Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Webmail - Roundcube Not Working
Aug 18, 2014I installed PLESK12 (or better: I installed the distributed Debian-Image from my hoster) onto my server. Everything works fine as always - except webmail. I did the following:
- in the general webmail properties, I deactivated Horde. roundcube was active and still is (also tried to activate it again)
- I also activated roundcube as webmailer in the hosting itsel.
- tried to open webmail.mydomain.com --> site not found. I added a mail-adress and tried to use the icon to the webmail --> site not found.
- I restarted the server (maybe deactivation Horde did some stuff there...)... no changes.
PLESK 12 (latest update), running on Debian 7.6 ....

Feb 22, 2015In the list of available webmail clients there's only Horde. Why don't I have Roundcube? I thought it's preinstalled with Plesk 11.5 and higher.
When accessing Horde webmail, the page never loads till the end and all I get is the top menu, no e-mails.

Apr 22, 2015So I was trying to look up something from the horde Databases just to find that the full server backup that can be triggered in "tools & settings" -> "backup manager" does NOT include the horde and roundcube databases, even with "configuration and content" selected.
Sure, there are 7 days worth of daily backups in /var/lib/dumps but it would be nice to have those files included in the "full backup" Or am I missing something here?

Jun 26, 2014This is applies to both Horde and roundcube webmail client software;
Using Plesk 11.5.30 with Horde 5.1.5 or roundcube 0.9.5 on CentOS Linux release 6.5 (Final).
We have seen this behavior occur on multiple servers.
Clients experienced slow to no response after executing a search, which eventually results in a failed to communicate with the server-error in the webmail client.
The Apache server log shows script time-out errors when searching larger mailboxes (i.e. larger than 950 MB), this does not happen on smaller mailboxes.
We have seen errors like the following in the Apache server error log with Horde (personal data like IP-address and domain name are x'ed out):

Steps to reproduce:
- use a large mailbox (950 MB or higher)
- login to the webmail (Horde or roundcube)
- do a search in the search field on the top right
- the time-out error should appear in the server Apache error log (after at least 45 seconds)
This seems like an inefficiency or bug in the search query that searches the user's mailbox. Is there any other way we can prevent this issue and the error messages?

Nov 29, 2014I have used plesk 11.5 and never had problem before. I installed Plesk 12 and Migrated sites + created new email to test as well. When I go to webmail webmail.domain.com
I get the login screen from round cube which i want.
Then I enter login + password and I get 500 Internal Server Error.
Apache Server at webmail.domaincom Port 80
It worked fine on 11.5
Linux CentOS 6.6

Apr 11, 2015I updated two days ago the Plesk panel from the Panel itself and it was succesfully but at webmail URL which it appeared one error about default.inc something but after I did refresh some times it disappeared now it doesn't show anything. I tried removing and reinstalling roundcube but still doesn't work..

Plesk 11.x / Linux :: Webmail Horde - Showing Wrong Time
Jul 11, 2014I have a problem with webmail (horde). Horde Webmail show the wrong time, 2 hours to late. It look like that horde show the UTC time, but not the CEST "Europe/Berlin" of my server. I can change that over "preferences" -> "global preferences" -> "locale and time" and change "Your current time zone" from "Default" to "Europe/Berlin". This will now show the correct time (timezone), but this is not the solution because this will do all webmail users.
How can i change the default timezone in Horde?

Plesk 11.x / Linux :: Roundcube Login Form Autocomplete Overridden To Off?
Oct 13, 2014I'm running Plesk for Linux 11.5 and I'd like to allow autocomplete of the userid field from the Roundcube login screen, but when i make the changes to the config file, they are not applied. It looks like Plesk is overriding them.
I edited the /usr/share/psa-roundcube/config/main.inc.php file and set "$rcmail_config['login_autocomplete'] = 1;"
When I check (using Firebug) the source code of the login page, I notice that autocomplete is indeed first set to "on", but it changes to "off" nearly instantly. I suspect that some .js script (inserted by Plesk?) overrides this setting.
This behavior seems to be backed by a statement in Plesk 11.5's release notes:
"Autocompletion is turned off on the login dialog for security reasons"
Is there any way I can undo the override and still keep autocomplete="on" ?
Plesk 12.x / Linux :: After Migration - Email User Can't Login With Roundcube
Nov 24, 2014I have done the migration with the Migration Manager from Confixx to Plesk 12.0.18. Users can login tho the mail account with Outlook, thats no problem(old password is working). If the webmailer is set to Hord the user also can login. But if i switch to roundcube it is not possible to login to the Webmailer! You get the message "Die Anmeldung ist fehlgeschlagen." (Login failed)
After changing the email password in plesk, it is then possibe to login(even if the new password is identical to the old one)?!?
Is this a known bug? Is there a solution for that?!? I really don't want to email every customor to ask him to change his password?!

Jul 14, 2015I have a plesk12 webhost linux. We are having an issue about horde webmail. Weird because one of the email user cannot open email coming from specific email address and this is the message:
Error Message: Error when communicating with the server and There has been no contact with the server for several minutes. The server may be temporarily unavailabe or network problems may be interrupting your session. You will not see any updates until the connection is restored.
Now upon checking to the error logs of httpd, I found the ff:

Apr 1, 2015We are running Plesk 12 on centos 6 with roundcube 1.0.5 and dovecot with installed sieverules. All filters are working as expected except the auto responder.

I managed it to get working by changing the qmail deliver command by adding the preline:
| /var/qmail/bin/preline -f /usr/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-lda -d "$DELIVERED_TO"
Now the autoresponder works for most mails (try'd from iCloud and other mailservers) except gmail complaints about the syntax because of double <<>>:

Plesk 12.x / Linux :: RoundCube Password Change Plugin Not Working And Sieve Server Down
Sep 20, 2014So, the thing is that I have Parallels Plesk 12 installed on my server running on Ubuntu 14.04. The webmail we are using is roundcube and it has a plugin that allows users to change their passwords. Theoretically the plugin connects to psa database using poppassd. Aaand it almost works, because when you try to change the password and you enter the current password it detects it as good, but it tries to apply the new password it fails.I found this info but it didn't worked for me: URL....
On the other hand, when I open the "Filters" tab i get an "Unable to connect to sieve server".

Jun 13, 2014I am getting this error after installing the AfterLogic WebMail Pro_7 app on a domain.
I removed the app but AfterLogic still appears in the list of available Webmail options. I am getting the error even after changing all my domains to use Roundcube.

My backups since the day I installed that app are no longer valid.

Jan 8, 2015Today my clients are not able to send mail via webmail. The message below is received no matter what email address is placed in the To: field.
There was an error sending your message: Message could not be delivered - the address was not found, is unknown, or is not receiving messages.
I have re-started all services. Note that they are able to send via outlook. Seems to just be webmail.

Aug 31, 2007My server ran out of space lastnight which resulting in a MySQL shutdown on the server. After getting some of the stuff on the server moved to another one and MySQL back on, I cannot login to my Plesk panel. It worked fine before MySQL went down and of course wouldn't work at all (Even comeup) while MySQL was down. Now when I go to login, I get the correct login screen and fields and type in my stuff. After hitting enter, I get the following message:

VPS With WHM/cPanel Webmail - Login ... Then Login Fails
Jan 31, 2008Just got a new additional VPS with WHM/cPanel.
Browse to www.mydomain.com/webmail and get login box > login accepted and taken to Horde/Squirrelmail choice screen > choose Squirrelmail and get login box ... login not accepted! > Retry and choose Horde ... login not accepted!
The login is correct and the results are the same when logging in as root, or through /cPanel or /Webmail.

Mar 9, 2015I have more than 1 domain on my VServer and roundcube and all of its templates only allow me to modify webmail.domain.tld...so I can setup 1 website correctly but all the rest will have the wrong SSL cert.How can I setup different ssl cert for Webmail with Apache as Webserver and roundcube as webmailer? I think I should modify the vhost confs of roundcube into /etc/apache2/plesk.conf.d/webmails/roundcube/ but I did not find a working solution.

Mar 25, 2009I have a Windows 2003 server running Plesk 8.3, Mailenable with Horde IMP webmail client. I have installed Anti-Spam SMTP Proxy (ASSP) [url] on my server to counter SPAM.
I have configured it with the instructions found here - [url]This configuration works perfectly apart from one issue - whenever I try to send emails from my Horde IMP webmail interface, I get an error saying "unable to set sender to [emailaccount at domain]".
If I deactivate ASSP everything works fine.
I believe this is not an issue with ASSP since no one's complaining on ASSP forums. I posted this issue there and someone suggested it had something to do with how Horde IMP tries to send emails. I posted this to Horde's mailing list too but no one ever answered.
