Been a Plesk user since 8.6, and have to admit the new interface in 10.x and 11.x is taking some getting used to.
First gripe is why is the dropdown list of Webspaces not in any order? I have lots of different webspaces for different customers, and its just in one unorganized list.
Can we change this?
I want to add a submenu under navigation with link to a page on external website, how can I do that?
It allows submenu to the pages on my website only.
I'm migrating all of my websites form one server to a new one. And everything is working as planned with the plesk migration manager. But with my last website i'm having some problems and getting this error:

I installed plesk 12.0.18 on some servers all is running ok but in one server after update the new feature to limit outgoing mail is missing. I installed ModSecurity Web Application and is missing too.Panel is not on Power User mode

I have also installed a new Plesk 12 license key to make sure that the license allows Fail2Ban. It says now that Fail2Ban is "On". But I can not find the menu entry to get to the Fail2Ban configuration. It is simply not there... (it is supposed to be in the Securitiy menu in the Tools and Settings section...)
When I click /admin/server-protection/settings/ It takes me to the main page with a message saying

Plesk 11.5.30 all latest updated installed is used with Power-User view on an Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 Bit system.
The Plesk Interface is working well in general. But if the customer clicks on "Webspaces" -> Add Webspace they run in a:

I'm a beginner in Plesk Panel and I've a "concept" question. So, which are the differences between Websites & Domains and Webspaces? There's some documentation about the definition of this three objects?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just used rsync to backup a dedicated server to a new cloud server. I put the files in a plesk webspace 'Backup' folder for ease of use (gui). In File Manager for that webspace it shows the folder user and group as root, which is obviously correct as rsync maintains users etc?
Thats fine, I just wanted to be able to back them up along with the rest of the server configuration and content.
However, when I run backup it says "For security reasons, backing up is performed on behalf of subscription's system user. This system user has no read access to:" and "So it was not backed up. All other data was backed up successfully. To fix this issue you may grant access read/write to the file or directory for system user "(username)" or "apache"."
I don't know how to give read/write access to the system user? Through file manager there is no option to change permissions.
When I create a webspace for the main account holder (web host) , I get the following error when I click on "Manage Hosting" ?

i have already an dedicated server, but with an strong traffic limit, so i search webspace (filespace) for my thumbnail images, the space is only for the images, no php scripts or databases are needed just imagespace.
the hoster should tolerate adult content, and have no problem with 500gb bandwith per month. Paypal should be accepted as payment.
its important for me that the webhoster follow their offers and dont kick me if i use high bandwith....

1.) I believe that if you edit the .htaccess file in Apache, you can create a Log-In page of sorts to prevent people from going beyond your domain/IP address without logging in.
But can I do that with a web-host like GoDaddy on a shared account?

Latest Update 12.0.18 Update 12 appears to have removed PHP 5.4 and PHP 5.5 from my dropdown under hosting settings.
The only PHP that is left is PHP 5.3
Yet, the updates and upgrades page still lists PHP 5.4 and PHP 5.5 as installed.
Also PHP is still working on the virtual websites that were previously enabled with either 5.4 or 5.5, but not able to change using the Plesk Panel.
Given that Parallels has broken the Panel in that latest automatic update I'd hope it can be resolved ASAP.
I can't even find any references in the KB about Plesk 12 on Windows regarding PHP versions
I can even give feedback about the broken patch as every feedback channel requires paid support.

Prior to using plesk, I had a few sites that had SSL certificates installed, the old fashioned way (manually through IIS). I have now setup those domains in plesk, and I need to somehow make PLESK aware of these SSL certificates.Right now, I setup the domain in plesk, give it a dedicated IP, and allow SSL connections. It chooses the default certificate and my already installed in IIS SSL certificate isnt listed.
Is there any way I can get it listed? I went to the add an SSL area, and it seems that this area is only good for generating new SSL certificates, but mine is good for another 1+ years.The bummer is that for some reason, anytime I make any type of change to the site in plesk, that it seems to overwrite the SSL bindings and changes my manual changes to the correct certificate (through iis) back to the default certificate.

Currently Port 587 is totally Not Working which is getting a few of my clients quite upset. This is due to the fact that their stupid ISP actually blocked off ALL access to Port 25.
