name from the backed up /var folder into the corresponding folder on the new server?
