What Happened To SellWHM
Sep 12, 2008
I have a VPS with SellWHM and it really rocks (amazing for the price).
Anyhow, I was working on my VPS and had a question. I went to bring up SellWHMPortal.com to submit a ticket, but no response. I then tried SellWHM.com and ditto.
Anyone know what's happening? My VPS is still up running fine. And, I really don't want to lose it.

I ordered a vps from sellwhm on the 24th, and i still have not received a welcome email.
I know for a fact my order was accepted, and not marked as fraud, as ralph told me over live chat he was setting it up. He told me i would receive the welcome email after cpanel was installed; which i was told should take roughly 45mins.
Later that day, when i had still not received the welcome email, i popped and live chat and was told Ralph would be contacted asking to send the email. When i still had not received it later that night, i submitted a ticket. I went to check it the next day, to find their ticket system changed, and my login didnt work.
I went on livechat, and was told that i would receive details for the ticket system (which i still have not received), i then asked about my server, and was initially told a server had had a hardrive failure, which was why my domain wasnt resolving, and told i would be refunded on a pro-rata basis for downtime. Later on in that chat, when i asked what will happen when my server comes back up, and will i be liable for a refund for lost time, i was told my server was in fact not down, i was just waiting for a welcome email.
Is 2 days a long time to wait for a vps?
Im not very happy with the service i have received so far, and hope writing hear will get Ralph's attention. is there anything else i can do? as the ticket system isnt working, and im based out in the UK, so cant really phone, and livechat dont seem to communicate with each other.

I am completely now out of my mind,....
I had bought dedi server from SellWHM few months back... server.tvmeribiwi.com and now it has been down for more than 12 hours...
When i check their homepage it says ... the ownership is being transferred ...
I have made all payments, why is my server DOWN!
I have even PMed "host Website" who claimed to have took over SellWHM.
I mean why is my server down, while they want to transfer ownership?
Why should it be down for no reason!
Ralph is not responding ... to PMs or email ....
What the hell is going on ... US financial crisis hitting even dedi server business...

I've been hosting my sites all over the net, and I found SellWHM.com support and service amazing. Been with them for over 2 months now, never had a problem they can't support and fix.

Most of us know the Sellwhm/RalphC problem, and unfortunately i'm on a side note of this. I purchased a dedicated server through RalphC a week ago, and was assured over and over by RalphC there would be no problems. Now I sure think that was a big mistake.
Roughly 4-5 hours ago my server was all of a sudden shutdown, with me on it. I waited about 25 minutes and Emailed RalphC. From there I waited 30 minutes... no reply. Jumped on MSN... not only is he not on-line, he isn't even on my contacts anymore. I jumped on WHT to send him a privmsg, and looked around at some new posts. Which then I found all these SellWhm posts...
I'm not holding anything against RalphC, and i'm sure he has some stress going on. What I would like to get is some suggestions, on what the heck I should do?
Here is the problem:
I bought the server through SellWHM.com/SellWHM.com(RalphC at the time). He said he had a business reseller account with burst.net. I paid RalphC for one of the servers, which it took about 3 days to get. I started to move some files, secured the server etc... went to run cPanel... it wasn't there. I installed cPanel myself, and the license wasn't valid. *sigh*. He contacted Burst.net and it was working about 1 1/2 days.
At this time (being 4-5 hours of downtime) I cannot get a hold of RalphC at all. He failed to give me his contact phone number, and his email and MSN are both going no where.
I contacted Burst.net via their helpdesk and opened up a ticket. Corey answered it and needs the paypal transaction ID, and/or the last 4 digits of the CC. Here is the problem: I paid RalphC, and RalphC paid Burst. So they do not have my payment information.
RalphC gave me his reseller ID number and said if I had any problems to contact Burst directly. Which I told burst in a support ticket that he did give me his ID#, and I gave them all the server information.
At this time Burst.net has yet to reply to my ticket... so I continue to wait. Server down, I paid $90.00... and here I sit.
how to even proceed.

I've been having a server from worldstream.nl for few months now, during the first months everything was good.
Now, during the last two months my server has been offline every week for hours. I Asked them to give me a new server because there are clearly some hardware problems. They didn't. They instead installed my debian os again. 4 days after the new installation, the server is offline again. I asked them to replace the server again, no success. They instead replied "Have you checked your error logs?".
It's a bit difficult to check the error logs if the server is offline.

into my second monthof VPS hosting I noticed my server was unavailable which I found was due to a hardware failure, I am then told that some IPs need changing, I've had no access to my sites for ages, no one is answering tickets and the phone number is dead.
Assuming the company has gone under, can I regain anything from paypal as I paid for my hosting through them

What on earth is going on? I have had my business website hosted by 2mhost.com for years and now it has been down for 2 weeks and their site is down also? What a rip-off! There are no phone numbers to contact them on the internet (none from google), no email addresses to contact anybody! How professional i tell ya! I am paid until January and i am losing money because my site is NOT up and running, there have been problems ALL YEAR! But it has never went this long, and they could at least email or notify customers of something major going on or something. Does anybody know of how to contact them and/or if there was anything that is going on like are they still in business?

I currently have my website hosted with JWeb2, and roughly 15 hours ago I started getting a Page Cannot be Displayed when trying to visit my website. I tried to connect via FTP and get an error message that says, "Failed resolve ftp.mydomain.com..."
I did a quick search for "JWeb2" on this forum, and found the following thread:
[url]
I need help with this and I don't know what to do. There is no mention in the above thread, which is now closed, of who bought JWeb2 or who the new contact is. I received NO communication from JWeb2 to tell me they were selling themselves and who the new host was
I am sitting here now PRAYING that I did not lose all my data in the mean time.
How do I find out who the new host is and if my website is okay?

My friend has been using them since 2004, but he said that they closed up shop about 2 weeks ago.
Site is still there, but phones are disconnected, emails don't work.. and they changed DNS so that he can't even get into his admin panel...
I tried doing a google search on them, but they've saturated the net w/their name so much that all I see are ads everywhere.

I've been trying to track down Alex Brecher, who I understand sold Successful Hosting to Navisite some months ago, regarding a project I did for him that I'm still owed some funds on.
Unfortunately, I've not been able to contact him by any means. The telephone number I had for him rings with a busy signal, he doesn't answer e-mails on what seems to be his current e-mail address (it was last updated a couple months ago on Plaxo), etc. I even tried sending a fax (which I think got through), but no reply... And sending him a message on LinkedIn ended off with him seemingly deleting me from his contacts :-|
Anyhow, I'm not one to leap to assumptions, but I get the distinct impression perhaps he doesn't want to talk to me -- which seems relatively absurd to me considering it was a relatively small project in any event. So I thought maybe someone here who is more familiar with the situation involving Successful Hosting's sale may be able to help me out in finding him, or at least give me a bit more insight :-)
