Now can someone tell me what kind of solution i need to host this website & keep sit running smoothly.
I work in torrent marketing niche (legit and fully legal marketing) and I need a solution that will allow me to host about 3000 torrents at a time. I don't know how to solve this so I'm looking for help from someone who knows a bit about hosting and torrents. Please help me to find the best solution for my needs. I would prefer hosting it on couple smaller vps servers than on one dedicated. I used to host it on windows server, but utorrent crashes with more than 600 torrents. I think I would add no more than 300 torrents per vps.
View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know a good torrent VPS hosting service? It does not matter if they have seed hosting or not, I just want to be able to host my torrent site which have links to other seed links.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been looking for a VPS with windows, ability for torrents and unmetered bandwidth. I've tried leaseweb and I did not like their service one bit for support. i did not use their 10mb unmetered though. I then tried FDC and they were ok, but now I'm looking for something else that is more like FDC then anything. With FDC I was running windows 2003, unmetered bandwidth and was doing some torrents a bit. Not music or movies though, i hate 99.9% of the music out and don't bother with movies or software or any of that junk. my speed was fine at up to 100mb literally. downloading from the net to my FDC server would go as much as 80mb or so, peaking a bit faster for like half a second. Anyhow, the speed their was fine.
So I'm just looking for something else is all. The server I was on was a VDS and cost was for me $79. I had 512mb ram and 100gb drive space.
I want to host a torrent search engine (not a torrent site with actual torrents hosted, only a search engine).
It has to be really fast. I have a few questions?
What hosting is required for this site to be lightning fast? Most of it is due to the coding of the site but how much of it is reliant of the server? Any suggestions?
Also, is it better to start small and upgrade as more visitors come? Or is it just better to get a big server?
is there anyone knows for a good hosting located in uk,which is allowed : adult site and casino betting online site ?
im looking for vps and dedicated server.
please help me i really need as soon as possible.thx
I'm trying to find at least three web hosting companies to choose from to host a Joomla websites on a shared server. Would consider dedicated if the deal was right. I have a friend of mine who wants to create a church website, and is looking for the best deal. I use Netfirms which I have never had an issue with, but I didn't want to be bias, and would like give him other options to choose from.
Is there a good WebHosting Review site, I could check out, or maybe someone could recommend their top three. I reading threw the forums here and I noticed there are not that many complaints with Hostgator. Again, I just want to see if there was anything out there better.
I am looking for a VPS that allows torrenting. I am planning to start a site like the Imageshack Torrent Service.
Thanks!
what if any vps servers allow bit torrents to run if there are any please post a link and any positive about them.
View 0 Replies View RelatedI would like a VPS so I may download my torrents on the VPS then ftp them home, I am with provider now but got told that's a not allowed to host "those" files.
So is there any one who does not monitor, is dirt cheap etc..
I looked in the offers forum and thought these looked good, bit not too sure if what I want to do is allowed/monitored.
can someone paste link to torrent of CentOS ( 4 or 5 ) which is best
and has enough seeders ...
how can I seed a torrent from my dedicated server?
When I build the torrent with Torrent Software, I have the possibility to add a HTTP as seed. The intention is to use my server as seed of this torrent. However I don't know what I need to change or configure in my server. I searched the internet for info about this, but wasn't able to find any info.
The torrent is an ebook written by me with public released domain rights, so there aren't any legal issues. Basically the problem/inquiry is 100% technical.
Im setting up a download service which allows users to download files to there space via different methods.
As Torrents are one of the methods, I need a dedi serve host which allows torrents.
It can be either:
a) Ignore DMCA Notices - Much easyier as it saves us the trouble.
b) Forward all notices to us to reply and we handle and delete offending files.
I'm looking for a cheap dedicated server for torrents. What I want is this:
* 1GB RAM or more
* 50Gb HDD or more
* 100mbps or higher
* 4000GB bandwith or more
* Located in Europe with great peering ....
Is there any way to block or monitor and find scripts such as rapidleech and other torrent upload scripts on a cPanel server?

Can some on tell me wich is best to use?
I have noticed in a few Windows server tha the server gets hacked and there are tons of files which are mostly DVD rips and games being transferred away which results in huge amount of data transferred and bandwidth consumption increasing to as far as 29 Mbps. On further investigation, I find that all the files get stored in either the Recycler directory or the System Volume Information directories in any of the drives. Now these two directories are protected operating system files. Even if there is a windows firewall installed, there is no difference. I have even noticed that in some servers there is an automatic exception rule added in the windows firewall enabling the torrent client to communicate outside the server. This seems to be a common problem with Windows 2003 server and seems to be some backdoor of Windows allowing hackers to use the server for seeding. Has anybody come across such a problem or know the solution? Kindly help me with this.

By this I mean, the most competitive for users like me who are just learning the technology and maybe want to set up some basic book examples online using SQL 2005.
i can host my web applications locally and my database connections are still intact but how can i host my web applications designed wit DW on a public server without the database connection being broken?
View 16 Replies View Relatedi have purchased a site and im waiting for godaddy to reply to a push from the seller(the domain) can i upload to a hosting co without owning the domain name? the site is boomlink.info and when its typed into google it goes straight to godaddy . can you see where im coming from?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have looked far and wide for a hosting company that supports ASP.NET as well has SQL server (and that allows remote connections via MS Enterprise Man). I have used Godaddy for years, but trying to access a SQL or MySQL db for development is complicated and pathetic. I have looked at many new Hosting CO's, including m6,1and1,ixwebhosting,************,hostmonster,bluehost, and others mentioned here; but All I can find is dozens of reviews, mostly bad and very few good, on about ANY company that I google for except the ($20+) monthly ones. I have found a site called reliablesite.net, that interests me. (I am non profit org paying out of my pocket). I have seen good reviews but a couple that are very 'bad' for me, such as no sites hosted on this provider, no phone number or where the company is at. Any insights on the provider. I am needing an ASP.NET / SQL provider (low volume traffic). (I found a reliable ? discountasp.net but there price w/SQL is too high..) , so am looking at reliablesite.net. Just tired of looking at dozens of bad reviews on about any site I google for...

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm after some hosting for some adult content (nothing too bad!) as my current host won't allow it (no big loss, they're atrocious anyway)
Preferably something UK or US based, not too bothered either way as long as it's fairly reasonable in price and has a good service.
Not sure about bandwidth limits, to say the site is in it's early stages would be an understatement, but something flexible would be good.
Can anyone tell me which is the best site for website hosting ? i have used javascript 2 and html for coding. which is the best site ??

Well when it comes to anything that isn't windows hosting, I'm pretty knowledgeable about but when it comes to windows hosting I'm clueless about it as I pretty much never have any need for it. One of my business partner is looking to place there site on a more affordable hosting since there current rate is pretty high.
They have a simple site, which they are really not looking to get much traffic or use anymore then 2gigs of space. Probably needs at least one MS SQL Database and that's it. No more then 5gigs of bandwidth. All they want is something for show thats it, other then that they don't utilize the site for anything.
Can anyone recommend a good host for this with 24/7 live support?
I have agreed to update website A (with url A) on host A. Both are rubbish.
I would like to build the new site with host B for various reasons (essentially I want / need more than one 50Mb database).
If I build the new site B on host B under a temporary URL, I'll then need to transfer the domain from host A to host B. So my questions are:
How easy is it to transfer url A to host B and to point to site B? What will happen to the approx. 70 email addresses on host A? Will I have to manually recreate them at host B and any emails stored on the server will be lost?
I own a few domains without websites; is it a good idea to show ads on them; do people actually earn anything by displaying ads on empty domains; my current hosting plan doesn't have quota for additional domains so how do I do that without buying a hosting.
