I run a small website on a dedicated unmanged server with cpanel.
About a month ago,i stopped getting the daily mails from addresses that are located on the server...
Also,when I attempted to send mail to one of these addresses I never received it...
Its a RHEL 3 server with cpanel,is there anything I can do to see where the problem is?
I have been having great trouble sending mails from my local Thunderbird/Windows client to my Debian/Exim-server via TLS/SMTP.
I am no expert on TLS and SMTP, but I managed to create a server certificate and set up a secure (TLS) connection more than a year ago, and it has been working fine until it suddenly stopped working a couple of weeks ago.
Sending to external addresses from web pages still works fine, the problem seems to be in the SMTP connection. If I try to "telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 25" I get no reply whatsoever (it seems to connect but it just gives me a blank screen with a blinking cursor) and I am wondering if there is a firewall issue or if I am simply not running the right daemon to listening for incoming SMTP connections...
POP continues to work fine with teapop/stunnel enabled.
I am running Exim 4.63-17 on Debian Etch. I configured Exim to be of the type "internet site; mail is sent and received directly using SMTP"

I really don't know what to do. I have tried running:
tail -f /var/log/daemon.log
Which responds when I access my mail using POP but not when I try to send using SMTP.
Yesterday I could reach all of my cPanels on a Vista laptop; today they all time out. I can reach them with other computers. It doesn't matter if I go to mysite.com/cpanel or mysite.com:2082. I even added a port 2082 under Windows Firewall; no change. I'm not using any 3rd party firewalls. I did install a bittorrent client last night, then uninstalled it when it didn't work.

Very strange because if I run php script with mail() function as root on command line all working fine.
But If I run php script with mail() function in my browser so not work. Seems that only ROOT can run mail() function.
Recently I noticed that I was not getting any email on my server.
Server is running CentOS
When I send email to myself I am not getting anything and then it bounces back several days later saying the server is not responding.
When I check on Dnsstuff.com I get the following:

I tried turning mail services OFF and then ON again in Plesk but that didnt help.
I have a server that I access through remote desktop. Suddenly I am getting the message "Remote Desktop Disconnected: The computer can't connect to the remote computer." when using Remote Desktop.
It was working a few minutes ago.
A while ago I suspected that someone knew the password for the box. I did change it at the time, and thought the issue was solved. Is it possible to turn off remote desktop remotely (whilst using remote desktop).
Power cycling the server isn't making any difference.
Any other options other than putting in a support request at the host?
i havent touched the config on my vps box for months and it has been running OpenVPN without any problems.
All of a sudden it is complaining it cant find /dev/net/tun

any reason why it would stop working? i am on a VPS i have asked if the host machine parameters have been changed but in the meantime anything else i can check?
I have recently migrated my websites from Plesk 11.0.9 to a new server with Plesk 12.x and the webalizer is not working.
- Is there a chance to repair it and not loose the data? If yes, how do I do that?
- Or do I have to remove it and install Webalizer again? How do I do that?

I have Plesk Firewall Installed.
After the Plesk Firewall was enabled the FTP Stopped working in passive Mode.
I searched the net and found the following :

It started working.
I changed the default FTP port from proftpd.conf

I am getting this error after installing the AfterLogic WebMail Pro_7 app on a domain.
I removed the app but AfterLogic still appears in the list of available Webmail options. I am getting the error even after changing all my domains to use Roundcube.

I'm not been able to start plesk although web and mail services are running.I'm getting the error unable to execute php_handlers_control.I've patched and updated plesk with command line and bootstrap repair and I'm getting this errors:

I got a VPS with CentOs installed and it is using LxAdmin and i got this problem:
I installed Squirrelmail but it isn't working because open_basedir is enabled.
I do not want to disable open_basedir,
I am seeking recommendation on which of the following webmail interface should I use:
Horde, SquirrelMail or RoundCube
I have tried squirrelmail and I am searching for more features - would prefer something similar to outlook/yahoo etc.
I have having some issues with sending/receiving email. I have the following running on my linux virtual dedicated server with godaddy:
Postfix
IMAP
Squirrelmail(webmail)
My problem is: I can logon through webmail using the domain account but I cannot logon using any email accounts I created. I can also send emails out from the server from the command line i.e.:
root@myserver.com# echo "test" | mail -s testsubject someemail@hotmailorwherever.com
So instead of using webmail, I tried using OUTLOOK and experienced the same issue. I can logon using the domain/system account but not any using any of the email accounts i created using simple control panel.
I have Squirrelmail installed on a VPS running CentOS with ControlZX as a control panel and I'd like to replace it with Roundcube. What I'm trying to do is make it so that the Roundcube webmail application is accessible through every domain on the VPS (e.g. domain1.com/webmail , domain23.com/webmail) without having to manually install it on every domain separately. Also, because I have resellers hosted on this VPS I don't want to just install Roundmail on our main domain and provide that as the official webmail access area because then our reseller's customers would have no choice but to access their webmail via our domain. For obvious reasons most resellers would prefer to keep their provider's presence in their own business transparent.
I know Roundcube supports "virtual users" and have a basic understanding of how that works, but I am unsure how setup Roundcube so that it can be accessed from any domain on the box. Where should I install it?
I've heard plenty of users talk about using Roundcube as a replacement to Squirrelmail so I have to assume it can be used in the way that I'm talking about (that is, not needing to be installed on every individual domain manually).
For those of you that have done this, can you please describe how you accomplished it?
I also don't have a problem hiring someone to help us complete this but am still interested in knowing how to go about it.
on a server with CentOS 5.2 and cPanel 11.24.4, Apache 2.2.11
i need to find where does squirrelmail save the .abook files.
on my servers should be at /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/squirrelmail/data but there are only 3 files in there: .htaccess, default_pref and index.php
is there any place where squirrelmail might save these files? or a database perhaps? i couldn't manage to locate them.
I have 2 question regarding squirrel mail web interface..
1- Can a user change his mailbox password?
2- Is mailing forwarding option include in it?
Does anybody know how to install SquirrelMail using the application vault in Plesk 8.1?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded squirrelmail to latest version, and now I get problem like 3 or 4 times when u login and logout and try to login again the page freezes and gets stuck it's saying "connected waiting for reply" it keeps happening not only to me but every user in the server (multiple connections and multiple computers)
