Apache :: How To Translate Non-chunked Message To A Chunked Message

Dec 17, 2014

Apache:2.2.26
OS:RHEL

How to translate non-chunked message to a chunked message using apache server side configuration?Idea is that apache must translate non-chunked request message coming from a client to a Transfer-Encoding: chunked message,before it reaches my apache C module.Here is the configuration i tried in httpd.conf,but of no success

ProxyRequests On
ProxyVia On
<Proxy *>
</Proxy>

<VirtualHost x.x.x.x:8080>
ServerName server
ServerAdmin root@server
LogLevel warn
SetEnv proxy-sendchunked 1

[code]...

How Do I Disable Transfer-Encoding: Chunked

Jun 1, 2007

I'm seeing this in my HTTP Headers in a javascript widget I'm serving. Is there a way to disable chunked transfer encoding, either in PHP or my htaccess file? I have reason to believe it's a workaround for an IE bug.

Apache :: All Of Sudden Server Error Log Started Outputting A Very Strange Message

Apr 4, 2015

I've had a server running for a year or so and all of the sudden the server error log started outputting a very strange message that i've never seen before:

Code:
'groups' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

From what I understand this means apache is trying to run a program that doesn't exist, what could be triggering this?

Running Apache/2.4.9 on win2008.

WHM VPS - No DMA- Message

In the WHM VPS optimized control panel - under Service Status, I see these

Disk /dev/hda3 (/backup) No DMA! (Click to Enable) Disk /dev/hda1 (/) No DMA! (Click to Enable)
Should I? or shouldn't I "click to enable" - or is this something controlled by my host? what does this mean?

This Error Message

Mar 18, 2007

My server has been running fine for months and then I got this message:

IMPORTANT: Do not ignore this email.

The hostname (server.dealsreferals.com) resolves to . It should resolve to 69.46.27.111. Please be sure to correct /etc/hosts as well as the 'A' entry in zone file for the domain.

Some are all of these problems can be caused by
/etc/resolv.conf being setup incorrectly. Please check this file if you
believe everything else is correct.

You may be able to
automaticly correct this problem by using the ' Add an A entry for your
hostname ' under ' Dns Functions ' in your Web Host Manager

What is the problem? Maybe I should do what is suggested, however, why suddenly the problem?

My server is working fine. Should I just let this problem? What harm can happen?

Message Headers And IP

Jun 13, 2007

I have a dedicated server and I am using the SMTP of one of my domain names to send mail. The IP of this domain name ends in .25 and the server hostname IP ends in .24.

The emails that are received list the server hostname and IP in the message headers instead of the IP of the domain name that is sending the email. Is there something that can be done about this? I read that a message could be mistaken as spam if it doesn't originate from the exact IP of the domain in the 'from' field.

Hosting For Message Boards

May 9, 2008

Trying to figure out the hardware configuration I'll need to host a message board and was wondering if those of you with experience could throw out some numbers in terms of # users, bandwidth used, and what hardware configuration you're on (single server, dual server, dual proc, RAM, disk, etc). Been tricky trying to guestimate so some numbers to compare would be a huge help.

I am opening this thread to complain about Yahoo mail issues with our ISP. Its been a month that we are having problems trying to send e-mail to Yahoo accounts.

First of all we are a Web Hosting company in Brazil and the IP that they blocked only host our main domain maxihost.com.br. We dont send bulk ou spam e-mails, we only send invoices and support replies to their accounts.

The logs from our mail servers when trying to e-mail them is below,

is there anything to run on server to fix this issue globally as we are facing this for all domains on server.

Also in the awstats configuration file of the website(awstats.domain.com.conf). when we make the value
WarningMessages = 0
then the error gets fixed.

But after running /scripts/runweblogs < username > the value of WarningMessages again come back to 1
WarningMessages=1

and we again see the above Warning message in the awstats webpage.

Message Is Frozen At EXIM

Jan 29, 2007

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent has not yet been delivered to one or more of its recipients after more than 72 hours on the queue on server.blablablabla.com

Im recieving this kind of errors from some domains of this server...

Im using cPanel + RHEL 3.

Looking at the logs I found this:

23.red-88-22-154.staticip.rima-tde.net (lista@domain.info) [88.22.xxx.xx] is currently not permitted to relay through this server. Perhaps you have not logged into the pop/imap server in the last 30 minutes or do not have SMTP Authentication turned on in your email client.

And SMTP authentication is enabled at the mail client.

Network Down/up- I Can't Understand This Message

Mar 28, 2007

Hello, if anyone is familiar with network technical jargon, I would greatly appreciate a translation. I cannot access my server/site or my datacenter's website.

I checked my regular site monitor and it said both sites were up. However when I checked another online monitor I received the following message:

"Got an error when connecting to ns2.ochiba.net/64.235.53.39 with a request for ochiba.net/ANY: Socket Timeout Exception: Socket timeout on name server ns2.ochiba.net. null"

Here is the ping information:[url]

My site is ochiba.net.

I have no clue what this means. Is this a network issue? DNS issue? Is it on my end (I don't think this is the case because my datacenter's site is down as well)? My datacenter's end? Any recommendations on what steps I should take to resolve this?

I've been unable to access my server now for 20 minutes, so any help would be greatly appreciated (even if it is to point me in the direction of an appropriate google search)

Helo Message Not Matching

Aug 28, 2007

I have a dedicated linux/cpanel server running various websites with the shared ip and one website with a dedicated ip.

But when sending mail through sendmail from the dedicated ip website the ip in the helo greeting is not matching the ip of the sender, it is using the main shared ip rather than the dedicated ip which is producing a 550 error from some receiving mail servers. I have racked my brains trying to figure this out and was wondering if anyone else has/had a similar experience and found a solution.

By the way the helo greeting sent in mail from the shared ip websites is fine...

Disabling Printk Message Supression?

I am trying to troubleshoot messages piling up in my /var/log/messages on CentOS 5 that look like this:

Apr 18 10:04:31 sc16 kernel: printk: 1 messages suppressed.
Apr 18 10:04:39 sc16 kernel: printk: 2 messages suppressed.

The messages are supressed so I can't see what they are or what is causing them.

How can I disable printk supression?

I have already tried:

echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/printk_ratelimit_burst
echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/printk_ratelimit

They don't seem to disable it... Any ideas?

Hosting Email - 554 Message Refused

Apr 3, 2009

I have a dedicated server with godaddy (I know) and have used a pre-installed mail server product to host a few email accounts. Nothing fancy. My mail server is required to relay through godaddy's servers. A few of my users began complaining about email bounces - specifically "554 message refused". I opened a support ticket 2 weeks ago.

Initially godaddy insisted that the emails contained suspicious phishing links - which they didn't. I incrementally stripped the content of the emails and discovered that it was two simple characters that caused the bounce - left and right square brackets []. I presented this information to godaddy and their response was:

"When sending emails in the future, please make sure that these two brackets are not placed in succession to avoid the email from being bounced"

The problem is that my users are trying to forward or respond to email with embedded content that sometimes contains []. I cannot expect them to strip down their emails.

While acknowledging this issue, godaddy has refused to correct it. Sorry for long-winded explanation but I'm interested in some of your feedback - Does this policy make sense? Why can't they correct it?
