I found that in the Autoinstaller that there is an option to remove the Plesk Panel as a component. One of my customers ended up selecting this option and nuked all the psa functions. As you can imagine this was a nightmare for them since Plesk went away on them.
Is there a way to disable this feature either pre or post Plesk installation (or both) so future customers don't have this option? If there is a way to do this (and of course enabling it again if necessary)....
After upgrading components as suggested by "Tools&Settings->Plesk->Updates and Upgrades" item, components remained the previous version (PHP 5.3.3 and MySQL 5.1.73) as stated by phpinfo() result and by "Tools&Settings->Server Management->Server Components" list, though "Update Components" is no more permitted as if there is nothing more to update.
I need both PHP and MySQL servers updated in order to run Joomla 3.3.6.
How to update out of date components included in VPS? For instance...
rkhunter is at v1.3.4 whereas the current version is 1.4.2. Why both about updating? Well, in part to reduce the number of false-positive warnings and in part to gain more current protection.
A yum update isn't possible as 1.4.x has moved on quite significantly from 1.3.x and while downloading and installing rkhunter isn't terrible difficult, trying to get it to update the 1.3.4 version included with VPS seems somewhat more difficult...
SpamAssassin is at v3.3.1-3 whereas 3.4.0 is the current release version and 3.3.2 is no longer supported, meaning 3.3.1 is definately way out of support. Why bother? Better spam detection and blocking
When VPS will update to something nearer current versions of both of these components?
Joomla now requires PHP 5.3.10 or above but PHP 5.3.3 is installed. I rely almost exclusively on Plesk to keep the server components up to date and now I can't update my Joomla websites. I tend to avoid working at the command prompt, which is why I lease Plesk. I see that Plesk supports dual (or multiple) PHP versions, but the panel doesn't seem to deploy other versions. Does Parallels plan to allow customers to install multiple versions of PHP from the control panel so that PHP won' break legacy software but the newer apps will be able to run also?
(IMHO a better solution would have been for PHP 5.4 to be fully backward compatible)
We have strange problem with our plesk 11.0.9 Update #62.
Have only 10 domains hosted and all except 1 is working fine.... This particular domain doesn't run PHP scripts at all and when we try to browse a php script from browser, the file starts downloading. I have tried to compare the php settings from other working vhosts but and found no change at all... tried with
Also I tried to change the PHP setting from control panel so that the php file would be generated , but every time I reset the value, it reverts back and no value is preserved.
I have installed NGINX + PHP-FPM + PHP5Memcached + Memcached + APC on my VServer. My Problem is Page loading time of around 40-60 seconds. Installed is 12.0.18 Update #49

Connection Setup: TIME Stalled: 1.860 ms Request/Response TIME Request sent: 0.214 ms Waiting (TTFB): 47.08 s Content Download: 41.757 ms Explanation 47.12
I have reconfigured the Domains but nothing changed and Bootstrap Repair
Code: /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all /usr/local/psa/bootstrapper/pp12.0.18-bootstrapper/bootstrapper.sh repair If I disable Nginx and use "Apache Module" for PHP than the TTFB time is shorter but is not the prefered way. If I use "CGI" or "FASTCGI" without Nginx than the Page loading time is a little bit shorter but with Erros on the Website.
I tried to reinstall Nginx from Plesk but this gave me Error after enable it
I have a Centos 6 server with Heart Internet, who yesterday had an issue with the issue and once back online have been struggling til now getting the mysql service working correctly again and have now refused to provide any further support and redirected me here.
I was following this article here: [URL] ....
I've gotten to point 4. "~# mysqldump -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` -A | sed '1iSET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS = 0;' > /root/dumpall.sql" however it's saying "got error: 145: table './avenue141_dabs/av_options' is marked as crashed and should be repaired when using LOCK TABLES and any attempts made to get into the DB to repair is giving me "error: 1045: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
This issue is urgent as we have a few websites on this server which use mysql databases for their website.
Is there any way to get rid of this loading icon every time you visit the tools and settings page (top right during page loading)? It only happens on our Plesk 12 servers that were not upgraded from Plesk 11.5.
Its irritating because the page layout jumps around after the loading is complete. It is the only page to do it and it happens regardless of the internet speed.
Disabling "Enable access to premium commercial apps on the Interface Management page fixed the issue in Plesk 11.5 but this does nothing in Plesk 12.
Using Plesk 12 on CentOS, I'm unable to remove an old expired SSL certificate from one of my domains. It's not actually associated with any other domains either, although the Plesk value of 'Used' is > 1.
Please see this screenshot:
The 'retail' certificate above 'retail 2015' it isn't actually on any other domains - I've checked. So how can I remove it? I can see the 'psa' mysql table, is it safe to remove from there?
I installed a new ssl certificate, changed it to be default and secure Plesk, switched the IP to use it. Now I wanted to remove the old one but it shows me that there is still one usage of this cert and I can't remove it. But how can I find what is using it?
I tried to remove the ssl certificate but although I have removed it from the IP I'm getting an error that it is still assigned to it. The solution in [URL] .... didn't work cause the Certificate field is grey out in my case.
Plesk 12 will not do it and if you reinstall it you get errors after installation. Maybe a bug but seems nobody is interested in answering my question before.
I tried to remove by
apt-get remove --purge sw-nginx dpkg -r sw-ningx
Both of them display that is removed but after a new installation are the folders not created and maybe old files not overwritten if not deleted.
i have to delete all PTR records in over 80 domains in a Plesk 12 panel, when i tried to run the dns command to remove the PTR record from a domain, i got the error :
Code: Unable del record in DNS server: unable find DNS record ...
There is a KB article about this specific problem : [URL] .... , but it refers to older Plesk versions (8.x-10.x). I gave it a shot by copying the fix file from all 3 different versions to /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/api-common/ and i got the following PHP errors:
Code:
PHP Warning: include_once(class.PHostingManager.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory; File: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/api-common/cuDns.php, Line: 4 PHP Warning: include_once(): Failed opening 'class.PHostingManager.php' for inclusion (include_path='/usr/local/psa/admin/plib:/usr/local/psa/admin/externals'); File: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/api-common/cuDns.php, Line: 4

Is there any workaround this PTR issue? Also, is Parallels going to update the article and provide solution for Plesk 12?
How do I remove psa-proftpd on my Server? or make config by proftpd-basic?I have problems with Game Panel Easy-Wi..or is there a tutorial about this problem with Plesk and Easy-Wi?
Is there a command line way of removing Plesk backups?
I'm looking for the command line equivalent of these steps: Log into Plesk as the server admin > "Tools & Settings" > "Tools & Resources" > "Backup Manager" > check a backup and click "Remove".
We have a script that copies the contents of "/var/lib/psa/dumps/" to Amazon S3 for long-term storage of backups. It runs nightly after a scheduled Plesk backup. Once that script completes successfully, we'd like to delete the Plesk backup to free up disk space. We have Plesk's "Maximum number of backups in the repository" set to 1.
But Plesk appears to keep that backup around while creating a new backup (which makes some sense). This is causing us trouble because the server does not have enough disk space for two backups. As a temporary solution, I'm manually deleting the backup each day through the Plesk admin, but would like to automate it if possible. If automation is overly complex/risky, we'll look at upping our disk space instead.
We can't install or remove any extension after upgrade to Plesk 12.0.8 from 11.5. When we go to Extensions Management > Add Extension for uploading a new extension, we are only allowed to use .deb and .zip. Before we had rpm and zip. This upgrade has been done on a Linux Server with CentOS installed (rpm based). How can we change the allowed extension for uploading an rpm file?
1: Obtain two Nameservers. ns1.maindomain.com, ns2.maindomain.com. (Completed) 2: Glue the Nameservers to the server's IP addresses. 1.1.1.1 -> ns1.maindomain.com / 2.2.2.2 -> ns2.maindomain.com (Completed) 3: Successfully register domain and make sure it's pointing to the correct server. (Completed) 4: Register new domain (client.com) to server using ns1.maindomain.com & ns2.maindomain.com as it's nameservers. (Problem)
Reason: Can't edit the template correctly due to a suffix .<domain> that I cannot get rid of.
In order for me to use (ns1.maindomain.com) and (ns2.maindomain.com) as the namerservers for client.com, I'll need to be able to edit those fields entirely. I don't want Plesk to append the client's domain name to the NS record.
This may be a very simple thing to remove, but I give up.
In Tools & Settings --> IP Adresses I got two IP Adresses:
192.168.1.10 (primary, bold) 89.104.83.139
Since the first IP adress is just the internal IP adress, I'd like to remove it, but I get the message that it's not allowed because it would be the primary IP.
Plesk has no option to just switch the primary IP adress, so what's the way to do it with plesk12?
I am Using Plesk 12 and Centos ... I have moved my name server to my domain registrar and also moved my email.
I removed the webmail and the mail hosting and named and the result would be the Plesk Panel would also get removed automatically.
I restored the recent snapshot and I would like to disable the following services permanently or remove webmail, named and mail hosting service without affecting plesk panel.
SMTP Server (Postfix) Courier POP3 server Courier POP3 server with SSL/TLS support Courier IMAP server Courier IMAP server with SSL/TLS support Courier IMAP authentication daemon DNS Server (BIND) SpamAssassin Plesk milter (Postfix)
I did chkconfig servicename off but it doesn't work.
If I attempt to remove even a small message from the mail queue, using the panel interface, the screen grays slightly but nothing happens. If I refresh the screen after several minutes, I'll sometimes get the following message:
"This operation is taking too long. Check the results in a few minutes."
Switching to Postfix eliminated the problem. But with Postfix, all of my Mailman lists (scores of them) broke, so I had to switch back -- and the problem reappeared.
