Following the update from 11 to Plesk 12 (and installing latest Ubuntu fixes), the Plesk panel access is broken. Welcome page says:Can not load key: key is empty. And of course, no way to login the mgt interface. All services appear up, so this is only affecting the panel web service.
Fishing out the panel.log, it appears to be at a lower level than I initially thought (see below): experiencing issues after updating from 11 to 12 on Ubuntu (12)?

Unfortunately the encrypted FTP transfer is broken since Plesk upgraded to version 12. There are two cases:
Passiv FTP without encryption on port 21: everthing workes fine. Passiv FTP with explicite TLS encryption on port 21: The control connection can be established by using TLS on port 21 but the data transfer can't be established by using passive mode (ETIMEDOUT - Connection attempt timed out)
I thought it could be a firewall issue but i'm currently unable to diable the firwall for testing since the configuration of the firewall is unreachable after upgrading to plesk 12! See second thread:URL....
We had problem with high-cpu-usage by ctmilter.I just restarted service /etc/init.d/ctmilter_initd restart..I saw, that daemon ctmilter_initd is dissapeared! There isn't in /etc/init.d. I try to find it in whole server:locate ctmilter_initd ...But result is empty! Can I try to reinstall this service?
Minutes after this microupdate auto-installed, I am unable to login to POP and IMAP on this server. None of the accounts are able to login. The logs indicate hundreds of login failures, accompanying a new record I've never seen in these logs:
Unfortunately, I can't find anything about what MU#62 actually included. The changelog only indicates up to MU#61, so I'm very concerned:URL....
I've googled the specific error I'm seeing above, but nothing appears to be remotely related to this problem. Is it possible to roll back the MU to determine if that is in fact the problem?
My current configuration is: Ubtuntu Server 10.04, Plesk 11.5 and Roundcube 0.9.5 (installed via Plesk as the default webmail application) on Apache.
I played around with an SSL checker (https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/) to test my certificates and I found out that Roundcube delivered a broken certificate chain. It didn't deliver the intermediate certificate correctly. I searched through the configuration file of roundcube (/etc/apache2/plesk.conf.d/roundcube.conf) and discovered that there was only an entry for SSLCertificateFile.
To fix this I added the intermediate certificate via SSLCACertificateFile to the configuration file:
The only problem is that this configuration file is generated automatically:
Code: #ATTENTION! # #DO NOT MODIFY THIS FILE BECAUSE IT WAS GENERATED AUTOMATICALLY, #SO ALL YOUR CHANGES WILL BE LOST THE NEXT TIME THE FILE IS GENERATED.
Using Plesk 12 on CentOS, I'm unable to remove an old expired SSL certificate from one of my domains. It's not actually associated with any other domains either, although the Plesk value of 'Used' is > 1.
Please see this screenshot:
The 'retail' certificate above 'retail 2015' it isn't actually on any other domains - I've checked. So how can I remove it? I can see the 'psa' mysql table, is it safe to remove from there?
We're working with a new Plesk 12 server, I have migrated a bunch of sites from an old server, and all SSL enabled sites and certs have come across correctly, however if I add a new site, and SSL cert, the cert is not selectable at domain level, and is not being served at all.
My process is:
At settings level - create new CSR and enter certificate received from provider.
Then select this cert on the IP address management screen.
This has always worked, and presumably still should. But at domain level, Plesk is only allowing me to select the default cert. And even though I have linked the cert to the IP, it is not being served to browsers.
Site has disappeared, though still shows normal in Parallels Panel
I keep a simple site for my art portfolio and some misc files hosted with unlimitedwebhosting.co.uk and Parallels Plesk.
Yesterday I noticed that the site and all its contents give a 404 error, and the home page shows the default page generated by Parallels Plesk Panel. However, all my files are still accessible from ftp and the Panel:
The index.html file is still the same old one as it should be, yet the homepage doesn't show it.
As per the default setup, all the content of the website is in the httpdocs folder, not the root. Though I did try copying the index.html to the root and see if that worked, but it did not. I'm very inexperienced when it comes to web hosting and everything related, so I'm not sure if it's somehow user error or if I should try to contact Parallels.
Here's a history of emails I received from them - notice how the invoices are followed by multiple payment confirmations:
So perhaps cancelling the one payment made them think I wanted to cancel the hosting and the site was taken offline? I don't know.
I have a Plesk host that I am tasked with upgrading. It started with openSUSE 11.4 on Plesk 10.4 and I have upgraded it all the way to openSUSE 12.2 on Plesk 11.09 (fixed minor issues with pop3d and mysql locking on the way). The next upgrade was supposed to be 11.5, but the option to upgrade it never shows up. I have re-instated our support license so I know the license is OK, and also checked that 11.5 supports openSUSE 12.2. The update log doesn't really tell me much either:
Code:
Release PLESK_12_1_18 contains no any build for this OS Release PLESK_12_1_17 contains no any build for this OS Release PLESK_12_1_16 contains no any build for this OS Release PLESK_12_1_15 contains no any build for this OS Release PLESK_12_1_14 contains no any build for this OS
While running the plesk auto installer script and upgrading I get the following error.
Components validation detected at least one important issue: Parallels Panel pre-upgrade check... dpkg-query: no packages found matching psa-atmail dpkg-query: no packages found matching psa-horde dpkg-query: no packages found matching libapache2-modsecurity WARNING: IP address registered in Plesk is invalid or broken: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Panel version: 11.5.30 Update #47, last updated at June 19, 2014 07:32 AM
Started after last update 12.0.18 Update #44 (on CloudLinux): I can send mail wia created mailboxes, but sites can not send mail, contact forms say "Failed to send your message." maillog file also do not indicate sending any messages from domains. Wordpress restore password claims:
"The e-mail could not be sent. Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function." php.ini is default: safe_mode = Off disable_functions = is empty
The issue about not sending mail from domains was - old versions of LVE anf CageFS are incompatible with latest plesk update, updating them caused all sites in Cagefs to throw error 500 with log string: "SecureLVE jail error Invalid regexps: no match for path to base home directory". It was fixed by changing cagefs.base.home.dirs regexp to the real sites folder location. Enabling cagefs back removed one of the files it shouldn't:
"Removed file /var/cagefs/81/xxx/etc/php.d/soap.ini" So be carefull to place necesssary files back. For now everything works. Click to expand... Click for original message
I just want to remove plesk and installed again. i saw (URL...) this page. use this code but plesk not removed. my sites are gone.how can i get back my site? what i should install. When i try install plesk 12 says you already install version 11.0.9
Over the weekend, I upgraded from Plesk 10.3 to Plesk 11.5, using the updater in the control panel. Everything seemed to go well. However, this morning I've noticed that some, not all, email accounts are having trouble logging into the server to send and receive mail. Other accounts are working fine.Via POP, I get this error: -ERR Temporary problem, please try again later
Via SMTP, I get this error: 535 auth failure
I see this in the maillog:
Jun 17 07:15:05 [server] courier-pop3d: LOGIN FAILED, user=[username], ip=[::ffff:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] Jun 17 07:15:05 [server] courier-pop3d: authentication error: Input/output error
And this... Jun 17 07:24:50 [server] smtp_auth: FAILED: [email address] - password incorrect from [host] [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
I replaced the server name, username, host, and IP in the above.
Here are the steps I've tried so far. - Changing the password using the control panel. - Updating the number of daemons in authdaemonrc - Restarting the services
I just upgraded my Plesk on Ubuntu (vServer) yesterday. But after the upgrade I couldn't login to the Panel anymore because all I get when I try to reach the panel (https://panel.examplesite.com:8443) is a white screen.
I rebooted the server and restarted the panel as well as Apache several times with no change.
Its also upgrading Apache from 2.2 to 2.4 and after installation, it break my Apache configuration and getting configuration errors when adding domains from Plesk etc.
Is there any proper way to upgrade PHP 5.5 in Plesk 12.0(Ubuntu 12.04)...
I have a VPS on Webfusion which auto upgraded last night to Plesk 11.5.30 #45. However, I used to have the domain registrar, 123-reg manage my DNS & now since the upgrade I've lost access to all emails & ftp access but the domains still work ok.
whether I should delete all DNS records at 123-reg & point to my VPS now? The DNS parameters in Plesk appear to be different to 123-reg. I
We have created symlinks, modified some configuration files (Plesk included) and ran domains reconfiguration script (zero domain installed, but just in case the script will do anything else).
After that, we have launched Plesk Migration Wizard (from Plesk 9 to last release).
Everything has worked fine: all domains have been migrated on our new folders (/opt based) and owners has been correctly defined for each domain. The same for MySQL and all mail accounts.
We have checked Apache VirtualHost configured by Plesk Migration Wizard : our new folders are used (/opt).
So all seems to be ok.
But now, all websites (configured with Apache and Apache PHP module) returns 403 Forbidden error.
We have try changing to FastCGI with Apache same error.
We have try changing to full Nginx (PHP and static files), some websites run.
We have checked some KB (112884, 800) but all seems to be good.
Is there any steps we have omitted when we move folders ?
After successfully changing to a fresh created dhparam pem and a reissue of my certificate all was well.
A couple of other things needed to be done so I followed the article: [URL] ....
nginxDomainVirtualHost.php was already present so the only thing I did was adding the ciphers I got from another site (ciphers that also gave me XP and IE8 support etc.)
After executing the httpdmng --reconfigure-all command I instantly got a error message:
I am seeing some some some strange behaviour when password protecting directories served by nginx and PHP-FPM. If I have a site set up so that 'Process PHP by nginx' is selected under ('Websites & Domains>Web Server Settings>nginx settings') and set up password protection ('Websites & Domains>Password-Protected Directories') PHP pages are still served without asking for a password.
If I untick 'Process PHP by nginx' the behaviour returns to normal and an attempt to any access files results in the password request. Is this behaviour by design? If so, it is not made clear when you set up the password protection that it will not apply to PHP pages if you have nginx process the PHP pages.
