No Emails Web Or Pop, Only One Domain
Jan 3, 2008
Only one domain suddenly out of the blue is not receiving emails via web or pop3.
- deleted / recreated email
- eximup forced
- domain exists in trueuserdomains, localdomains but not in remotedomains (shouldn't)
- restarted pop server
Mail works fine on the various other domains on this box
cpanel/centos
What could be the cause? Site works fine, made no server edits.
EXIM logs show this for example
2008-01-03 20:20:03 [1643] 1JAcAE-0000QS-Ly ** admin@domain.com F=<root@server.hostdomain.com> P=<root@server.hostdomain.com> R=lookuphost T=remote_smtp: SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<admin@domain.com>: host sentry.domainbank.com [64.85.73.28]: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1) .......

when I ask a hosting company to take over the domain and hosting of another supplier, what happens with the emails during the transfer ? If the client has his mails set up at his current hosting, how does the new hosting accept the mails once it is transfered? Will there be a period when no emails arrive? And do we lose them?

I can get emails to admin@mydomain.com, but i really wanted to alias it so emails to admin@www.mydomain.com go to the same account. MX records for www.mydomain.com and mydomain.com both go to mail.domain.com. .
This is on a dedicated server, centos, with exim doing the email handling.
I was thinking maybe it would be like an alias of some sort, or somewhere to put a list of combinations i can accept email for.

We are only a small construction business in NEW Zealand, and send very few emails. But from the 4th April, Yahooo has started blocking all emails from our domain name?
We hve not done bulk newsletters, we have not had bulk reject messages. Our website/ email host is Clevernet.
YAhoo NZ have sent us a bulk email form, which Clevernet submitted. We then had to get another approved server form filled out by Cleverney which they did last Friday, but our email domain is still blocked.
Xtra/ Yahoo NZ< seem to think there is nothing they can do, but wait and see if Yahoo unblock it. There does not seem to be anyone who we can contact at the Yahoo server. NZ say they cant contact anyone at Yahoo. We seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

My server currently has 500 set for this parameter. However, I have some scripts that send out reminders and the number of emails will certainly exceed this limit. So this leads to some questions...
What will happen if my scripts try to send out more than the limit?
What happens when the limit is exceeded? Do the scripts "crash", or do they just keep running? Do the "over quota" emails just get discarded or do they get queued?
How does this affect performance? Or maybe it doesn't?
Does the email queue get clogged up if it has too many emails?
What could be bad about increasing the limit - say to 2000? Would this create performance problems for my server?
I have a couple sites that I'm hosting and I would prefer to keep the limit of 500.
However, how can I increase the limit for my own scripts (domains)?
Or, perhaps this option has nothing to do with performance and it's strictly in place as a security measure to prevent hosted accounts from spamming.
I searched for information concerning this issue and couldn't find anything. The cPanel/WHM forum doesn't say what the parameter is for, just how to set it.

I have a couple of clients on my server that happen to do business with a college here locally. For some reason when anyone from the college emails a user on my server, my clients end up getting 20-100 duplicates of the same email. I contacted their IT staff and they say it is on my end and that my server is "cutting off the sending process before it completes". If that was the case, then the user would not receive the first email.
Is there something on my server that could be causing the issue? My server is Plesk 12.0.18 update #38 running Qmail/Courier-IMAP. The server has no issues otherwise.

OS: Plesk 12 / Ubuntu 14
A domain on my Plesk does not receive incoming emails from a specific external domain. Other domains on the same server are receiving correctly emails from the same external domain. DNS are configurated by the same way (external of Plesk). Can't see a bounce anywhere. External sender does not receive a bounce too...
So:
- I've deleted the domain in Plesk and re-created it (just in case...).
- I've added the external sender in spam whitelist (I've tried in user conf and in server wide conf)
- When I send mail to a different address in the same server, I can see the mail in syslog and maillog (send or bounced)
- When I send from this external f***** domain to my domain, I can't see anything in syslog and maillog

I have Exim install on my server, I have a few filters setup.
I have several domains on the same server.
What I want to be able to do is blind copy all emails SENT and RECEIVED from *@domain1.com delivered to backup@backup.com
Here is my filter that copies all incoming mail, (THIS WORKS 100%)
PHP Code:
if error_message then finish endif
if $header_to: contains "@domain1.com"
then unseen deliver "backup@backup.com" endif
Now this filter does NOT work, I want it to blind copy all emails sent from *@domain1.com
PHP Code:
if $sender_address contains "@domain1.com"
then unseen deliver "backup@backup.com" endif
I have 1 outgoing mail filer working, however it is for a specific email address, here it is....
PHP Code:
if $sender_address is "user1@domain1.com"
then unseen deliver "backup@backup.com" endif

We have a CentOS6.5 with 11.5 PLESK. There is a domain named domain.com and there is an alias domain on it that named alias.com and all check boxes of it (Mail,Web,Application and ...) are selected. When we send an email from GMAIL to info@domain.com, we receive it successfully, but when we send that email to info@alias.com, it doesn't receive.

Since Jan 07, one of our servers has been sending thousands of emails to ne.jp hosts.
Eg from logs:

We're absolutely unable to track or find out who is sending it or how to stop this.
So I'm wondering if it is possible to prevent sendmail from sending to:
lsean.ezweb.ne.jp, OR
docomo.ne.jp, OR
softbank.ne.jp
/var/mail/vhostswww logs are not showing helpful info at all. Eg:

How would I solve this problem as it's making our server load skyhigh 24/7.
Additional info about system:
> Debian Linux, latest kernel
> Sendmail (we've tried postfix, exim, with same results)
> Non cPanel system.

i have about 8 different domains i'd like to point to a nameserver (ns1./ns2.mydomain.com) on Win2k3 server, but i can't get them resolved through my nameserver without creating a manual forward lookup entry for each *parked* domain separatly..
Does anyone know how to resolve "parked" domains automatically on Win2k3 DNS??
I just can't find any answer for this, everything i've found required manual creation of lookup entries..
anyone?
