How To Modify Cpanel Default Page When Domain Is Pointing To Server
When a domain name is pointing to our server and the account is not setup yet, there's a default page that says:"

How can I modify that page ONLY for ROOT accounts and not my resellers?

Domain Shows Default Green Cpanel Page
I don't know why but a domain is showing the green default cpanel page instead of its own homepage. The domain has been hosted on this box for a long time. DNS is fine, ran udpateuserdomains without error. No dns changes have been made. IP it is set to pings fine. Tested via 3rd party proxy, shows green cpanel page still. Shows proper IP in httpd.conf

Domain Name Server DNS Pointing
Hello all, hope someone can help. I have a domain incl. hosting (fanferwalde.com) and three extra domain names, fanferwalde.nl , fanfalingasate.com , fanfalingasate.nl (all three without hosting) who I want to point to fanferwalde.com. Before I bought the extra domains I asked the provider if I could point the extra domains to the “head” domain (fanferwalde.com). Yes, that was possible they said so I bought the extra domains. I asked the provider to help with the configuration to point them to the head domain but they refused, I must do it by myself…………………….. There is no possibility they do it when I pay extra for it so I feel pressed to take also a hosting for the extra domains; then I can make a redirect on each index page. All domain names have an own DNS control panel. I have full access to this. The first picture is the DNS from the head domain. The second picture is the DNS from one of the extra domains I want to point to the head domain. What must I put where so the website from fanferwalde.com will appear when I write fanferwalde.nl in the browser? THANKS in advance!!! (Sorry for my bad English, I’m Dutch)

Apache Default Page
Our servers Shared IP seems to be loading the first domain name in the httpd.conf file as the servers default page. I want to change the default page to either our main domain or to the apaches "success!" default webpage. We're using cpanel. I'm unsure why it's loading the first domain when you load the IP. It used to load properly but for some odd reason stopped working. I suspect a cpanel update was the culprit.

CPanel: Modify Or Create An Account
I've just run upon a problem while trying to go into my phpMyadmin from within my MySQL Databases icon. When I try to log into phpMyadmin I get this message: Quote: "This feature is not available while logged in with root override. You are logged in with the root, or reseller's password. Please login with this user's account password." Also, as soon as I log into cPanel I receive a red "Warning: You are logged in using the reseller or root password." Yes, I am logging into the only account I have. When logging in with the initial account I created I can view the MySQL dbs that I have created, but I don't have access to phpMyadmin - I get that error message. This is new because for the last two weeks - about as long as I've had this server - I have had no problem even signing in with the same user id and password. Suddenly it won't let me in. So what do I need to do? I created a new account, but I can't see my MySQL dbs with that new account. I don't know how to modify my one existing account so that I can access phpMyadmin. Any thoughts? I hope I've been clear.

What To Do About Another Domain Pointing Toward Your IP
We recently moved one server to a colo provider and were issued new IP's. One IP is causing us trouble. We have been getting blocked from sending email to AOL and other free email companies. When we contacted AOL we were told that they had received complaints about our IP and it was blocked. Upon doing a RBL check and IP check, it seems that the former owner of our IP is still pointing his domain via eNom to our IP and had at one time sent spam. If you reverse DNS our IP's. bad domain -> our IP our domain -> our IP We contacted the eNom legal department (bad domain's registrar) about the problem. They responded that they could not do anything about it, only the registrant could. The spammy domain registrant obviously does not respond to our contacts. What is the best course of action?

(Background) Looking for some advise on domain pointing currently I have a UK server hosting my billing system which is replicated each evening over to my US server I want to sub domain my primary domain to uk.yourdomain.com & us.yourdomain.com As redundancy I would also like uk.yourdomain.com to point to the US server should the UK one fail - giving me redundancy, I figure in the next few months I can do this on our AU - creating au.yourdomain.com and replicating our billing system to that datacenter too. (question) - can this been setup and configured from server level, ie on my primary server WHM dns zones OR should this be created on a registrar level?

Someone Else's Domain Name Is Pointing To Mine
I'm designing a site, www.streetsmartscooters.com, to (obviously) sell scooters. Just yesterday I saw on my Google Analytics that people were getting to my site by searching for X-treme X-10, a particular brand and model of scooter. I typed the keywords into Google to see what my rankings were, and I was on the fourth page. But the green URL in the search listing showed up as mamafocka.com. When you go to mamafocka.com, it's all the same information as my website, and changes I make through my FTP login update immediately. If you go to streetsmartscooters.com, you can click on the "Electric Scooters" link on the left nav and it will keep you on mamafocka, but give you the exact same page as on streetsmartscooters (I set that particular link to be relative in the includes file). My site is hosted on a Windows 2003 virtual server from GoDaddy. SelfSeo.com says that mamafocka.com and streetsmartscooters.com both have the same IP - 208.109.99.16. I just signed up for a dedicated IP address tonight from GoDaddy, but I'm not sure how long it takes to propagate. Will getting a dedicated IP fix this problem, or have I wasted 6 bux? Is there any way to block that domain name from pointing to my site? It doesn't look to my novice eyes like this is a redirect. Also, I installed FreeFind on the site earlier this week, I believe. Could somebody have messed with something through that?

Pointing Domain From Yahoo To Go Daddy Servers
I have a customer who registered his domain name with yahoo he now wants to point that domain to a hosting account that I have started for him at GoDaddy. Should be simple but it has been anything but. He has emailed Yahoo several times with no response, he has called their tech-line only to be told he needs to email them instead. We finally figured out through GoDaddy that Yahoo registers through Melbourne IT. He has tryed calling Melbourne they are in turn asking for a 12 digit registration number that my customer does not have. Melbourne told him he needs to get this from Yahoo, Yahoo says they do not give registration numbers out. This leaves my customer with only 2 options, either register a brand-new domain through GoDaddy or go with Yahoo for hosting. Has anyone else experienced this? Did you ever finally get through and get things transfered?

I have a domain aaa.com that has a page on it. It used to work fine. I added another domain bbb.com and both were working well. Today, I discovered that no matter if I go to aaa.com or bbb.com, it always shows bbb.com. I didn't try to do something like that and don't want to. Installed Apache And PHP Only Seeing Default Apache Page
I am having an issue where I have a server that Directadmin is installed on. I go to the a url that is on the server and all i see is the default page of apache saying congrats, it is installed. Although there is no file like that in the public_html any longer and I can see my files in the public_html folder of that specific site.

Ive noticed that with a lot of hosts, usually the bigger ones, if there is no index file, that it shows a default page type thing in the main directory only. Something like "This is your default page. To get rid of this page, Upload an index file", etc. Usually has the host's logo, etc. How do people go about doing this? I've not been able to figure it out as of yet...

My customer's language is portuguese. On my VPS have cpanel with X and X3 theme. When I create a new account with X3 theme, cpanel default langage is english. CPanel NS IP Addresses Shared With Default IP Address
I'm setting up a cPanel server and have an initial 5 IPs with the server. By default, it assigned two IPs to the nameservers, but I'm getting a bit confused as to best practice policies. Is it a bad idea to have your nameserver IPs being used for accounts? I imagine the answer is yes, it is a bad idea, as I've not seen it done by others. I would guess the biggest reason would be that you wouldn't want a bad acocunt to get the IP blocked. I'd like to hear opinions on the matter, as cPanel seems to be set up to automatically assign the first IP available to both the default account IP and the first nameserver.

My Domain Went Back To Showing The Parking Page
I started up a brand new site just over a week ago and set the DNS settings to point the domain to my site. It's been that way ever since. Website Hosting ... Pointing To Server
I dont know where else to post this, but I am having a weird problem that I do not understand. I have this domain, that I am pointing to a VPS hosting service. I currently have 2 domains pointing here. my main domain, works fine. I go to the domain, no issues (www.whiteazn.com) but the 2nd domain, is where i am having problems (firstbaptisthenderson.org) It is pointed to the same server. but the problem is, it seems like the server change, never "propogated" throughout the internet. So, while MOST of the time, it hits the server as I expect, there are times where it goes to the Generic Network Solutions Page Not Found Error (you know, when you just buy a domain, go to that domain and see some generic page there?). and refreshing, clearing cache, etc, still shows for like 1 minute, then after a bit of refreshing, will see the normal page that should be there. this happens ever so often. I dont go to it everyday, but i think it does it periodically. I dont know what the issue is? Both my domains are pointed to: DNS1547.DIZINC.COM DNS1548.DIZINC.COM The change to the DNS servers was made like 6 months ago, and this issue has always shown up.

I have a server running IIS that I have a primary website hosted on, let's call it...foo.com So foo.com is hosted and setup through IIS, resolving fine. Now, I have created a site on a different server (not on the same network) to run a subdomain called 'local.foo.com'. How do I get IIS to point all traffic for local.foo.com to the IP of the server hosting the subdomain? I tried adding a hostname to the primary domain in IIS through "Properties" > "Web Site" > "Advanced" but I am stilling getting the Invalid Request Bad Host Name error.

Pointing An A-Record To A PLESK Server
I am currently having a few technical difficulties with configuring my PLESK server to accept an A Record from another domain. Perhaps I have been going about this all wrong but I will explain what I am trying to do and how I have currently been trying to get it to work. Hopefully you might have a suggestion for me to try. We currently run an On-Demand web design platform. This CMS can be completely rebranded for our Partners who can then sell this facility to their clients. There is only one installation of the code base but we need to give our partners a their own web address to access the cms. For example: cms.altstudio.com.au cms.pcgraphicart.com.au cms.pcgraphicart.com.au has been set up as a domain alias. The reason this is working is because the primary domain pcgraphicart.com.au is also hosted on this server. So I thought if the partner has their domain delegated elsewhere then I could simply get them to create an A record for their chosen subdomain and point it to our IP address, then I could configure the domain alias again for their particular A record and hey presto. Unfortunately not so easy. Here are two of the examples of what is happening cms.newlight.com.au - their root domain is delegated elsewhere, but they have created an A-record for that subdomain and pointed it to 202.60.87.185. Now it reaches my server as I see a PLESK error page at that address. At this stage I don't really know what to try to get PLESK to register that entry. I have created a domain alias for cms.newlight.com.au on the cms.altstudio.com.au account but it didn't pick things up. Another example is cms.abconsulting.com.au

Cpanel Domain Name Server (DNS) Setting For Email On 2 Seperate Server
This is the scenario, domain.com are setup on server1, however server2 also has the same profile of domain.com as we use ns3 and ns4 using domain.com. This works fine with the nameserver setup on server2. However I encounter problems as the emails from server2 won't reach server1 as there are duplicate profile on server2. Stats Showing Internal Page Views To Different Domain Names
I have a customer who is having trouble with his account and would like to help him out. He has a VPS from a totally different provider and his Bandwidth usage is 20x normal. After spending 1 hour wondering why all domains suddenly stopped working and the hosting server was showing no signs of fail. A simple dns service restart on my secondary dns server fixed this. Is there any way to auto restart the dns service upon failure on the cpanel dns only build? Also why would the secondary dns server failing, cause the domain to stop working. The primary dns/hosting server was fine.

W/ CPanel Success Page
My Server is up and running CentOS 4.6 w/ cPanel. All appears to be functioning correctly. My office has 1 dedicated IP. I currently have a wireless linksys router setup and I have given the server a dedicated lan ip address (192.168.1.70) which is outside the dhcp ip range. Now, my resolv.conf file consists of the DNS servers of my webhost. My ifcfg-eth0 file looks like this: DEVICE=eth0 BOOTPROTO=static BROADCAST=192.168.1.255 HWADDR=00:11:2F:FB:2C:02 IPADDR=192.168.1.70 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 NETWORK=192.168.1.0 ONBOOT=yes TYPE=Ethernet Now, when I attempt to view a website I add via WHM I always end up @ the GREAT SUCCESS cPanel page. I think my problems boil down to the IP issue. I have tried to change the IPADDR in the ifcfg-eth0 file to the WAN dedicated IP and everything stops working. Within cPanel it shows the MAIN SHARED IP ADDRESS is the 192.168.1.70. So, within the IP POOL I added the WAN IP address and rebuilt it. Then I created a new reseller user and changed the MAIN SHARED IP to the WAN IP. Then I assigned all the websites to that user.

I have a reseller account that is hosted at ns1 / ns2.mydomain.com and it is configured via cPanel / WHM and is accessed by mydomain.com I recently purchased a dedicated server and would like the dedicated server to have a ns3 / ns4.mydomain.com I also would like that the dedicated server be accessed by another domain (other than mydomain.com). I have just purchased a VPS with WHM and CPANEL. My old VPS used LXADMIN and HYPERVM. I'm trying to change over the DNS from the old to the new, so all i did was change the i.p's. Now i go into WHM and type my DNS servers into the setup/config page. Having already assigned each dns name an i.p im just waiting for the Assign an A address to this namserver button to show my new i.p address.. At the minute it says my old one. Hi there, i have few question for the best suited DNS Setup for our compagny. We have tree server located in montreal. Two are running web services, one of them is only for dns ( home server ). Two main server have Whm/Cpanel. One run Cpanel Dns only. Main server have 7 ips each Dns server, only have 1 Let say we use domain xxx.com Right now we have ns1/ns2/ns3/ns4 point to server1 ns5/ns6/ns7 point to server2 We have no Nameserver that point to our dns only server for now. I'd like to advoid runing DNS Service on all of them, maybe having two slave one master would be fine. Question: What would be the best suited dns setup with my current config for best responding time and fast replication?

Sub Domain On Different Server Exim Unroutable Address - WHM/cPanel
I have two servers running cPanel/WHM, with BIND and Exim. I have my main domain running on one server (gizmo.mywebhost.net) and wish to host a seperate helpdesk on a subdomain support.mydomain.com (on a second server, stripe.mywebhost.net). The subdomain mail account test@support.mydomain.com works fine with hotmail, i can send and reveive between my stripe.mywebhost.net server and hotmail without any issue. The problem is when i try and send mails from accounts hosted on gizmo.mywebhost.net, to the subdomain server stripe.mywebhost.net, i get the following unroutable address error fired back by the local exim process: This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. Dedicated IP Addresses Show Cpanel Great Success Page
Dedicated IP shows cpanel great success page! i have a dedicated server running cpanel whm and i most sites have a single main shared ip. When i assign a dedicated ip to new user account in cpanel, the domain points to cpanel great success page. The site doesnt load. Strangely, if i type dedicated.ip in the browser, the site loads fine.
