View 6 RepliesIn lxadmin currently no domain is set as default domain and what would happen if I set one of the site as a default domain? What changes can be noticed and will there be any kind of effect on that particular domain?
View 0 Replies View RelatedI recently set up an eas and autodiscover sub-domains on my main domain (eg myserver.com) running Plesk, Webmail etc, and is the default website for the ip.
So it should be..
myserver.com (not SNI default for IP)
eas.myserver.com (SNI)
autodiscover.myserver.com (SNI)
But I notice the actual default site (non SNI) is the sub-domain autodiscover.myserver.com.
I checked in
Plesk -> Tools & Settings -> IP Addresses
and that was set correctly, so I tried to change it and back again, then...
/opt/psa/admin/bin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all
Neither worked.
I'm running Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS and Plesk 11.5.30 #48 (the latest MU)
Is it possible to set default value for 'Preferred domain' in domain hosting panel ?
For example we want for each new created domain + aliases to be redirected to www.domain.tld, so 'Preferred domain: www.domain.tld'
When typing my ip it used to go to Plesk landing page.
Then through the option: server > tools > IP Addresses, I changed the "Default site" to my main domain, however, it just points to the main page, and not changes the url to the domain (keeps the ip in title, and not show the domain url).
How to make it forwarded to the domain (show it in the address bar), and not just to the index page?Â
I don't know why but a domain is showing the green default cpanel page instead of its own homepage. The domain has been hosted on this box for a long time.
DNS is fine, ran udpateuserdomains without error. No dns changes have been made. IP it is set to pings fine. Tested via 3rd party proxy, shows green cpanel page still.
Shows proper IP in httpd.conf
I have found through the KB the way to do it server wide but I was wondering if there was still a way to reset default domain permissions per domain.
/usr/local/psa/bin/repair --restore-vhosts-permissions - to restore all domain permissions.
Is it possible to know how can I setup the DKIM default for each domains without manually activate it each time?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've just purchased a VPS with Ubuntu 14.04 and Plesk 12 Web Admin Edition. I will use the vps to host just one domain/website. The first time I access Plesk, it asks for some info and first of all it asks form my domain. The default value is localhost.localdomain. Should I leave the default value or should I enter my domain (let's say example.com)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to change the default value of the "Preferred domain" option in the hosting settings of domains in Plesk 11.5? When ever i create a new subscription/domain it just defaults to the value of "domain.ltd" and i have to go into the hosting settings and manually change it to "None". Is there a way i can set it to use the "None" option every time i create new subscriptions or domains?

Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ Server
If you can see this page, then the people who manage this server have installed cPanel and WebHost Manager (WHM) which use the Apache Web server software and the Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) successfully. They now have to add content to this directory and replace this placeholder page, or else point the server at their real content.
How can I modify that page ONLY for ROOT accounts and not my resellers?
where i can change the default plesk page when a domain has been suspended or disable? I like to change it to my custom page. Is there a way?

Tried reconfigure-all but it doesn't fix the problem. I'm using 11.5.30 Update #44
i have a domain registered within PLESK having the same name as the server itself. After a short period of time the domain shows up the PLESK default page instead of the original content located in the vhost httpdocs directory.
To restore the content it's possible to deactivate and re-activate the domain from the customers control panel. But after an amount of time the default page comes back.I first recognized the error after the update to PLESK 12.
I have several domains configured in my Plesk, and one of them is set as the "Detault site" under Home >> Tools & Setings > IP address management. This has the unpleasant side effect that any domain I point to this IP renders content from the Default site unless it's setup. How can I configure the default site to render content from only one domain?

I've added the line DirectoryIndex Default.aspx to the .htcaccess in my home directory in cPanel, btw.
Update: nevermind, my idiotic team member registered a Linux plan instead of a Windows plan, sorry for the disturbance.
How can I configure "Backup manager" to clear checkbox "During the backup process, website visitors will be redirected to the custom error document page with the search engine friendly 503 HTTP code" for default (for subscribers, customers, etc.)
View 1 Replies View RelatedOnly one domain suddenly out of the blue is not receiving emails via web or pop3.
- deleted / recreated email
- eximup forced
- domain exists in trueuserdomains, localdomains but not in remotedomains (shouldn't)
- restarted pop server
Mail works fine on the various other domains on this box
cpanel/centos
What could be the cause? Site works fine, made no server edits.
EXIM logs show this for example

when I ask a hosting company to take over the domain and hosting of another supplier, what happens with the emails during the transfer ? If the client has his mails set up at his current hosting, how does the new hosting accept the mails once it is transfered? Will there be a period when no emails arrive? And do we lose them?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI can get emails to admin@mydomain.com, but i really wanted to alias it so emails to admin@www.mydomain.com go to the same account. MX records for www.mydomain.com and mydomain.com both go to mail.domain.com. .
This is on a dedicated server, centos, with exim doing the email handling.
I was thinking maybe it would be like an alias of some sort, or somewhere to put a list of combinations i can accept email for.
We are only a small construction business in NEW Zealand, and send very few emails. But from the 4th April, Yahooo has started blocking all emails from our domain name?
We hve not done bulk newsletters, we have not had bulk reject messages. Our website/ email host is Clevernet.
YAhoo NZ have sent us a bulk email form, which Clevernet submitted. We then had to get another approved server form filled out by Cleverney which they did last Friday, but our email domain is still blocked.
Xtra/ Yahoo NZ< seem to think there is nothing they can do, but wait and see if Yahoo unblock it. There does not seem to be anyone who we can contact at the Yahoo server. NZ say they cant contact anyone at Yahoo. We seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place.
When I send anyone an email from me@mydomain.com it keeps going into their junk mail box. So many people I email don't know that I sent them anything.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy server currently has 500 set for this parameter. However, I have some scripts that send out reminders and the number of emails will certainly exceed this limit. So this leads to some questions...
What will happen if my scripts try to send out more than the limit?
What happens when the limit is exceeded? Do the scripts "crash", or do they just keep running? Do the "over quota" emails just get discarded or do they get queued?
How does this affect performance? Or maybe it doesn't?
Does the email queue get clogged up if it has too many emails?
What could be bad about increasing the limit - say to 2000? Would this create performance problems for my server?
I have a couple sites that I'm hosting and I would prefer to keep the limit of 500.
However, how can I increase the limit for my own scripts (domains)?
Or, perhaps this option has nothing to do with performance and it's strictly in place as a security measure to prevent hosted accounts from spamming.
I searched for information concerning this issue and couldn't find anything. The cPanel/WHM forum doesn't say what the parameter is for, just how to set it.
how to go about moving old mails and forwarding new ones from my yahoo mail, without the yahoomail plus option.
