This are all items of DNS and by default set that :
SOA Serial= 0
PassSOA REFRESH= 10800. That is OK
PassSOA RETRY = 3600. Looks ok
PassSOA EXPIRE = 604800.Looks ok
PassSOA MINIMUM TTL= 10800 is OK (RFC2308 recommends a value of 1-3 hours)
SOA Serial always is set to 0 and this is a wrong setting.
I have one domain (just one?) that has a serial of 0 (on my server 5.9.57.170 , latest plesk)
Because of that, dns updates don't happen, dns servers don't respond , and my domain issuer is threatening to revoke the domain as it is not working as it should.

In trying to fix this i have switched the dns off,changed the mode, enabled RIPE, but i get what it says [URL] ....

there are many online tools to check the health of our servers, domains, smtp services, etc.
this came to my attention a long time ago, but it is now that i actually want to try and fix this stuff.

We have 2 Cisco PIX 515's in a failover configuration (7.1 series IOS). We have available both a serial failover cable and adequate switch capacity to allow using either the serial or LAN-based approach. We have no current plans to locate the firewalls physically apart.
We have plenty of info on how to configure either, but no recommendation on which is the better choice.
I got my hands on a used 2161DS (unit only, no cables etc), but somehow it doesnt seem to respond on the hyperterminal to any keyboard input.
As its used it doesnt have any support directly from Dell and Dell is unable even to give us a cost estimate as the service tag number is not in their system. Anyway...
When I power up the 2161DS KVM-Over-IP switch all I get in the Hyperterminal is

From there on its not working. The keyboard and mouse directly connected to it are working. Also all the menus, but we can set the network address, do firmware updates etc, only from the serial port connection (once the serial port is working).
I checked the hyperterminal settings (9600 baud, 8 bit, 1 stop bit, no parity, no flow control).
Is there anything that I might be missing?
Perhaps I have to use something like a crossed serial cable instead of a straight one ?
Character set issues?
Terminal type issues?
We have spent days in front of the machine and on the phone with Dell without really getting anywhere. Its our first 2161DS so I still want to believe that we must be missing something.
When you can't access your server via SSH or Remote Desktop, what do you use to fix the problem without filing a ticket?
IPMI?
Serial console?
KVM over IP?
Dial up connection?
Backup network connection?
Get up and walk to the server? :-)
If you had a choice between them, what did you pick and why?
Does your dedicated server provider give it to you for free, or do you have to pay extra for it?
I am currently running Google Analytics/Urchin 5 (v5.7.02), on a server, the server has started to act up, (on its last legs etc) and now I am trying to transfer the Urchin Software to a new server, where it would work effectively.
However upon installing the urchin software on the new server and running it (localhost:9999), I am presented with An Action Items Page, and these following choices

So all I want to do is deactivate the serial and reactivate it on another server.
Does anyone have experience with this or a similar problem or have a solution to this problem. Any help be most appriciated.

FTPS is not working after upgrade from plesk 11. On plesk 11 windows and linux worked fine, after upgrade my windows server, it stopped working.

Latest Update 12.0.18 Update 12 appears to have removed PHP 5.4 and PHP 5.5 from my dropdown under hosting settings.
The only PHP that is left is PHP 5.3
Yet, the updates and upgrades page still lists PHP 5.4 and PHP 5.5 as installed.
Also PHP is still working on the virtual websites that were previously enabled with either 5.4 or 5.5, but not able to change using the Plesk Panel.
Given that Parallels has broken the Panel in that latest automatic update I'd hope it can be resolved ASAP.
I can't even find any references in the KB about Plesk 12 on Windows regarding PHP versions
I can even give feedback about the broken patch as every feedback channel requires paid support.

Prior to using plesk, I had a few sites that had SSL certificates installed, the old fashioned way (manually through IIS). I have now setup those domains in plesk, and I need to somehow make PLESK aware of these SSL certificates.Right now, I setup the domain in plesk, give it a dedicated IP, and allow SSL connections. It chooses the default certificate and my already installed in IIS SSL certificate isnt listed.
Is there any way I can get it listed? I went to the add an SSL area, and it seems that this area is only good for generating new SSL certificates, but mine is good for another 1+ years.The bummer is that for some reason, anytime I make any type of change to the site in plesk, that it seems to overwrite the SSL bindings and changes my manual changes to the correct certificate (through iis) back to the default certificate.

I need to setup 5 email accounts on my domain, each will use IMAP and store messages on server, so total space taken by each account will be 2-5 GB.
I have decided to go with eurovps.com as I'm close to them and ping is fast.
What is the best solution for IMAP and large email accounts: Linux Cpanel, Linux Plesk or Windows Plesk?
Each account will be accessed by 2 people differently by Thunderbird and occasionally by webmail, so nice webmail is a plus.

Currently Port 587 is totally Not Working which is getting a few of my clients quite upset. This is due to the fact that their stupid ISP actually blocked off ALL access to Port 25.
