Jul 21, 2015We made a reboot via Plesk to our dedicated server and all are working properly (ftp, emails) but we cannot see any domain's site on web explorers.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
Upon a shutdown or reboot, the system shuts down sw-collectd. Further along, it will end wdcollect and the following will occur:
init: psa-wdcollect main process (pid) killed by KILL signal
init: psa-wdcollect main process ended, respawning
wdcollect[pid]: Language en-US is used for sending e-mail messages.
wdcollect[pid]: Failed to connect to database server during the startup. New attempts will be made if needed.
wdcollect[pid]: Server started
I believe this is preventing the un-mounting of drives which in the end freezes the shutdown process on:

After this occurs, I have to force the VM off and then boot again.

May 6, 2014When I reboot my centOS 6.5 + Plesk 11.5 server, Nginx doesn't start and every time I need to go to Server > IP Addresses and click Reread IP.Then Plesk says that need to repair one of these ips, I click repair and then Nginx can start. ( I have 3 ips [2 ipv4 and 1 ipv6] )

Aug 22, 2014So Everything was going great! Until I needed to reboot, and then after that only Plesk panel worked not my IP or any domains setup with it.
BUT when I restart Nginx it all starts working again! (Had to /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all to get the domains to go to the right directory though)
But now everytime I reboot the server Nginx has to be restarted
Is this Normal?
I`m running Plesk 12 fresh clean install yesterday
CentOS 7 64Bit

Nov 10, 2014Two month ago I installed plesk 11.5 on my server (with centos 6 or 7 I don't remember) Then i added my domain.com by clicking on "Add New Domain" and using the auto dns system configuration. All worked great. During this period, Parallels Plesk was auto updating to 12.x 1 week ago, I restarted my server, and my website was down (I think because DNS problem with 12.x or ip problem or port closed...)
So I formatted my dedicated server, then I reinstall Parallels Plesk 11 (with centos 6) and the website worked great. Then I re-formatted my dedicated server, then I installed Parallels Plesk 12 (with centos 7) and the website did not work.
So I think the problem come from plesk 12
This is how I process to configure my website on plesk 12 :
1. This is a 1&1 domain and an OVH dedicated server.
So I configure DNS like that :
1rst name server : nsXXXXXX.eu
2nd name server : sdns2.ovh.net
2. On plesk, i click on "Add New Domain"
Capture : [URL] ...
3. I wait for DNS propagation but it doesn't work...

Aug 7, 2014Just upgraded from Plesk 11.5 to 12. (CentOS 6.4)
Everything is working but when I reboot the server using the Plesk CP it never comes back up. No CP, no domains, no SSH.
If I reboot it using the 1&1 CP it re-boots fine.

Plesk 11.09, Update #10.
I enabled Watchdog in Plesk.
It works fine.
However, it doesn't start up by itself after a server reboot.
I can start it manually with the following command:
/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/modules/watchdog/wd --start (which I have done by adding it to /etc/rc.local)
Shouldn't Plesk do this automatically?

May 20, 2014Recently upgraded to Plesk 11.5 & upgraded to the latest CentOS kernel. Whenever I reboot the server DNS services do not work, can't view any websites hosted on the server etc.
Once I either restart BIND through Plesk Panel or

Everything works perfectly.
My var/log/boot.log shows named started [OK]
When I run

# service named status
Immediately after reboot everything looks normal, despite not resolving DNS until restarted.
I ran

# ceckconfig --list
And both httpd & named services are displaying all 'off' on every runlevel. But, obviously named service is starting automatically, maybe by psa?
Should httpd & named be listed as on, is this the problem?
Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Sites Offline While It Runs Perfect After Reboot
Apr 2, 2015I run a centos 6 plesk 12 server with around 7 domains.All runs perfect untill a 3 hours ago. The server was offline.After reboot plesk starts up without a problem but the sites keep offline. While httpd and mysqld and psa runs perfect.Also cannot find error messages in the messages, error_log or anything. How to proceed debugging?

I use pingdom to alert me when sites go down. It would happen only once every few weeks, and I'd just reboot the VPS from my provider's control panel, however in the last 24 hours it has started doing it more and more often. The only change I have made in this time is to delete a few unused web sites.
When I get alerted, I check the the domains and they won't load. I look at the plesk control panel page thought and that does work.
I can SSH in, but I can't see anything that might work in the messages log.
I removed the plesk control panel error as that only seemed to happen once and is not happening anymore.
I saw quite a few entries in the /var/log/secure log and so I added iptables rules to only allow SSH access from my own IP and to DROP all other requests. It seemed fine for a while, but after 12 hours it has started becoming unresponsive again until reboot.
Monitor Site/VPS & Watchdog Timer Reboot
May 22, 2008I'd like to have some way to monitor the operation of a windows web server on a VPS.
There is watchdog timer software that you can install which will reboot the VPS should your application hang. Any recommendations here would be appreciated.
However, I am more concerned with having some type of watchdog monitor the system (or the web site hosted by the application) to monitor if the application has crashed because the OS has crashed (in which case the watchdog timer from the previous paragraph would not be working) and to be able to have it automatically reboot the VPS should the site be down. Suggestions to software or methodology here would be useful.
I am considering using Godaddy Windows VPS. Given the above monitoring, is that a usable choice, or would you recommend something else. I need Windows, 512Mb guaranteed for my application.

Oct 26, 2014I'm trying to view my sites using the "Quick Preview on a domain name in Plesk" setting. I notice that it modifies that domain's DNS records to include the IP with dashes, however when I attempt to preview any of the sites hosted, I get "server not found" from my browser. The URL is the correct syntax, but cannot seem to access the site.
I've tried turning DNS off and on for each hosted site, but this doesn't seem to make any difference.

May 27, 2015When using `plesk bin --update domain.example.com -certificate-name 'certificate'`, Plesk always returns `Unable to find certificate`, I have verified the certificate exists using `plesk bin certificate -l -admin` and the spelling of the certificate name is correct. I can use the WebUI to associate the certificate to the site and have verified it works, however I need to automate this task.
Also, the online documentation for the `plesk bin site` command does not mention the `-certificate-name` option, however it is listed when running `plesk bin site -h`.

The weird thing is when I put the files into a subdirectory (eg www.example.com/home /) the site itself shows correctly. But when I put the files back into the document root folder(eg httpdocs) it doesn't show correctly. Also no css or javascript error messages show up in the chrome debug window?
Plesk 11.x / Linux :: Selected Site On Default IP Via HTTPS
Jun 16, 2014I have Plesk 11.5 installed on my server. There are about 30 sites on the same shared IP address. I need to set up a site to be accessible via https://<ip-address-of-the-server> . According to the documentation I went to Setting -> IP Addresses and selected the desired site from the drop down. Now http://<ip-address-of-the-server> (note, 80th port) works like a charm. Unfortunately https:// displays only the first page of the selected site; all CSS, JS and other files are not found (404).
I did some research and found that Nginx forwards the requests to Apache for all the PHP files and tries to handle all the static files by itself (what is expected and correct). But it looks like that there is no special configuration for nginx which would specify where to get these static files for the IP address, and Nginx just uses the first loaded config (started from b in my case).
I temporary resolved this issue by modifying the last_nginx.conf for the desired domain this way: listen XX.XX.XX.XX:443 default_server ssl;
Note I added "default_server" directive. Of course it would be erased on each reconfiguration of the config files, but as for now I do not see how I can put it in custom nginx.conf or on the server servel level. I reckon Plesk should include the directive in the file the same way as it produces last_httpd_ip_default.conf Apache config for the selected domain. It looks to be an easy fix on the template level, may be I will do it later, but for now this is just the bug report.

Site isolation settings don’t have any effect.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Configure the following in site_isolation_settings.ini:
php = on
php_handler_type = fastcgi
Create a service plan without the permission for "Setup of potentially insecure web scripting options that override provider's policy". Create a customer with subscription and assign the service plan.
ACTUAL RESULT
The customer is able to switch between “CGI-Application”, FastCGI-Application and “Apache-Module”.
EXPECTED RESULT
Customer should not have the permissions to switch the "PHP support"...
Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Site Isolation Settings For PHP Handler Type Ignored
Dec 23, 2014On a server which was running for years now and was updated from plesk 10 to plesk 11 and also to plesk 12 (12.0.18 Update #29) there seems to be a bug.
Customers are able to change PHP handler while in site_isolation_settings.ini it is not allowed:
php_handler_type = fastcgi
PSA service was restarted too:
/etc/init.d/psa restart
This is a serious issue because customers should not be able to change PHP handler type.
Only abonnements created with older Plesk versions are affected. I cannot say which version exactly because server had installed Plesk 10, 11 and 12. What do we have to modify to disallow changing the PHP handler type for this abonnements created with Plesk versions befor Plesk 12?
Plesk 11.x / Linux :: All Site Showing Default Page After Upgrading From 10.4.4 To 11.0.9
Jul 14, 2012I upgraded from 10.4.4 to 11.0.9 and saw no errors in the process, everything was fine. However when I checked the sites after, all of them (including sub-domains) were showing the default domain page. All the files are still there no problem, and as a test I deleted a subdomain a recreated it and it worked fine.
I have a feeling it's something to do with IP addresses (I currently have two set up - most sites use one and about only 5 use the other) as going to the subscription and changing the IP address over to the other one then back to the original seems to make the site show up for most sites. I can't do this on all sites though - any commands to reconfigure everything and get it all back in to place?

Dec 15, 2014When you delete a site backup from its "Backup Manager" Panel, it is removed and no longer displayed in the Panel. However, I cannot tell if this action actually does anything with the real site backup files in "/var/lib/psa/dumps". Does this action merely remove it from PSA's database but not touch any actual files? If this is true, then how are site backup files supposed to be managed if this action doesn't actually delete them?
