Plesk 12.x / Linux :: No Error Logs For One Domain
May 26, 2015
We have running a Plesk 12.0.18 update #47 on a CentOS 6.6 VPS.
Suddenly one of the domains hosted has stopped recording the error logs from apache so we can't troubleshoot the web issues. All other hosts are working right.
I trying to migrate a domain from cpanel 11.42 to my new plesk 12 vps.
When i do this i got a error:
PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function getElementsByTagName() on a non-object in /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/backup/Conflicts/Detector.php on line 536
The domain has 3 sub domains, 1 parked domain and several mailboxes.
When you perform a migration, Plesk gives me this error. For more I search, I find what may be the cause.
Error: Unable to find domain with name 'e-domain.com'[2014-11-18 19:41:31] ERR [panel] exception 'PleskObjectNotFoundException' with message 'Unable to find domain with name 'e-domain.com'' in /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/Domain.php:950 Stack trace: #0 /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/backup/Conflicts/PleskDataManager.php(1278): Domain::getByName('e-domain.c...') #1 /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/backup/Conflicts/Resolver/UnfitSettingsResolver.php(500):
I have an error that has arisen me for no apparent reason. This error does not allow me to enable or disable DNS domains. I searched for solutions but have not found anything.
The error message is: ERROR: Call to undefined method plesk__client__domain__dns__toggle::_postRequestRequired() (DNSToggleUIPointer.php:26)
And as I said DNS appears when activated or deactivated by the domain from Plesk panel
We found 502 Bad Gateway error Nginx on multiple domain "currently troissoeursetunfrere.com is a wordpress site e-commerce" and also malittleboutique.com ecommerce wordpress, possibly to fix this problem we have followed this tutorial " [URL] ....
I need to disable apache access logs. I commented out the access log path in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf and restarted the server but it's still logging access.
I have one subscription that shows incorrect statistics for the log file size. In the statistics pane it reports 130MB, while on the server in the /var/www/vhosts/domain/logs I only see 1.7MB.
Are there any other locations where logs are kept that are included in the statistics?
We run a high traffic server and the access logs get filled up very quick. I know we could implement rotation, but I would also like to prevent performance loss by having an access log, doesnt matter how marginal that would be.
I'm just wondering how I can start logging activity in Fail2Ban. I've got the following line in the "logs" tab in "IP Address Banning" in the Plesk UI:
/var/log/fail2ban.log
However when I check this it states "The file is empty".
I'm assuming there will be a setting somewhere that tells fail2ban to log to that file but I'm not sure where/what it is?
I know for sure that I've had IP's banned but they just don't appear to be logged.
After deleting a domain, we got the following error which rendered the panel useless.
Internal error: Unable to find service node for web service on domain with id=5 Message Unable to find service node for web service on domain with id=5 File PhDomain.php Line 1402 Type PleskDBException Go To Previous Page
I want to save the access logs of our websites on an external server. If I do this now with the default setup, the gets overwritten every day. The desired file name format whould be: websitedomain-tld-access-2014-10-24.log
How can I tell Plesk to do this and how can I make sure the statistics keep working?
When I hit my server's domain it redirects me to one of the hosted sites' domain with a 302 redirect. It used to return the default plesk server page. How can I cancel the redirect?
I have recently started a forum and am wondering where I should locate the error logs for such things as database backups and failed admin panel login attempts.
There is the public_html folder, but I'm concerned that Anything contained within this folder is accessible to prying eyes. Is this true?
I have also heard of directory traversal, which I imagine could fall under the same category.
Would I perhaps be best off creating a folder outside of public_html for the holding of these valuable 'targets'?
What would I best to do to secure my server in this regard? It would have to be writeable for the system to be operational.
since i take server i got a lot of errors on my apche logs when i post this command on my shell:-
Code: tail -f /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log will coming a lot & fast error and not stop until i stop the apache:-

every thing is ok but i need to remove this error and i can't under stand from where comming ! "/usr/local/apache/htdocs"
I am running Plesk on a VPS and a page on one of my websites won't load no matter what I try, I want to view the error logs but aren't sure how to go about it on this system...
my host is telling me that since I don't have a domain name setup (I use [url] that my account won't be logging ANYTHING. no raw access logs or anything. Why is this? Isn't there a setting in the vhost file to setup logs without a domain name?
I want to check error logs in hypervm in my friend vps , as I haven't done before, I want to know where can I view error logs
I have a doubt if there was an error in installation of kloxo, as I couldn't find an option to add ip address in kloxo or any other error which is troubling in adding an ip to kloxo
I get this error in Plesk 8.6 when trying to delete a domain. I have tried various things from various forums, but they have failed:
Error: Unable to remove domains: Problems occured while removing domains: Delete database user failed: Object 'sys.queue_messages_210099789' does not exist or is not a valid object for this operation.
Earlier when I tried to remove it, it removed only physical hosting from the server (not the complete hosting account). When I try again to add physical hosting I get:
Error: DNSZone::Table:: select() failed: no such row in the table
Not sure if two errors are related. Can anyone help me out with this.
I am trying out Plesk 11 for windows, so far I like it and will most likely buy it. I am having a problem with a new domain, however. I just created the domain, and I installed wordpress on it using Plesk's application page. If I go to [URL] .... it will not load, however if I go to [URL] .... it loads just fine. I even edited the directory to make sure that IIS looks for index.php first, but this didn't fix it. What am I missing?
After a full year of operation, I think I need to delete some log files. What types of files can I safely delete (and is deletion the best option, i.e. will the files be regenerated from zero length?)
For example, my server's error_log file is 193 Mb and my access_log file is 14 Mb. Can I "rm" them both?
Are there any other such files I can safely delete that occupy space on the server?
I assume they are file requests made from ads on the site.
Right now I've just added those directories and files to appease the error logs, but can I fake their existence somehow without having to clutter up my file structure?
