View 3 RepliesI'm build Plesk Panel for Linux and Presence Builder, I don't want my user can upload their website to hosting via File Manager. How can I do it...
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having Virtuozzo vps with cpanel/WHM installed.I have created some accounts in it by setting disk quota . Now the issue is : some users are using space over the allocted one ,when i use the command quota -u (username),i can see that the users are used the space over the allocated one and they are still allowed to upload file . How to fix this issue ?
View 6 Replies View Relatedhow can i create directories in my (public_html / htdocs folder) that have disk space and traffic quota?
i activated the disk quota to the native linux file system and i tried to create a user but i could not put this user in any folder in the public_html (i dont know how to do this) also there is no option to create bandwidth quota..
one more detail is that the folders need to be protected with login and password because people may try to enter this folders (e.g. www.mydomain.com/protectedfolder)
all this using webmin or another free good script.
LXadmin seem to have a preset disk quota limit to users/groups, even root!
So, how do I change these disk quota limits? There isn't an option in the LXadmin control panel either.
I have a new CentOS 7, with Plesk 12, CentOS 7 by default has XFS filesystem.
I try migrate sites from another Plesk Server but Plesk agent say: "hard disk quota is not supported due to configuration of server file system" (my CentOS 7)
My CentOS7:
CentOS Linux 7.0.1406 64 bits
Plesk 12.0.36
My fstab
[root@ns ~]$ cat /etc/fstab
/dev/mapper/centos-root / xfs defaults,usrquota,grpquota 1 1
UUID=ba391bd5-786c-4ae7-8bbd-f36f831ae6eb /boot xfs defaults 1 2
/dev/mapper/centos-swap swap swap defaults 0 0
I added "usrquota,grpquota", then mount -o remount / ; but when I try quotacheck -fmv / I gest this:
[root@ns ~]$ quotacheck -fmv /
quotacheck: Skipping /dev/mapper/centos-root [/]
quotacheck: Cannot find filesystem to check or filesystem not mounted with quota option.
but quotaon command works:
[root@ns ~]$ quotaon /
quotaon: Enforcing group quota already on /dev/mapper/centos-root
quotaon: Enforcing user quota already on /dev/mapper/centos-root
The problem here is why Plesk does not recognize quotas as enabled on CentOS 7??
If I try this command it seems good:
[root@ns ~]$ /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/usermng --isquotable
0
Also I do this:
- Disabled Selinux
- Check all packages as quota, etc.
I have been using some reference: [URL] ....
how i could define a maximum size for a certain folder on my web hosting thus the folder size cannot exceed this ??
Also how could i set a maximum quota for an ftp account ?? provided that i have no cpanel im on GoDaddy host
How do you set user premissions on a file on a server or database?

Its a big security issue for run shell.
We have a website under httpdocs/. We can change/delete files with a ftp user : "ftpold". All is ok. We must create another ftp access for another company which can access only to httpdocs directory (not to logs/, error_docs/...).
So we have create a ftp access in Plesk. But with this ftp connexion, we can not update/delete files ou update rights.
So we decide to change rights on the files/directories under httpdocs with the new ftp access :
httpdocs# chown -R ftpnewsacln *
The is no errors but the files:directories are always with the old ftp user :
httpdocs# ls -l
ftpold psacln ... libs/
ftpold pscln ... index.php
Why ? How can i create another ftp access ?
I am giving CSF a try and so far like what I see. I removed APF with the following commands:
rm -fv /etc/cron.daily/fw
chkconfig –del apf
rm -frv /etc/apf
But it appears that I still have 'symlinks' for the following in /usr/local/sbin:
apf -> /etc/apf/apf
fwmgr -> /etc/apf/apf
These two items are blinking. How can I safely remove them?
I use Basic Auth to limit access to a web site. This seems to work ok. I noticed though in the logs that the logged in user is not logged:
80.....188 - - [16/Jul/2013:09:56:29 +0200] "GET ..." 200 1844 "...." " ...
I would expect the second - to be replaced by the logged in user. The doc says, the user is logged if the document is protected. I do protect the whole directory using directory match. Without log in I fail to retrieve the document in question.
i have plesk 11.5.3 on Linux centOS 6, I created a ftp user on a domain folder, I need to deny this user to read a specific file .php, how can I do?

I'm trying to configure Apache logs to split logs files for every virtual host on the server
for example: {site1 .com} => copy access_log to /home/site1/public_html/logs {site2 .com} => copy access_log to /home/site2/public_html/logs .. {site3 .com} => copy access_log to /home/site3/public_html/logs
i want to also to make sure is the logs files updated in the real time

if your web host has some hardware ddos protection and i'm assuming it blocks the ip address/addresses of a DDOS attack, will it Unblock that ip address/addresses after a certain amount of time?
Because a person's computer may unknowingly be part of a botnet that does a ddos attack, and that innocent person won't be able to access the server if their ip address is not unblocked by the ddos hardware right?
I'm trying to delete a domain from my Plesk 8.2.0 panel, but whenever I try to delete it, I get the following error:

I've rebooted the server and Plesk and MySQL, yet I still seem to get the error. Any suggesstions?
So after the palaver yesterday, I managed to remove everything to a degree enough to reinstall Plesk. I'm still having quite a few issues but at least the websites are up and running again.
One of the more important ones is SSL certificates. Apparently they still exist somewhere, but they're not showing up in Plesk.
I tried doing /usr/local/psa/bin/certificate -l -domain <domain>, however that returns:
PHP Notice: Undefined index: CSR; File: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/api-common/cuCertificate.php, Line: 878
Error occured while sending feedback. HTTP code returned: 502

I found that in the Autoinstaller that there is an option to remove the Plesk Panel as a component. One of my customers ended up selecting this option and nuked all the psa functions. As you can imagine this was a nightmare for them since Plesk went away on them.
Is there a way to disable this feature either pre or post Plesk installation (or both) so future customers don't have this option? If there is a way to do this (and of course enabling it again if necessary)....
So per my other message [URL] .... we have four websites which we can't delete from PPA (Services/Websites doesn't have a way to do that) or from Hosting Panel (Webspaces says, "The selected webspaces were scheduled for removal," but they don't delete). In Hosting Panel, three have always shown as Failed and one as Pending.
The DNS zones can be deleted but they reappear if I "Apply DNS Template Changes" presumably because the websites are defined.
I have problem:
Searching /root....

Extracting Domain....Done
Sorry, the copy failed. Unable to find the cpanel user file. Is the archive missing (cwd: /root/cprestore loaded cpmove-clanpz/cp/clanpz)?
checked 4 files.....
1. /scripts/pkgacct username...
2. Transfer backup to new server
3. /scripts/restorepkg username
4. this error
I thought I knew enough about my .htaccess stuff to do this, but I can't seem to work it out. What I want to do is if a user visits domain.com/folder, we check to see if the folder exists. If so, show as normal (IE domain.com/support)
If a user visits domain.com/dynamicusername (dynamicusername is not a physical folder), redirect to dynamicusername.domain.com
Say I have 2 websites and they all use file.php which is located on mainserver.com/file.php.
I want to use the file like this:
website1.com/file.php
website2.com/file.php
I've a dedicated with VERY high-end specs
16gb ram
SCSI RAID10
SATAII RAID5
CentOS 4.5 x86_64
Kernal 2.6.9-55.ELsmp
cPanel
However, it has a serious problem, which is with any quota process such as, modifying accounts' quota/creating new account with specific quota(if set to unlimited no problem occurs)/restoring account from a backup file even its a 10mb file when it reaches the quota check section. When any of those happens the load goes Very high 50+ and even can hang the server for sometime if there is a big backup to restore so its quota is big . and the top process that appears at 'top' is quotaon 105% CPU.
When I reboot the server and it come back online I can do any quota process with no issues at all for few hours after a reboot then if I do any quota concerning action the problem happens again!
The DC said its not a hardware problem while I was suspecting it is!
I am trying to add a new user and here's what I'm doing:
Code:
login as: root
root@server.ip.address.here's password:
Last login: Fri Aug 31 18:54:25 2007 from my.last.ip
[18:56:05][root@chii]~$ useradd -d /home/chiisana_alf -G chiisana_crew chiisana_alf
