Plesk 11.x / Linux :: Server Domain 302 Redirects To Hosted Domain - How To Undo
Nov 16, 2014
When I hit my server's domain it redirects me to one of the hosted sites' domain with a 302 redirect. It used to return the default plesk server page. How can I cancel the redirect?
I am running a CentOS 6.5, 64-bit server with Plesk 12.0.18, and need to install a wildcard SSL for one of the domains/sub domains hosted on this server.
So you have the csr and private key installed (and domain.crt?), you just need to open..
My problem is, when I attempt to access a seperate webspace's control panel login through webspace2.com:8443 it automatically redirects me to https://hostname.com:8443.
If however I go to https://webspace2.com:8443 this redirect does not happen and I can log straight in through this domain.
Ideally I need to keep these domains separate and need to remove this non-https redirect that is currently happening.
When I create a CNAME record for domain, and then trying to load it, it goes to default website. It was working fine before, all old CNAME records are working fine.
Tried reconfigure-all but it doesn't fix the problem. I'm using 11.5.30 Update #44
All will be hosted on the same server (same IP) and I want all to be secured, through a SIGNED certificate, not a self signed. I assumed that wildcard ssl would be fine for this, but I just took a look and it's only for subdomains: example.example.com hello.example.com.
Is there any way of having every subdomain and domain secured, using ssl, through one certificate? I don't want to have to buy individual certificates for every domain, that'd be... expensive.
I enter one of my IPs or the hostname belonging to this IP, followed by the Plesk port, and I get redirected to the "main" hostname of the server, which was set in Plesk. But at this moment that hostname is used by another server (my old server) and so I'm redirected to the other server and cannot access Plesk on the new server.
I don't know why Plesk reacts like this, because it did not on the old server. Here the problem more detailed:
I'm just configuring my new server with Plesk 11. My old server uses Plesk 10. On my old server / in Plesk 10 I have the following scenario:
- I have several IPs (10) - Each IP is used for a different domain - Each IP has it's domain as the reverse entry (configured outside of the server/Plesk) - Each IP is set to "Dedicated" in Plesk - I set Plesk to listen only on one of these IPs (and different port) - Several domains are created in Plesk, but not a domain for my Plesk IP - The server's name is one of the domains (required for mails not being recognized as spam) - The hostname of the Plesk IP is one assigned by my provider (something like x-x-x-x.xyzservers.com) - Entering the IP of Plesk redirects to the "Plesk hostname" => Plesk can be accessed by using x-x-x-x.xyzservers.com:myport
And under Plesk 11 (here comes the problem):
- Still several IPs (but less: 4) - One IP should be used for Plesk, one for domain X, one for domain Y and the last one for the other domains - Reverse entries are x-x-x-x.xyzservers.com for Plesk IP, domain X/Y for two other IPs and the main domain for the last IP - Plesk IP and the two single domain IPs are configured as dedicated, the last one as shared - At this point I did not configure any domains in Plesk - Server's name is the same as my old server (the main domain) => Entering any IP with the Plesk port redirects to the servers hostname, e.g. my main domain, which is still on the old server. => Result: I cannot access Plesk!
Of course I could just change the hostname of the server via SSH (just have to find out how to do this), but why does Plesk react in another way now? Or is the problem that I cannot change Plesk to listen on only one IP?
I've tried to enable https on a domain /server: vpn, debian 6.0.10, plesk 12.0.18/ but all I receive is a 403 forbidden error. I can't find any other related option, what could be the problem?
I am trying to transfer a domain from the server for Plesk 11.5 to 12 system is SUSE 13.1. After restoring the manager from within Backup getting errors:
Warning: python is not supported. It will be disabled for the following objects: xxxx.xx Warning: domain "xxxx.xx" Failed deployment of mail user bbbbb@xxxx.xx Warning: Execution of /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/api-cli/mail.php --create bbbbb@xxxx.xx -passwd '' -passwd_type sym -mailbox true -mbox_quota -1 -aliases add:bbbbb -forwarding false -ignore-nonexistent-options failed with return code 1.
I have upgraded to a new server and need to move all domains, users, and most important all email accounts to the new server.
Both servers run Plesk 11.0.9 on CentOS. The migration manager works great, no problems with that.
After migrating, I change my DNS settings at an external DNS provider to the new IP. The problem is, DNS changes take time. I then get emails on the old server and on the new server until DNS information is spread.
I was searching for a way to let the old server forward to the new one, but changes for specific domains in plesks DNS system (MX record) on the old server did not work. The mails still arrived at the old server.
What can i do? Can I uncheck "Activate mail service on domain" and will all emails be rejected until DNS points to the new server? Or will that lead to bounces?
I wonder if there is any chance to change the domain that is being shown as the incoming/outgoing mail server to users of the Plesk Panel, when clicking on the "Info"-Icon near an e-mail-account in the mail list (see screenshot).
We only have a SSL certificate for one domain and want our customers to use this domain in their mail client settings, so that the client trusts the domain.
I have a .fr domain purchased from Gandi.net. I have webhosting with GoDaddy.com.
After setting the DNS to point to GoDaddy.com (ns51 and ns52...) I get an error message and the DNS revert back to the default settings (gandi's DNS). AFNIC's(.fr regulator) zonecheck fails with the following error:
I'm using a shared host that provides good service and support, but there's one major issue I discovered recently:
Other sites hosted on their server are accessible through my domains and subdomain. For example:
Account2 on their server can be accessed through:
[url] [url]
Host says:
"Because everything is Name-based, apache decides what directory is going to be used based upon the name that is provided. However, because the username is valid, it treats it as a vaild URL and redirects it to your site. There is no security issue, as this is just the way apache’s configuration works."
Is it really normal? Does the same happen on all apache servers? I think SE's would treat the other pages as mine, no?
We just moved a domain to a Canadian host. We want to make sure that the domain is actually hosted in Canada, how can we go about doing that? I thought of doing a standard traceroute, but usually the bandwidth is coming from the US, so at what point is it considered "Canadian hosted"?
I am trying to redirect a request from a non-hosted domain, using a rewrite rule in our configuration file in conf.d. Our registrar has a pointer from this non-hosted domain to our domain.
I have a server that I use to host my primary domain, and I have a cople Plesk servers, now I updated the hostnames of all the servers like
Code: s1.de.myserverplace.de
Now when the plesk server sends a mail it goes in spam always,
In the SPF records of the primary domain sits this
Code: myserverplace.de. IN TXT "v=spf1 a mx a:myserverplace.de a:s1.de.myserverplace.de ip4:148.251.100.157 ip4:144.76.163.46 ip6:2a01:4f8:201:81b8::60 ?all"
But when I actually send the mail in the headers of the received mail I get this.
Code: Received: from s1.de.myserverplace.de (s1.de.myserverplace.de. [144.76.163.46]) by mx.google.com with ESMTPS id p2si2158952wjy.73.2015.05.14.04.09.17 for <mymailtestacount@gmail.com> (version=TLSv1.2 cipher=ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 bits=128/128);
i have a vps and although i can send mails without problem from my main root account, sending via any of the child accounts created for customers results in their email being picked up as spam (in hotmail at least).
To clarify, mydomain.com is my main name. Email can send without problem,
customersdomain.com, hosted on the same machine, when sending emails they are picked up as spam. The mx dns entries in the zone file are set (by default to) customersdomain.com. and for all the child domains customer1domain.com. etc.
Do i need to ask the datacenter to add a reverse dns entry for mail.mydomain.com?
Is this an issue with the mx records for the hosted domains? Should i change the hosted domaims mx entry on the customers domains to mail.mydomain.com?
I know the ip isnt blacklisted because exactly the same email goes through when sending from the mydomain.com email addresses.
For a Magento shop I want assign a dedicated IP to a domain. When I choose this second IP in “Subscriptions” --> Change Hosting Settings” and then select this IP under “Tools and Settings --> IP Addresses” as dedicated (or shared too) for this domain, calling the domain results in the Webserver´s default Plesk Page.
The Shopsite is not shown, but was working well with the shared standard IP.
Calling the IP directly with the browser shows the start page of the shop in raw HTML ( no CSS ).
Choosing a link results in a “Not found” page.
I am trying to change the default php settings under domain (upload_max_filesize & post_max_size) but nothing happens. I am running PHP 5.5 in FastCGI. I also changed it to Centos default PHP (5.4.16) but nothing happens again. It only works when PHP runs as Apache module. The problem is on FastCGI Application.
My server: Centos 7, Plesk 12 Check the screenshot for installed components.
Plesk 12. Using the "Corporate/Business" -> "Power User view".
Where do you add a Domain Alias? The webspace has no option to add this and all documentation I've found so far seems to indicate there should be a button that says add domain or add domain alias.
There is some problem with my email and developer tell me this yesterday:
To view DNS records for a domain you need to (after loging in as admin) click on the domain name, then choose DNS Settings. Mx record is configured correctly there, but they are not taken into consideration.
You should change the nameservers from the registrar to the nameservers of your hosting. Right now the following are used: ns-canada.topdns.com. hostmaster.topdns.com .
They should be either the nameservers received from the hostings, or if you did not received any then you will have to create them, on the registrar side and on your hosting side.
So you should go to your registrar and change the nameservers for your domain. Do not just change the ip for the main A record. After you do this you will need to wait a while for the changes to propagate.
On my registrar have i set in my server ip but when him do a test here: [URL] ....
I want to setup a domain alias without www in front of it. A quite simple task in the past...but not with Plesk 12. So I have a service domain (for example: service.com) that I use for ALL clients. But each client has only a subdomain of it as alias in his account. so client1.service.com, client2.service.com....and so on. And only that subdomain...nothing more...for each account. How to achieve that in Plesk 12?
