Plesk 11.x / Linux :: MySQL Crashing / Not Loading Correctly
May 14, 2014
I have a Centos 6 server with Heart Internet, who yesterday had an issue with the issue and once back online have been struggling til now getting the mysql service working correctly again and have now refused to provide any further support and redirected me here.
I was following this article here: [URL] ....
I've gotten to point 4. "~# mysqldump -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` -A | sed '1iSET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS = 0;' > /root/dumpall.sql" however it's saying "got error: 145: table './avenue141_dabs/av_options' is marked as crashed and should be repaired when using LOCK TABLES and any attempts made to get into the DB to repair is giving me "error: 1045: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
This issue is urgent as we have a few websites on this server which use mysql databases for their website.
I am running a CentOS 6.6 (Final) with Plesk 12.0.18 Update #27 on my dedicated server. I was advised to upgrade my server to one that has a SSD due to better performance. What they failed to tell me was that I would need to perform additional configurations so that Plesk stores the subscription files in the /HDD-var/ directory and NOT the /SDD-var/ directory. Current server
Here are my questions:
1. How difficult would it be (I am a quick learner and can follow exact steps or directions very well) to make Plesk store the files on the HDD rather than the SDD? 2. Is this something I should undertake or is this very difficult to do? 3. If I perform these changes, will they revert to the old way if I perform Plesk updates? Or will the changes I make become permanent?

I have domainA and domainB. domainA hosting files, for security ALL browser access should denied.. EXCEPT domainB make in php call with readfile() to a file on domainA. This should allowed.
domainB => readfile(http://domainA/myfile) => allowed ... all other access should denied.
So I set in vhost of domainA this:
<DirectoryMatch "^/var/www/vhosts/domainA/httpdocs/folder/"> Order deny, allow Deny from all Allow from 127 Allow from server-ipv4 Allow from server-ipv6/128 Allow from ::1/128 </DirectoryMatch>Click to expand...
I am using the plesk firewall and trying to set up SSH rule which only allows from my IP but deny from everywhere else. In previous versions this worked fine by adding an ip selecting Allow from selected sources, deny from others and the icon in the rules would be orange with the lines
allow incoming from xxx.xxx.xxx.xx Deny incoming from all others
However this no longer works as the deny from all others is not appearing and is not being generated in the iptables by plesk.
I would like to install APCu (Alternative PHP Cache) & ZendOptimizer on plesk v12, I just wanted to know if there is any instructions for installing it correctly in a manner that will not cause issues with plesk updates.
Latest Plex installed on a fresh machine. Have tried both Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04 and cannot seem to have my website work correctly regarding URL rewrites. Its enabled in apache...
We have strange problem with our plesk 11.0.9 Update #62.
Have only 10 domains hosted and all except 1 is working fine.... This particular domain doesn't run PHP scripts at all and when we try to browse a php script from browser, the file starts downloading. I have tried to compare the php settings from other working vhosts but and found no change at all... tried with
Also I tried to change the PHP setting from control panel so that the php file would be generated , but every time I reset the value, it reverts back and no value is preserved.
When I deny all other traffic for the "System policy for incoming traffic" to secure the server by only allowing the explicit ports I've requested to open, my server stops operating correctly.
It appears when I set the "System policy for incoming traffic" to deny, it appears to be disrupting various functions such as web traffic over ports 80/443, FTP, SSH, they either work extremely slow or don't work at all.
I brought this up with my Plesk license provider and they stated that the Plesk firewall doesn't add any tracking for ephemeral ports, therefore if you set the policy to drop for incoming/outgoing, it's not going to allow proper TCP communication since the return socket can't be opened. Also that the firewall is an explicit deny system rather than explicit allow based system.
Am I doing something wrong? All I want to do is to block all ports other than the ones I've set to allow. Is this how it is supposed to work?
I have installed NGINX + PHP-FPM + PHP5Memcached + Memcached + APC on my VServer. My Problem is Page loading time of around 40-60 seconds. Installed is 12.0.18 Update #49

I have reconfigured the Domains but nothing changed and Bootstrap Repair
Code: /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all /usr/local/psa/bootstrapper/pp12.0.18-bootstrapper/bootstrapper.sh repair If I disable Nginx and use "Apache Module" for PHP than the TTFB time is shorter but is not the prefered way. If I use "CGI" or "FASTCGI" without Nginx than the Page loading time is a little bit shorter but with Erros on the Website.
I tried to reinstall Nginx from Plesk but this gave me Error after enable it
I have a brand new A8i server from 1&1 that has crashed twice today and could only be rebooted through the 1&1 control panel (not Plesk). Out of the blue the server is not accessible from the Plesk CP and is not responding to pings. I have looked through the logs and do not see anything that stands out (I am not very Linux savvy). Is there somewhere specific that I can look that would tell me why it is locking up/crashing? I have only had the server about 2 weeks and am only running email on it (no websites besides webmail and Plesk CP). It is possible that there is a hardware issue, but I cannot have 1&1 check it until after hours tonight.
Server is an 8 core Intel Atom 2.6GHz with 8GB RAM.
Is there any way to get rid of this loading icon every time you visit the tools and settings page (top right during page loading)? It only happens on our Plesk 12 servers that were not upgraded from Plesk 11.5.
Its irritating because the page layout jumps around after the loading is complete. It is the only page to do it and it happens regardless of the internet speed.
Disabling "Enable access to premium commercial apps on the Interface Management page fixed the issue in Plesk 11.5 but this does nothing in Plesk 12.
Our server is running; Plesk 11.0.9 and CentOS 5.7 it has a Q8200 CPU @ 2.33GHz and 2GB of RAM. Now there are just two websites on the server plus a couple of redirects/forwarding domains, although lots of domains are still on the server but turned off in Plesk. Both websites are OSCommerce sites and I just need to keep these sites going until the end of the year when we will switch to our new Joomla based website.
We have seen an increasing number of server crashes and after various checks of the logs, fitting a new BIOS battery, check of the hardware by EasySpace who host the server, installation of ClamAV, LMD and RKHunter (which did find some Trojans and Suspect software), I have traced it down to some external Http activity that is taking all of my CPU time and RAM. Here is a screen capture of the Htop listing and when I killed these processes the CPU and RAM went back to normal. The problem is that I usually have to restart the HTTPD service and sometimes things get so bad that the server crashes and I have to request a power cycle.
Today on a server of mine mysql keeps crashing and I need to manually restart it over and over, the load as well keeps spiking quite high until I stop mysql for a few minutes. There isn't a extra load of traffic or anything as I have the same amount of users on several other servers doing more then this one.
How do I tell exactly whats happening from then how would I go about fixing it?
Basically it mysql crashes and needs to just be manually restarted via ssh.
I'm running a forum system on my server. Loading pages that don't connect to the forum database load normal. Whenever I browse any page that connects to the forum database on my forum, the page either takes ages to load or times out loading. I never exceed using 14% of one of my two cores, I'm using a quarter of my 1.5GB ram. It's only been loading slow like this since I've switched from running Windows to Ubuntu Server 8.10. I enabled logging slow queries on SQL, but nothing's been recorded. I've installed the server packages through Webmin,
when I access the server through its local IP address it's still very slow.
I've got a server that was running Apache 2.0/PHP 5.2.5 & MysQL 5.0 just fine, however I needed to upgrade to a newer version of MySQL.
So I uninstalled MySQL 5.0 and installed MySQL 5.1, copied the MySQLlibs over, and recompiled Apache/PHP with easyupdate. Apache & MysQL both start/run fine without errors, however PHP files don't load. Just get black pages (HTML works fine obviously).
I went ahead and updated to Apache 2.2 & PHP 5.2.6 while I was at it, but that doesn't change things. I'm not sure why uninstalling MysQL & reinstalling would break any dependencies, but looks like thats the case. Perhaps I need to reinstall some libraries?
Or would it be easier just to reinstall Apache/PHP entirely? I have no data.
Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Panel version 11.5.30 Update #47
The Webadmin app does not install all the folders it needs to run correctly. I have downloaded and repaired the install as noted in [URL] ..... This did not repair the install. All the folders that are needed in the application directory in the vhosts folder are still missing. I have attached the install log.
I want to move the data directory to another partition on all nodes. Apache (vhost), IIS (vhost), MySQL (databases) and Postfix (mailbox content). What's the correct way to do this without breaking functionality of PPA?
My Server Details Panel version11.0.9 Update #61, last updated at May 5, 2014 12:52 AM Windows Server 2008 Service pack 1 64bit Intel Xeon 2.3 with 24GB Ram =======
For self diagnostic I delete all files on my root directory (C:Inetpubvhostsmydomainhttpdocs) and put only 2 files index.php and index.html
When I browse for index.html. It display properly. When I browse for index.php the error persist. What could be wrong?
