View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently unable to access the Plesk control panel except from the web server itself. When I try any of the following options, all work on the server itself but externally all I get is the default Tomcat page.
https://server_name:8443
https://anydomain.com:8443
https://local_ip_address:8443
https://external_ip_address:8443
I don't know if the problem is on the server itself or something within our firewall - we use Microsoft Forefront TMG. The port 8443 is open, and the Tomcat page is being served. All websites working fine, both internally and externally. The server itself is in a DMZ on the network.
The server is running Centos 7 with Plesk 12.
I just noticed that when adding a new domain, I am warned that the domain resolves to another IP address - the external one. Currently, the IP address set up in Plesk is the internal (192.168...) address. Could it be that I need to change this to the external?
I want to save the access logs of our websites on an external server. If I do this now with the default setup, the gets overwritten every day. The desired file name format whould be: websitedomain-tld-access-2014-10-24.log
How can I tell Plesk to do this and how can I make sure the statistics keep working?
On our other servers we use rotatelogs for this.
I am looking to add a mysql external source to my plesk. So far no difficulty.
My question is if I remove the mysql server where the currently plesk. I have to say to the panel get the information (psa, roudcube, horde) on the remote mysql to invez mysql local server?
I have a local web server that I want to make available outside of my local network of two computers. I configured NAT at my router, configured the firewall. I Typed the external IP and got nothing, while I still was able to access my web server by typing "localhost", I tried both IIS and Apache, but what is interesting is that fact that the other people can access my web server via that external IP, I just cannot access it from my local network.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOne of my users is unable to connect to his database using phpMyAdmin. The query is:
LOAD DATA INFILE '/tmp/phpYXZFfZ' INTO TABLE `count` FIELDS TERMINATED BY ';' ENCLOSED BY '"' ESCAPED BY '' LINES TERMINATED BY '
And mysql reports:
#1045 - Access denied for user '<USERNAME>'@'%' (using password: YES)
The funny part is that I can connect without any problems from a shell like this:
mysql -u <USERNAME> -p<PASSWORD> -D <DATABASE_NAME>.
This server has been recently migrated from plesk9 to plesk11.5, running on a centos6 OS.
if it is possible to block external access to Cpanel through port 2082?
View 7 Replies View RelatedDoes a external mysql use a lot of bandwidth?
On one of my sites, mysql uses most of the resources of the dedicated server. I'm thinking of putting multiple mysql servers at home and the rest in the data centre. Having mysql servers at home does not require much bandwidth does it? would a dsl line work ok?
Recently I've upgraded my MySQL server. I connect to it via a conection from NIC to NIC (Internal IP addresses). Since the upgrade/format, I've managed to get everything back to the way it was. Everything works fine for 15-20 minutes. Then the PHP server can no longer access the MySQL server.
I tried logging in from the PHP server, I get access denied. I then tried logging in locally, on the MySQL server and I get in fine...
It's not like it's a firewall issue though, it's strange...
I tried updating PHP/MySQL to a few releases, even the RC's to no avail...
Something to note is that when I try restarting MySQL it can take 4-5 minutes, sometimes not even complete.
Is it possible to make Joomla connect to an external mysql database server?
Meaning, the database for Joomla won't be local, but on another server.
Will it work by just entering the mysql hostname, user and password in Joomla's config?
What issues might arose by doing this?
How can I allow only one ip or a list of ip addresses to access port 8443.I need to limit access this port to few ip addresses and not everyone

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis questing in regards to a web hosting setup using Windows Server 2012 and the latest version of Plesk for Windows (web host edition). The server will be used for hosting whitelabelled reseller accounts.
I understand that the Plesk supports 3rd party DNS providers such as GoDaddy Premium DNS or Amazon Route 53. If I go with either one of those providers for my DNS solution using Plesk, do you know if my reseller customers will be able to use their "Private Name Server" (example. ns1.theirdomain.com, ns2.theirdomain.com)?
I know the Windows OS comes with a DNS built-in, etc. I prefer "not" to host my own DNS server(s) for security, additional cost and other administrative reasons. So, I want to know if any of you out there use external DNS within Plesk successfully for the above setup?
Is there anyway to integrate an external version (not installed through plesk) of Tomcat, so that requests to port 80 are redirected to port 8080 (i.e. if I hit www.example.com I would like to see the same content as www.example.com:8080)?

I want to add a submenu under navigation with link to a page on external website, how can I do that?
It allows submenu to the pages on my website only.
The Setup:Plesk Server hosting domains
The Goal:Have Plesk Accounts on it's server be able to sync to an external SmarterMail server, rather than installing SmarterMail on that same serve (which seems to be available natively).
The sql server I have my users use is on a different server from which plesk is installed. Plesk should include the size of the user's databases from the external server as well otherwise the user can have a database as large as he wants. It's no longer restricted by the plans limits.

I have followed the instructions here to send Plesk notifications through External SMTP (overuse, new domain creation, etc): URL....Here is the error I see in the panel.log: ERR [panel] Unable to send mail.
Is there another log that I'm missing with a more detailed error? Sending through an external SMTP works fine on sites hosted on the same server (Wordpress, Joomla).
I can receive email from all accounts and all domains.
The problem is that when sending an email to an external email (gmail., hotmail, outlook.com .... etc) this is sent to mail queue and do not leave that place.
When I attempt to go to Tools & Settings > External Services > View Services I am redirected to [URL] .... where the page attempts to load for around 2-3 minutes at which point I receive the error :
"Error: Error validating license."
I have checked the logs and event viewer but see no warnings or errors related to the issue. As far as I can tell it is a problem on Plesks side as it seems that the handoff from my panel is already done.
I have Plesk Panel installed in server 1 and mailenable in server2. I disabled mail service in server 1 and configured external mail (by the way, I cannot start it back) - Tools & Settings -> Mail -> External SMTP Server to my server 2.
Every contact form created with Presence Builder never worked, and I do not know why. Is there any work around? When Plesk is going to handle e-mail forms with a PHP file?
For window hosting are there any that offers sql db external access without ip limit?
I've seriously requested thought the forums and actually signed up with few but all of em are either offered it but not anymore(security issue) or not even offering at all.
If you have any experience with hosting company that actually does offer sql db external access please share please!
vps nor dedicated servers are not my choice unfortunatley
and i don't think there's any free hosting that offers this. 99% freehostings use localhost
I've setup a mysql user and assigned a password for it. When I try logging in to it with
Quote:
mysql -u USERNAME -p
and then providing the password I get an error:
Quote:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'USERNAME'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
I don't have trouble logging in as root and when I check the user table there, the password assigned to the user is same as the value the mysql function PASSWORD gives me. Really driving me nuts here, why is it telling me the password is wrong when it's not?
I've tried: Restarting mysql
setting new password
changing username
Using mysql server 5.1.34
I run a shared hosting
OS:centos with whm/cpanel
and would like to restrict access to mysql database
example:
username:user1 created database:user1_db1,user1_db2 etc..
and can only access his own databases
so user2 can't access user1_db1.db2 etc.. and user1 can't access user2_db1,db2 etc..
I have a Ubuntu Lamp server setup in my building which is used for development purposes.
So I also have phpmyadmin setup and am using a Mysql Query browser and Mysql Administrator desktop programs to administor the database on the server. However I am not able to connect to the server from my desktop. I am able to login to my myphpadmin but not able to login via the Mysql Query Browser program.
Hopwing someone can help. I have read about port forwarding and also read a post about editing the my.cnf file on the server and changing the Bind-Address= 127.0.0.1 to the actual hostname but before I start editing the actual configuration files on the server I want to see if their is another way as I am worried that if I change the me.conf file that the phpmyadmin may stop working?
