I've tried to install the DotNetNuke 7.0.6 appl. over plesk. if i call the website, i get a configuration error

"Parser Error Message: The connection name 'LocalSqlServer' was not found in the applications configuration or the connection string is empty."
When I try to install DotNetNuke to a windows web space on PPA 11.5 #4, it fails with bad gateway.
I've tried this multiple times with same result. Other apps seem to work fine.
whenever one of my customers tries to install an application from the application installer, they get an error that looks like this.

I recently upgraded from Plesk 11.5 to 12.0. I also just got an extra IPv4-address for my server (provider is Strato), unfortunately I have some problems with adding it to Plesk.
The IP should be assigned automatically through DHCP, but when I did a Reread IP in Plesk, nothing happened. I tried to manually add the IP, but then Plesk manually configured it and I lost the IPv4-connectivity (IPv6 kept working though).
Now when I want to remove the IP, I get the following error:
Is this a bug or a problem with my specific configuration?

My question is, whether this is a new procedure change for Plesk 11/12? I believe, I used to see application vault enabled as default in all my other old servers.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with Plesk 11. I have a few websites with different subscriptions, each running in a dedicated application pool.The moment I access the website (via browser), the application pool is automatically stopped and 503 Service Unavailable is returned.
After I manually start the application pool, it runs (no stop icon for that app pool in IIIS Manager) until the first attempt to load the website is made.
The users for the respective pools are the ones created by Plesk when subscriptions were created.Details: Pesk Panel 11.0.9 Update #53, IIS8, running on Windows Server 2012.
We uploaded one .Net application and one Java Web application to Parallels server.
.Net application is configured by default.
Our Java web application has JSPs and Servlets.
With respect to our Java web application we are able to access the JSPs but any request to Servlet is not hitting the Servlet.
We are able to access either static JSP/HTML pages ONLY. But we need to process Servlet requests also.

I have following problem when I try to cange the configuration file for Nginx in Plesk.
Details:
- Using Wordpress
- vServer
- PHP is handled through Nginx
- Memcached is enabled
To use the caching plugin "Cachify" in combination with memcached, the nginx configuration file must be edited. Following config should be used:

Yesterday I migrated a domain with the migration tool from a Debian 7.6 Plesk 12.0.18 MU35 box to a Debian 7.6 Plesk 12.0.18 MU35 box
This domain have a simple DNS configuration. The A registry for the domain.com was an own IP instead the IP of the server. Rest of the DNS configuration was the same.
After migration the A registry for the domain.com was an own IP too (as expected) but also the A registry for mail.domain.com
Before migration, in the old server:
A domain.com x.x.x.x (own ip)
A mail.domain.com y.y.y.y (server ip)
After migration, in the new server:
A domain.com x.x.x.x
A mail.domain.com x.x.x.x
The migration had changed the IP for mail.domain.com for the IP of the A registry for domain.com
Very strange. I double-checked it (as the domain in the "old" server was suspended)
Client don´t have access to the control panel, so no changes done.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI run a virtual server (Ubuntu 12.04, Plesk 12, Postfix 2.9.6) using plesk to manage multiple domains. The server address is server.domain1.com. I use plesk to also manage domain1.com regarding all services, including DNS and mail.
What I just found is that postfix sometimes issues the following warning:

The essential part of my main.cf is:
myhostname = server.domain1.com
mydestination = localhost.$mydomain, localhost.localdomain, localhost

I do not have any issues with receiving or sending e-mails right now, but would like to get rid of the error message however.
Could it be the problem that postfix automatically sets mydomain to $myhostname with skipping the first part (i.e., mydomain is implicitly set to domain1.com)? Should I manually set mydomain to server.domain1.com instead? Any other recommendations? Since mydomain seems to be used in multiple options [URL] ..., I wonder what I might destroy with changing this? As all mail services run without any further troubles at the moment, I don't want to break this...
As I assume that quite some people use a plesk-based server to manage the domain to which the server itself belongs to, I would assume that there should be a general fix/check to updated mydomain accordingly?
Plesk Windows 12, MailEnable mailserver
I added users directly to mailenable (using their migration utility to import from an old mail server which plesk does not support). The domains exist in plesk but not the individual email users/mailboxes.
Now I want to add those email users to plesk but it doesn't let (not surprisingly), when I try to add a user it returns an error: "Unable to update the mail account properties:mailmng failed: MEAOPO.Mailbox.AddMailbox failed"
My question is: How can I add the users that already exist in MailEnable to the plesk configuration? (i.e. ignore the error and add the user to the plesk database, or even better yet if plesk can read the configuration and add all users)
Tthe plesk kb articles suggest running mchk.exe but that is designed to take users from plesk and add them to mailenable, I need the reverse).

Usually everything has been working fine with this .htaccess-file until today. There hasn't been any change on the system.
If you click on the hyperlink to the restricted area the login window appears where you need to type in your username and a password. After typing in these data the following message appears in the browser:

The apache error log file contains the following message:
Request exceeded the limit of 10 sub request nesting levels due to probable configuration error.
Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary.

The increase of the LimitInternalRecursion does not solve the problem. So I switched the LogLevel in the httpd.conf file from warn to debug and looked again on the entries of the error log.

good firewall program that is recommended and includes the following;
- Attack Protection (Block the IP's automatically)
- Does all basic firewall necessities
- Uses the least amount of resources (CPU, Memory) possible
- Is the best out there
I currently use Sygate Firewall and find it very useful. Just would like to know if there is anything better than this.
I am just looking for the best that would be for my server. I host a couple game servers on there, and that is about it.

I am trying out Plesk 11 for windows, so far I like it and will most likely buy it. I am having a problem with a new domain, however. I just created the domain, and I installed wordpress on it using Plesk's application page. If I go to [URL] .... it will not load, however if I go to [URL] .... it loads just fine. I even edited the directory to make sure that IIS looks for index.php first, but this didn't fix it. What am I missing?
