Plesk Automation :: Cloud Server Hardware Node As Backup Server Node
Apr 11, 2015We have one Cloud Server hardware node that exists only as the backup location for containers and VMs in Cloud Server/PVA (it hosts no virtual servers). Can it also serve as a Backup Server Node?
A related question, in my case, is whether we can configure a Backup Server Node to use a particular drive/mount/directory, as we can with PVA? I couldn't find any info in the docs about any settings at all for the Backup Server Node.
Plesk 12.x / Linux :: SSL Email Certificate For Single Domain
Jul 3, 2014Outlook 2013 complains about the SSL certificate when using email. Installing the certificate still doesn't stop the error/warning. What are my options?
Can I install on the plesk server a self-signed SSL cert and avoid the issues?
Can I buy & install a single certificate for that one domain and resolve the issue but not affect others.
Do I need to buy a SAN certificate for the whole server?
BTW I'm running CentOS 6.5 and Plesk 12.

Jul 25, 2014How do we disable email on the domain entirely? The client is hosting email externally - the offered spam filtering is wholely inadequate and we're seeing a few of these happening - to the point I'm considering offering externally hosted email plans anyway - but back to the problem - I need to delete the mailboxes and then disable mail - and then remove the DNS records for webmail etc - but can't seem to find how to turn off locally hosted email for a domain.

May 16, 2014We are trying to add new service node but when we are trying to finish procedure we receive error: The usage of the resource "IP addresses" for subscription with ID "1" exceeds the value of "0".
We do not have a such subscription using ID "1". As I can see this is the ID in database for "Parallels Automation License Key", but it has unlimited license key and have already two nodes attached.

I have PBAS setup and have registered the PPA server with PBAS, the PPA Management Node is marked as ready to provide, I have added the appropriate attributes to the MN under Service Nodes, however according to PBAS I need to install the ppa_apache package (and probably others), and when I go to install the packages it's trying to install the ppa_agent package which is conflicting with ppa_core.

I followed the instructions, but mysql don't display my new server.

I deleted service node but the problem still remains.

Reading standard Postfix docs give basic instructions on how to direct a handful of domains through a mail relay but we want to direct every outbound email from all domains through our spam filter.

We want separate the consumers from the business variants on the service nodes.
I want to use webserver1, databaseserver1 and emailserver1 for consumer hosting and webserver2, databaseserver2 and emailserver2 for business hosting
I want to make two service templates, one consumer and one business template.
Is it possible to configure ppa : When we subscript a consumer template, everything must provision only on the consumer service nodes automatically (web01, db01 and email01) and not on the business services nodes.

Jun 30, 2014I'm attempting to run PPA on Azure but I only have one IP to work with, the public IP address. It's not possible to communicate between servers using the internal IP addresses as they are not necessarily on the same sub net. How can I get PPA and service nodes running on a single IP address per machine?
An example of the error I get when setting up a service node is
Failed to execute command 'cscript /Nologo http_download.js http://<private ip address>/tarballs/Win32Bin/support.cab'. Check logs in 'c:POA_Deploy' at host '<public ip address>' for more details about the reasons of failure.

May 16, 2008I have a problem where all email sent from uaccb.edu (studentmail.uaccb.edu [208.190.226.130]} is not arriving at my VPS. The people sending email from the above domain are not getting any errors, it is not being marked as spam, it is just being blackholed somehow.
I have checked the above IP and domain, and can't find it on any blacklist, and I am using pretty standard cPanel setup on my VPS. I have spam set to be marked and receive a fair amount and have it autorouted to a folder rather than auto-deleted.
From uaccb.edu, the only thing I have access to is Outlook Web Access to send test emails, and they are sent fine with no errors returned. If I send test emails to gmail and other similar email accounts, they go through fine, the only problem is to ANY domain hosted on my VPS. I have even recently transferred all the domains to a second VPS (with the same hosting company) at a different datacenter (for different reason) and the problem persists.
Is there any WHM setting or any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
Plesk 11.x / Linux :: SSL For Single Domain On Shared IP?
Aug 11, 2014Plesk Panel 11.5.30, on Centos 5.10. I have 2 'domains' running on the same ip; sub.mysite.com and mysite.com. I need to add SSL to sub.mysite.com.
From the documentation, [URL] ...., it appears that if the user is using a SNI compatible browser a single SSL certificate for sub.mysite.com should work (as I am using a linux server, SNI is enabled by default I believe).
However, the control panel for the domain (website & domains > hosting settings) states that "To employ SSL, move this site to a dedicated IP address, install an SSL certificate on the site, and then select it below." In addition, other documentation makes reference to a "Secure your sites" link on the control panel to implement a purchased SSL certificate, which is not visible to me - I presume because the domain is not on a dedicated ip address.
Can someone confirm that;
a) a SSL certificate for sub.mysite.com on a shared ip will work.
b) that the SSL for sub.mysite.com would managed at the server level (Server Management > Tools & Settings > SSL Certificates) rather than the domain's control panel.
One alternative may be to purchase a wildcard SSL certificate (*.mysite.com). This post [URL] .... suggests that this would work. However, this is a more costly option and does more that I need (i.e. delivers SSL for all domains).
I could also purchase a dedicated ip address for sub.mysite.com. I have no experience of moving domains within plesk from a shared ip to a dedicated ip. Is this a straightforward process?

Dec 17, 2014I have hired two servers for plesk and I have the mail configured in one server and the website in another one, it all seems to work fine except for a problem.
When the server where the website is tries to send a message through a smtp account it can´t send it, it seems to be looking for the mail server in the same server where the website is instead of look for it in the other server.
How to configure this so it works correctly?

May 26, 2015I have recently deployed PPA with on nodes with hostnames on the serverroom.net.au domain, so management.serverroom.net.au, mail.serverroom.net.au etc. The DNS is currently hosted on a plesk server which will soon be migrated to PPA.
When I add the serverroom.net.au domain to PPA, I it fails at the sync task with an error saying that there are no A or AAA records for ns1.serverroom.net.au, even when these records exist in the external DNS. The same error occurs when I try to add the domain as a dns entry and switch to internal...
